Likes

Gym in our college is advanced and have good equipment
Library in our college is so good and have a lot of books and maintenance is excellent
Sac ground is very good and maintained very well.

Dislikes

Mess is not good as expected this to be improved
Electricity issues in the college is regular which is.showing a great influence
Admin block staff don't respond quickly for the request

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cource curriculum is good enough but not as expected the faculty is not bad but some of the professors are very good and teaching techniques should be changed some professors are not serious about the curriculum

A review without a flaw

Likes

The campus is huge to even walk. We often use cycles to ride.

Dislikes

The freshies don't get a healthy food in mess.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not different from other NITs. The syllabus is quiet similar from other NITs. Few professors are quiet skilled as iit professors . But few subjects are too nasty , these subjects need to be revised or changed

A review without a flaw

Likes

The campus is wide and huge. A 250 acre campus is enough to use a cycle.
Few technical clubs and cultural fests every year.
Some professors are quiet good at teaching (iit standard)

Dislikes

The invigilation is too lose. One can cheat and get marks in exams without hardwork.
Too much of corruption in contracts made by dealers. Literally a building of 50 cr worth is left ruined because it was unsafe(corruption again)
Fewer placements and not too many seniors are inspirational

The course curriculum is good enough but not as expected. The faculty is not bad enough but some of the professors are very good. The teaching techniques need to be changed. Professors are serious about curriculum.

Yes the course I have choosen is Electronics and communication engineering. The faculty is somewhat good. Overall the course curriculum is not as expected but good. The difficulty level is somewhat more only we need to focus on our studies to overcome them.

SVNIT SURAT REVIEW

The departments are well equipped with all the necessary facilities and the college library is very good.SVNIT is renonwed for its strong academic programs and the college offers variety of courses and research facilities for btech and mtech students
SVNIT has a good track of record of placements with many reputed companies visiting every year
the location of the college is also the plus point as its located in a city and students can go and enjoy outsideyoo

Dislikes

some of the buildings the OLD CRC is out of order and cannot be used due to structural fault in the construction
the mess menu is not so great and doesn;t provide non veg food they only provide egg once a week
the lack of diversity is also a drawback as 50% of students are from home state

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is decent and not soo great..the students are officially eligible for placements in the 3rd year but before the 3rd year the students can opt for internships and can get a ppo if they perform good. The overall percentage of people getting placed is 2022 is 78.6% and its declined to a value of approx 50% in the year 2024(speaking of the ECE brach only). Some of the companies visiting are JPMC,NVIDIA,GE healthcare,IBM,etc

I like the overall campus which is good enough.
The overall environment is good in the sense of study and enjoyment.

Dislikes

The food given for the first years is not good also the hostels are need to be developed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is pretty much good. The faculty is also better someway. The exams were conducted as per the timings. Overall the curriculum is good. New teaching techniques must be implemented. Still better staff is required.

Review of SVNIT

Likes

Library facility is good. 3 floor building with central ac and lots of books makes it amazing space.
Sports facilities are good. There is a large ground in which cricket, football, etc. can be played.
Location of college is good. Everything is accessisble from college. It is in the posche area so things are costlier in the area.

Dislikes

Infrastucture of college is too old. COnsrtuction services are not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students can sit for placements from 7th semester. many companies visit the college for recruitment in different domain. Highest package is around 44 lpa and average package is of 9 lpa. Around 70-75% students who are elligible for placement get placed every year.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
