I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many MNCs like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft will hire us nearly 800 companies visit our campus, Nearly 90%students will be placed in all branches Our branch has 99%placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good and the faculty is awesome I am interested in the Software side so I opted for Information Technology at NITK. All the faculty have done Ph.D. and the teaching method is good they share ppts and slides, there would be quizzes generally and a mid-sem and end-sem exam for every semester and it would be quite easy and can be passed easily. If we read a bit easily we would get 9 plus cgpa.

All the faculty have done PhD and the teaching method is good they share the ppts and slides there would be quizzes generally and a mid-semester and end sem exam for every semester would be quite easy and can be passed easily.

Placements are really good in our college. Around 99.11 percent of our branches got placed highest placement of 57.5 CTC. And the average is 20 CTC for our branch .highly paid jobs are provided by companies like Deshwa, Oracle, Amazon, Google, etc.

NITK - A dream of many engineering aspirants

Likes

The thing which I like about my college is its annual club incident which is conducted at the end of even semester.
I like the way in which all the functioning bodies in the institute cooperate to maintain the standards of this prestigious university.
I also liked the technical fest, Engineer which is held in the middle of odd semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen a btech in information technology course because I have studied this college placement history and the IT branch had 100 per cent placement with an average of 24 lpa. Also, I am very interested in it sector.

Likes

The coding culture in NITK and the Coding clubs.
The Incident and engineer event competitions.
The faculty and staff members who always support and help.

Dislikes

The amount of snakes and insects present in campus.
The space given to some of the robotics club.
The facilities provide by means of sport are very less

The companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Deshaw are visiting campus for the placements. The students in the 7th semester are mainly eligible for campus placements. Off-campus placement facility is also there.

An brief and honest opinion

Likes

I liked how the faculty was ready to lend a hand whenever we needed it. They are always there to help you just have to reach out.
Campus Life is also great. The amenities they provide, the seniors you meet are all great. Seniors are very friendly and encourage you always to try new things.
Placements wise NITK is pretty decent. It is one of the tier-1 NITs. The placements achieved here are no joke.

Dislikes

I didn't like the way some faculty members teach. They just do it for the name sale and leave. Most of them are not like this so it's all good.
I didn't like how the swimming pool was left abandoned since COVID and was never restored while our fees was always including maintenance for the pool.
I didn't like the fact that the student council openly asked every club to withdraw their posts that show support to LGBTQ+ community during Pride month since some students found it uncomfortable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thoroughly taught and executed. It is updated regularly to keep up with the times. I chose this course because computer science is a booming industry right now. Software engineers are needed everywhere. The faculty available is more than enough a rough ratio would be around 1:16. Most of the teachers have a doctorate in their respective branches and they have their own methods of teaching. Some of them are interesting while others bore me personally. Exams are conducted every 1.5 months including quizzes, mid sems, and end sems. They were not too easy but they were made keeping in mind to pass an average student.

COLLEGE I LOVE AFTER IITs

Almost everything from beach to classes atmosphere here is amazing with amazing people from all over india

Dislikes

Nothing ya sometimes mess food and little bit load

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester we got internships and PPOs and college placement is around 96% and around 600-700 companies visit our college after college maybe I will pursue startup or will aspire for civil services

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
