I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Things you should know before taking admission in nit raipur.

Likes

The community here is very good you get people from other parts of countries and people with different thoughts come hear and share a good community.
Placement is quite good as compared to other nits and private engineering colleges as good companies frequently visit here
Clubs and committee are there for your entertainment and also you can become one of the members of the club and improve your communication and overall appearance in public.

Dislikes

Sometimes we feel that the professor here are not good enough to be called as professor they don't care about your studies.
Sometimes the facilities here can make you think about your choices
Hostel facility is less for boys as well as girls

Placement Experience:

Being an nit students give so many advantages over the other private engineering colleges as the placement is quite good we have almost 85-90 percentage of students getting good salary packages. Companies like Amazon ,de shaw , visa and other multinational companies frequently visit for on campus placement and almost give around 15-35 lpa CTC which is quite good and also some students of top branches got 55 lpa in other on campus companies.

Honest review of NIT Raipur

Likes

Placement rates are pretty good here especially for technical students.
Faculty here are also supportive and help us in all the events and extra curricular events as well
Crowd here is pretty competitive and hence will help you grow not only as an individual but also as a group.

Dislikes

College hostels are a minus point here as students are not as satisfied as they should be
Lots of money that can be used for infrastructural upgrading aree being used in areas which don't benefit the students
Cultural and sports events are not upto the mark

Placement Experience:

Placements and internship rates are pretty good in our college especially if you are from a technical background. Even if you don't receive a good package, you can always apply off campus or take up anything else as the college curriculum trains us for everything.

Insides about NIT Raipur

Likes

Flexibility of fees structure,events,clubs and commitees, placement cell,peer groups

Dislikes

Campus is small as compared to other college campus and can contain more food stalls aur venues inside it
Parking problem is there students have to keep their vehicles far from where they have their classes
Library should be on for 24hours and not just from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening with the luxury of issuing books anyday

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT Raipur is good but due to layoffs, and recessions it was a dry season in 2023 as many companies didn't come, and hence recruitment was less than expected. The average package for my branch i.e. IT is 2000000 and the median salary in 2023 was 1400000 per annum. Companies like hyper verge, ziess, arcesium, de-shaw, adobe, amazon, dboi, visa, Paypal, oracle, Microsoft, Brane Enterprises, zscalar came through off-campus and on-campus opportunities and hired candidates with decent packages. 90% of students of every branch are getting placed whereas the rest goes for higher studies.

Teacher and the senior of this college are helping in nature

Dislikes

College does not provide hostels for all the students they have to live outside of the campus

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is quite good almost upto 90 percentage students got placed in cse And here the lower branches like metallurgy and mining have decent placement as the college has firstly open for these two branches only

I love about the sports commity. Grounds are also good for playing multiple sports .
The campus is good and the environment is greenery.and the subject provided like yoga and value education is very very good for students
All faculty are very cooperative and helpful.

Dislikes

Some teachers are behave very roodly.timing of classes is very bad
Timing of starting of college is very bad & laws of library is very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My big brother help to take the branch because after graduation many opportunities there.it is prepare very good for future mining engineer because practical knowledge is there.I want to teachers do more efforts for study of students . Paper level is good moderate.

College placement is too good. And many companies come to give the jobs.
Facilities are good and syllabus is not too much.

Dislikes

Infrastructure are not good in my college. Hostel are less.
Campus area is too small . The area of college is 100 acres.
Sports facilities are not good and gym is very small

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester Students are available for placement.there are too many companies visited my college for give placement.name company Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Infosys and too many. Highest package of my college this year 2023-24 is 65 lacs. And average package is 12 to 15 lacs. 90% student get easily find placement. My plans after getting the degree is to find decent placement.

Everything about NIT Raipur.

Likes

I like that my college is in the main city so the transporation is very good
The faculties are very supportive and knowledge full.
The placements of my collge are overall good.

Dislikes

The campus size is not as much compare to other nits.
Hostels are not available for everyone in our college.
The campus is not so much beatifull of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of Electronics and communication since both the fields are very demanding in future. Also I am having interests in the course . The curriculam includes lab as well as theory. I suggest that the development is needed such that the course should be more practical.

Honestly the " NITRR "

Likes

Transport convenience for locals as we have our own railway station , Saraswati Nagar Railway station Raipur
Faculty are cooperative with students and never presurise much for studies , chill with mass bunks and all
In city campus of NITRR is best , you have access to all things city have and can enjoy them all

Dislikes

Hostels are not enough for students , we have to opt PGs for staying
NIT Raipur is actually a aquired collage , thus old infrastructure and kinda old school feelings
Campus is small and very less sports material available

Placement Experience:

Students are offered placement in 6 semester and before that you can get intership opportunity from collage itself , I dont have number of companies visited for campus and no. of offers made but percentage placement of all branches in our collage are approax 70% and so in my branch 71% with average of 11.43 LPA CTC median of 10 LPA CTC and the highest pakage offered being 55 lakh CTC . Overall B.Tech degree percentage placement is 74% with average of 13.67 LPA CTC , median of 11.6 LPA CTC and highest placement 55 LPA CTC My plans after getting degree is no further educations I just aim to be placed . Actually even I am in Mining department I aspire about doing job in IT company and thus I need placement in IT company .

The number of opportunities available is great
You get a great deal of exposure as students from good academic background join you.
Placement opportunities are good for lower branches too

Dislikes

The method of education could use some improvement

Placement Experience:

7th semester students are eligible for placements. As I'm a first year student I don't have a deep knowledge about the placements. But the average package offered here is about 12-13 lakhs. Highest offered last year was 55lakh/annum.

Behaviour of professor and supporting staffs

Placements are quite good in the institution comparison to other institutions. We all know the placement of good branches Like :-cs , it are always good But in this institution the placement of core branches are more the expected

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
