IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. Highest package around 1.9 crores the previous year and the lowest 5 lakh per annum. The company visited in our college like- L&T Infotech, Paytm, Google, Microsoft, Etc.

The placements statistics are really well in mining as per the record 90%+ students get placed. Students can get PPO(pre-placement offer) in the 3rd year and finally get placed in the 4th year. The companies that gave placements offer to include Google, Microsoft, Vedanta, ESSL, Coal India and many more are there. There is also a career development cell in the college that takes care of the students and making them successful, enough to get placed.

ISM Dhanbad is good in placements, infrastructures, faculties etc. It has 29th rank in NIRF 2020. It is good in terms of ROI. The main reason for me to join here was the affordable fees to pursue MBA. The admission is merit based on CAT scores, WAT and PI.

IITs are the premier institutes for engineering in India. Hence I have taken admission in an IIT. IIT DHANBAD is established in 1926 as ISM and then converted to an IIT. As it is an old institute, it has great reputation.

Reason why I preffered this college was that I had applied for a few colleges out of which I got selected in this. To take admission in this college we were supposed to have scored 75% marks ( 65% for SC/ST students) in 12th grade. They admit students to the course on the basis of JEE Advanced scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. Admission for the course generally starts from July. The admission process is simple. I preffered the online mode where I filled my application in the official website of the institute and attached the required documents. Then I paid the application fee and submitted the form.

IIT, Dhanbad has been ranked among the top management institutes by leading rating agencies like NIRF, Business India etc. My relatives introduced me to this institute which made me curious about joining this college. The admissions for the college are held by online mode only. I went to the official website filled my form paid the application fee (Rs 1,600). Providing my CAT scores was also mandatory. After this I had my interview and WAT test. Registration for the course generally starts from January.

Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad is famous IIT in which management studies have a separate section. To study in an IIT branded MBA is really worth. The institute was ranked 29th in NIRF for its management course in 2020. In addition the fees are quite affordable.

I heard a lot about ISM before joining for being well recognised in India in earth science department and having a good placement in PSUs like ONGC etc. The department is rich in terms of apparatus and oldest in india and have bettar alumni connection. I was selected in the first cut off by JAM and assigned ISM and some forms were have to be filled before coming to ISM and the rest of the admission procedure was done on the day of physical registration that was 23 July and hostel was alloted on the same day.

The highest package was given by Bloomberg London of 90 lakhs to 2 students and 2nd highest package was offered by Google who gave a package of 56 lakhs to 7 students. The minimum package was 9 lakhs. Many students also opt for higher studies and you will get plenty of opportunities if you will be honest with yourself. The placement percentage is expected to reach more than 90 for the academic year 2020-21.
