I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

NITK : At a glance

Likes

Infrastucture of the campus campus. Location where it is located.
The only campus has a private beach which is so beautiful.

Dislikes

The mess food of the B.Tech. first year has not so good and there most of the things are costly.

The placements from NITK are good. Almost every eligible student gets placed irrespective of their branch with a decent amount of package. Students can apply for the placements by the end of 6th semister, which usually starts from the month of August. The companies which visit the campus for placements are as follows: Meta, Netflix, Amazon, and all the rest of the companies which usually talked about.

The natural beauty of the campus is so attractieve

The mess food in some of the hostels is not of good

The placements of NITK are actually very good. Companies start visiting the campus in the month of August. All the big MNCs visit the campus for placement drives. The highest package for this year was 54 lac per annum. The average package for this year was 12 LPA.

College is good with high placement

Good campus life and faculty is very good.

It is very far from my home and there is sometimes water shortage

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very nice and faculty members are really supportive and helpful and faculties qualifications are really impressive and the exam takes place from time to time quiz 1, mid sem, quiz 2, end sem. The student ratio is good.

Decent internship in my college nitk

Nitk suarthkal private beach. I liked it.

Dislikes

Nitk management. Here management is not too good.

Placement is on average good. In my college national institute of Technology Karnataka. Avg package-18.25 lake ctc, Highest package- 52 lakh ctc. From the previous year this year's 2023 placement is better. No need to worry much about placements.

first of all campus i liked the most which is situated besides the arabian sea and have private beach. campus is spread over approx 300 acres .campus is almost green .infrastructure is also good inhe college.
there is two library in nitk one is central library where we can borrow the books and study also the timing of central library is 9 to 5 pm . other is E-library which is for study and fully centralised AC MOST IMPORTANTLY TIMING IS good 9 to 1 am .
placement cell and nitk step i liked the most .teaching is basically practical.

Dislikes

temperature of the college is very high almost you have to face summer whole year .
mess food as a north indian i have faced lots of problem in settliong with south indian taste
collge is situated very far away from the city

placement of the college is very good almost all the eligible students get placed in good companies. Companies like amazon Flipkart, oracle, jio, airtel, google, Microsoft, and more than 400 companies visit for placement every year. Mostly in every branch, 95 percent of students get placed in good companies. My plan is to get a good job after getting my degrees.

A true and vast opinion on NITK

Likes

All the things are very good at NITK specially its beach.
There is everywhere lush of greenery and all the hostel blocks are well planted in their surroundings.

Dislikes

Ejection of drainage water is not proper, sometimes it smells

Students can apply for the placements for the 7th semester. All the big MNCs like Google, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, DeShaw, and Oracle visit every year the campus. For B.Tech. they approximately give almost 700 no. of offers.

Pursuing my dream in NITK

The campus life is very good in NITK. We have our own private beach where we can just go and can feel somewhat relaxed.
Being ranked as nirf 12, I feel myself very lucky to be a part of this institute.
The peer groups are also very nice. One can just forget about all the stress when he/she is with them

Dislikes

The mess food is not that good.
The hostel for first year is not good. Even the first years should be allotted double sharing rooms.
It is difficult to communicate for those who are not that fluent in English.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year the students become eligible for placement but the students start getting internships from 1st year only. As many as 350 companies visit the campus every year. Some of them are Amazon, Mercedes Benz, oil India, ongc, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Infosys etc . The highest package is about 45 lpa and the average is about 20 lpa. About 92-93 per cent of students get placed every year.

Brief review of NITK

Likes

IRIS website for all affairs in NITK curated at one place.
Peaceful beach to go when you feel low or anything.
Proper guidance from faculty and flexible timetable.

Dislikes

Water scarcity is one notable problem that i disliked.
WiFi is not well in all rooms it needs work.
No proper maintenance of other amenities.

Placement Experience:

The placement record is excellent in NITK with a 90% placement rate. If no campus placement is offered student can opt for his personal job search. Students will be eligible for placements from the 7th semester. And students will be given internship opportunities in 3rd year. The highest package is 2cr(off campus), 54lpa (on campus).

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
