Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Academic Excellence: NITC's commitment to academic rigor was commendable. The challenging curriculum

Dislikes

Limited Recreational Spaces: The campus, while academically enriching, lacked ample recreational spaces.
Communication Challenges: At times, communication channels between students and administration seemed unclear.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually I want to do my btech from cse branch and finally I got seat in this nit Calicut. Faculty are good and the teaching is fine. As I was from cse department we will have many assignments they give us a very good score

MY OWN EXPERIENCE IN NITC

college atomosphere is best part of this college
seniors juniors interaction in the campus is very healthy and cool
club events and fests in which we enjoyed and come out of all the stress

Dislikes

Maintaining 80% attendance is most disliking thing of every student
college timmings is also a burden as we need to go at 8am every morning

Placement Experience:

in our college placement drive starts from end of 6th semester and as we get a very huge companies comes for the drive which offes avg of 13lpa for explain AMAZON,GOOGLE,MICROSOFT,ORACLE etc..... higest package according to my knowledge is 1cr per year percentage of getting placed is 95% in our department my plans after this graduation is to complete my Masters in uk

Conversation with different state people
Tech fests and normal fests celebration are awesome

Dislikes

In between college a road is there which will cause irritation
Food here should get adjusted at start and lot of trees in college

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year students are eligible for placement.companies like hcl Google Microsoft come and offer the top ranked students highest is around 50 lakhsand minimum is around 5lakh.some branches have 100 percent placement and others have 90 percent.have to get placed with good package and get married

In the campus there will be a lot of trees I like it the most
I also like the infrastructure of the campus preferably amphitheater
I like my room in the hostel which has a great view

Dislikes

There will be a road in the campus named Rajpath it has too much of crow shit
I don’t like the bus facility in the campus there are only two buses which serve from boys hostel to the campus also they are fully crowded
I also don’t like the way to library initially it is good but now the way is closed and an alternate way is given

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to study CSE but for my rank in jee mains, I only got ECE in NIT Calicut. But here in NIT Calicut ECE is good and the faculty are too. All the faculty are Ph.D. graduates from NITs, IITs, and IISCs. Many faculty teach us in slides. And we have one mid and end exam and it is not much difficult to pass that exam.

hostels are very good and manintance is good
Library has very good amount of books which is good for students
Campus ha ccc which is very useful for students

Dislikes

Ground facilities are not that much good
Campus is very long from hostels for boys
In campus roads are not nice and they should be maintained

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and the faculty are nice. All the faculty are PhD graduates from the nits and iits and iiscs and the faculty are highly experienced the teaching method depends on the faculty. There will be one mid and end exam and internals which will be based on the decision of the faculty

Placements are quite often happening in campus. You will be eligible to placements from your 7th semester. Every year around 500 companies visits campus for placements and recruits pretty well from all branches . package and all depends on your branch . Around 90% students wil get placed every year

Hot weather, always oily type skin will formed
Rough driver's, bus driver drives like a hell.

Placement Experience:

1) from 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. 2) amazon, google, sony, deloitte, cognizent etc They came up with 10 to 15 offers. 3) highest package was from cs 50 lpa and lowest was 6 lpa from biotech 4) 84.4% of student placed in 2023 5) I will give CAT exam to get an MBA seat from there I will start my journey

Likes

I like the campus of the college. The curriculum is very good.
I like the opportunities given by the college.
I like the placement statistics of the college.

Dislikes

I don't like the hostel mess food because they offer only South Indian food
The library is very far from the lecture hall and the hostels
Girls are very less as compared to boys. The girls to boys ratio is very less

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good and interesting. The placement rate is very good as compared to other colleges. From third year onwards all are eligible to for internship and placement. The placement rate of CSE branch is around 98% and the placement rate of electrical and electronics engineering department is around 90% . The companies such as Samsung, Google, Qualcomm, Microsoft,etc. After getting the degree I will try for the good placement.

I like the campus of the this college very much
I like the way of teaching of the professor
I like the opportunities offered by the college

Dislikes

I don't like the mess food of the college
The distance between the hostel and the lecture hall is more.
The classrooms are not much developed and the mic system is worst.

Placement Experience:

From third year onwards the college will provide the internship facilities. The placement rate of CSE department is approx 98% and for ECE department is around 92%. The placement rate of productipn engineering department is 12 lpa and highest package offered is around 47 lpa. I will try to get it job after getting the degree. The companies visited are Samsung, Google, Microsoft,fitjee etc.

Academic Education is very nice.That's why
Placement rate is very high so that's why I decided
I like the Kerala very much here therebare very more places to visit

Campus is not developed. Infrastructure is very old
Food has also don't much variety. Food is not from all different places
Girls and boys ratio is very low. Here state policitics is involved

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
