It's a beautiful campus and well reputed university and the teaching staff is great with good experience
Every faculty members are not perfect but mostly are enough good with teacher and student bonding mind-blowing i can praise every staff members as well professors whose role is shaping students future wow
The hostels are quite decent and the food quality is also good.

THE 2ND CONS WILL BE ABOUT THE CAMPUS. SMOKING IS BAN IN CAMPUS BUT SOME CANTEENS SELL IT ILLEGALY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. 2. SOME CASES OF RAGING ARE ALSO SHOWN TIME TO TIME
In Jamia there is so many courses but the management for all courses are not enough good. Administration should take action regarding all the courses. Nowadays in jamia the management is going slow down. I mean it not effective in favour of students.
I don't like to Cheers of my university,and there are lots of things which have no importance of using in jamia Millia Islamia University and there are lots of disturbance in reading hall of jamia

Lab Facility of Jamia Millia Islamia is very Good and Here Workshop are also available and Workshop is very helpful for skill development
Overall Infrastructure of Jamia millia islamia is good Girls boys ratio approx 10:3
Some Faculties Understand the problem of student but some Faculties doesn't understand the problem of student

Quality of Canteen food is Average and Also canteen food expensive
No of fest is very less in faculty of Engineering campus

Overall placement of jamia millia islamia is good after 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement Name of some company that visit for placement like Tcs,Dlf, KPMG, Byjus, zomato.. etc Approx 75 precent passing student get placed After getting degree I also prepare for placement

Likes

University campus is very large and has lush green gardens
We can collaborate with different faculty of courses as this is a university
Course like b tech is very affordable here

Dislikes

Management is not helping you have to do things on your own
Some faculty members are not good enough
Some laboratories need improvement and proper equipments

Campus placement is some what quite moderate it's not too good and not too bad There are no. Of companies visited and good packages are offered In ECE somewhat around 70% students are placed And in CSE it is 85-90%

Jamia Millia Islamia University have diverse student body, student from across india and and abroad provide a vibrant and multicultural environment
JMI located in new delhi, this provides numerous opporcunities for students in internships, networking and exposure
university have strong alumni network across sector like government, corporate , media ,education and graduation

Dislikes

strict regulation and rules regardingstudent behavior, attendence and conduct, which may feel restrictive to some student
hostel at JMI have limited availability and there is often high demand for rooms and some hostels may have outdated facilities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus palcements from 6th semester however most companies require minimum student CGPA Many companies like amazon,microsoft, adobe , tcs ,infoys ,tech mahindra , ola swiggy , zomato, flipkart ,paytm etc visited campus for placement drives. The highest package is 60 LPA by atlassian, while the lowest was 3 LPA by tcs and infosys in 2023, 85-90% students get placement in various companies. after getting degree i will start my own startup with my college colleague and would like to involved in some social work in education

adding up experience-JMI maths

i like teachers have deep knowlodege about subjects thus whatever we asked they have answers
teachers are puntual nad dilligant,some teachers even though they are old they have this dedication to job which i love alot
social interactions is something i like alot myself keralite the students are so good at coperation

Dislikes

infrastructure of jamia is bad,it doesnt have any developments at all
there are no events in jamia,a colllege life is supppsed to be folourful however jamia only promotes academics so no programs unlike du
hostel facilities are not available to all who take admission

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is goid it also include comouter subjects like programming web designing etc so its a good choice for a nathematician,exam timing is 3 hours which is okey but for some calculating subjects like numerical methods a bit more time would be appreciated and for real world applications subject mthemtics itself have a different study approach and job approach so not qyite sure about that.

Rewiring the stigma about Jamia

Likes

The subject expertise of the faculty members in their relevant field of study and they are very much approachable.
A very beautiful campus, with places buzzing with amalgamation of different cultures and richness of givings and intakes.
A very rich library and an atmosphere where everyone you meet are goal oriented and much into research. The intellectual spirit!

Dislikes

Poor sanitation facilities in atleast some of the departments.
Lengthy and lagging administrative procedures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The mathematical background that the course has is the main thing that attracted me towards this particular course. Also, the department provides a variety of cbcs courses and optionals to tailor out the curriculum according to our tastes. The faculty members always encourage us to go beyond the course framework and work on research papers and even provide co authorships. One area that needs to be improved is the inclusion of dissertation in the master's programme for economics. Also a six month semester is wound up in almost 5 months.

Campus is so beautiful, they have high maintanence of garden.
The peoples of jamia are passionate about studying and developing them.
Most of the students i met have clear goals.

Dislikes

The administration is not so good in jamia.
Students are struggling while applying for exams in queues in coe.
Regional comparison, also high checking for jamia students.

Jamia: A Dream Destination, But Not Without Its Flaws

Course Affordability: Relatively, fee structure is less. This gives us the opportunity to be in a Central University without thta expense other than expenses to stay in Delhi. That too Jamia Nagar where the college is located is also cheaper
College space: Campus is vast. It gives us enough space to find our space. Enough reading hall facilities and Textbook halls are available
Faculty: Faculties are almost good excluding some PhD scholars taking the core papers

Dislikes

Administrative Communication: There comes a clear lack of effective communication between the administration, department, examination controller and so on. This creates confusions among srudents as well and this makes effect on their attitude as well
Gender Inequality: In the case of hostel procedures, from the admission to administration, every this and that procedures are differently carried out for boys and girls.
Unnecessary procedures : During the time of admission and Hostel Registrations, students has to go around making different kind of paper works for petty things which is well evident in ones appearance than to be in the paper

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is not revised any recently. Some faculty members also do have concern about it. So it is a challenge keeping up with the relevance. And debates and quizes are usually conducted as part of different programs in the department.

In our college campus environment is very friendly and students react very kindly
College campus is good eco-friendly and greenery
Our college has sports complex where we can play cricket,football, volleyball, badminton,tabbletannis, basketball

Dislikes

College has not that much infrastructure as it is in new delhi and a hub for more than 20000 regular students
Nowadays placement effectiveness is also going low
Illegal entry of outsiders. Ther enter jumping above the walls

Placement Experience:

University provide campus placements for various courses but in our course there is very limited campus placements. Most of the students get placed out os campus. My plan after getting degree is to be place in a manufacturing company like TATA-BOEING

Jamia Millia Islamia - A College Which should be known for its better side

Likes

Great faculty members. All of the are highly qualified and helpful
A complete opportunity for character development and chance to interact with people from varied courses.
Very affordable hostel , canteen and the fees is also very low and great return on investment.

Dislikes

Not good girls to boy ratio in engineering. For a class of 70 people there are hardly 11-12 girls.
No big college fest like other engineering colleges.
Very lazy and irresponsible people in the placement cell which affects the placement.

Placement Experience:

The placement records are quite decent with around 80% of the students getting placed every year. Companies like delloite, TCS, Optum, Accenture and Amazon visit our campus with the average salary of 8 LPA. The highest package this year till mow is 18.5 LPA.

Jamia's life!

Likes

Playground is the best thing in my university.
Dining and canteens are also very good and affordable.

Dislikes

Water dispenser are sometimes not working but otherwise its good.

Placement Experience:

Placement rate of my college Jamia Millia Islamia is very good compared to any other college or university. From 5th semester companys come for the placement and if the students are under the eligibility criteria then the can sit in the placements.

JMI Mass Communication is among the best mass communication programs in the country. The university is also famous for fine arts, law courses, and architecture.
