Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Here from the 7th students will attend the interview which are held in the campus itself and there are so many big companies will approach this college as like Samsung Intel Amazon and so and so.and highest package of this university is 64lakh per year and avg package of my branch is 19 lakh and around 94percentage students will be placed

Expectation v/s reality

I like the campus of this college . This college has lush green campus.
I like the curriculum of this college. All type of facilities are their in this college.
I like the Placement statics of this college very much.

Dislikes

The food in this college is south indian .
Girls to boys ratio is very less in this college
The lecture hall is far away from the hostel

Placement Experience:

Placements of nit calicut are excellent. All companies are visiting for Placements like Google, Microsoft, Goldmedal sarks, Bajaj, samsung etc. The Placement rate of this college is around 98% for CSE department and for ECE the Placements percentage is approx 90% and for other branches it is good like more than 70%. After getting the job I will go for a best job. The highest package of this college is 47 lpa and average is 14lpa

Course directly started like the core subjects of the course which would make the course efficient for the learner instead of wasting time in the shit subjects, faculty members are like good teaching staff some of them way to dumb for teaching

I really liked the environment of competitive and broad minded people
I liked the cleanliness of the campus, rooms ad Hostels
One thing that You cannot miss is its placement opportunities

Dislikes

Sometimes hostel mess can be really bad especially during saturdays .
There are some professors who are over strict

Placement Experience:

Sudents will become eligible for placements starting from 4th year. However many students also get ppo(pre placement offers ) starting from 3rd year. Companies visited varies from year to year. some of them are Apple, Microsoft , Google,, Tata and Others such as PSU etc. More detailed information can be seen from nitc website(nitc.ac.in) Highest package offered is 67.5 lakh (CTC ) offered by Google and average is 12.58 lakh

MY LIFE IN NITC

Likes

The way they provide opportunities and privileges
Peaceful nature near the campus is so good and enthusiasts us everything
Placements are some what better than the iit Palakkad

Dislikes

Mess food quality is different for different mess and we face difficulty in raising issues
Ragging by seniors is too harsh but then also we could complain about this to anyone
Some of the faculty doesn't make us understanding the concept and they directly way us to do solve problems

Placements are not that good due to recession Mostly 60% students are placed every year but it also depends on branch Personally in my branch we have average package of 700000 every time very big companies visit Goldman Sachs amazon Google tata

The Campus life is really amazing amd the various events rpovide a great exposure.
You get friends from diverse cultures and thereby interacting with them is exciting.

Dislikes

Adapting to a new study environment amd curriculum seemed a bit challenging in the beginning

Placement Experience:

Students sits for placements in their fourth year of btech degree. The placements here are fairly good and high. Accenture, AMDOCS, American Express, Axis bank, Aakash Institute, Baxter, Bharath electronices etc. had comefor placements last year. The percentage of students getting placed is 84.7% for the UG programme.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choosen this course because u can appear for both software and hardware placements. For every 10 students there will be one teacher available here. All the teachers have completed their PHD ofc some of them have done their btech in many iits..It's completely a good college. Teachers can deliver and explain the topic well..The sem exams generally have a gap of 4 months and it will be very difficult to prepare and solve the semester papers here

The NIT CALICUT Things

Likes

The faculty support provided is really good.
The things to explore being in an NIT with all the genius minds.
The fests here are really good and helps us to open up and grow all together.

Placement Experience:

Our campus placemet is very good and decent in itself the average salary package for the CSE lst time was 22LPA . From the 5th semester you can go for the internships and later after 6th d=semester you can go for thr campus placement as well. Companies like Tata Motors,Google,amazon,MIcron,Qualcomm,HCL etc have visited our campus actually the number is more than 200 so can't lst them all here.

A review on NIT CALICUT

Likes

The atmosphere is good, infrastructure is good.
The festa are fun and enjoyable and entertaining.
We get to meet a lot of people of different backgrounds and experiences.

Dislikes

The class timings were sometimes very odd.
The food was bad at times and caused health problems
Some people though only a very few were unnecessarily rude

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internships and gradually placements from the 3rd semester onwards. A lot of great big companies recruit from here the highest package range from 55-75 lpa generally and an average of 30 lpa

i liked the varsity of the students, there are students from possibly all corners of india
i also like the versatality of the students they are ready for anything any idea
i like the greenery of the campus its really peacefull

i didnt like the teahcing system its really on a high level
i didnt like the sanitary system of the campsus
i didnt like the pda inside the campusyeah

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
