IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Nearly all the top companies come to college like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Capgemini, Barclays, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, Walmart, PwC, Mckinsey& company and many more top companies come every year to hire students. As per data, the Highest package was Rs 54.57 lakhs pa to 7 students by GOOGLE. The average package of college is Rs 11lakhs pa. Various profiles are offered from coding, data analyst, tech analyst, management consultant, consulting, finance, IT sector, health sector are present every year. I'm planning to get into Management consulting directly from college. Apart from this here the placement in the Petroleum Engineering branch is highly appreciated, Companies like ONGC, shell, Carin ExxonMobil, Mecon, Schlumberger. etc comes here and gives students a decent package.

The placements for earth science branches is very good when compared to other colleges. The highest package offered this year is 90 LPA (off-campus placement, the on-campus highest on-campus placement is 54.57 LPA).

The placement of our college is very great. Many students are placed at a very pay package. The average package of college varies with departments or branches. For the electrical department, the average package of last year was 17 LPA.

More than 20 multinational companies and around 120 national companies visit the college every year Last year a student got an on-site campus placement of around 54.lacs And the average stay about 10 lacs per annum

Companies come for placement in the final year (ie 7 sem) .But a student can get a pre placement offer in the 3rd year itself. Companies like Amazon, tata steel (to name a few) visit for placement. Total offers made vary from 400-500.

You can avail of campus placements after the 4th semester but still, you can avail yourself as your wish through off-campus. There are many high companies which were being visited every year. The highest package is being availed for the CSE dept but the earth sciences branch does have good placements.

Campus placement is good every year. This year's average package was around 17-18 lakh. The highest package was 90lpa given to one student in London. In petroleum ONGC used to give a CTC of 19 LPA, cairn India 17 LPA. IT companies like Microsoft offered a package of 45 LPA to 18 students and sprinkle offered 45 LPA to 6 students.

Students start getting stipend internships from the second year of the course itself. The placement percentage is around 70%, around 150+ reputed companies visit for on-campus placements. The highest package this year was 90 lakhs per annum and the being lowest 6 lakhs per annum. I plan to get a job in core sector after completion of my degree.

7th semster onwards, students sit for placement. Bloomberg london, google,microsoft, goldman sachs, barclays,amazon are regular recuiter in campus. for 2021 , Highest package was Rs 90lakhs as a data analyst in bloomberg london. 94% of students were placed this year including higher studies, off campus placement. I am planning to get a job after this degree.

From the 6th sem onwards students are eligible for on-campus placements. Many major companies offer placement in the college. This year highest packages were 81 and 90 lakhs. And some students go for higher studies.
