Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Review on campus and life in it

Likes

Practical labs and the faculty interaction.
The PhD scholars will be interacting in tutorial sessions
Campus is awesome and the fests are amazing

Dislikes

Buses will not be available all the time.
Mega ladies hostel should be renovated and fans should be repaired.
Wifi is not provided all the time and is not unlimited

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical and electronics engineering is practical subject which is used in our day to day life. The highly educated faculty will be teaching the subject in a very authentic way and the labs we do will be very helpful. There will be a mid exam and an end exam to complete the semester.

Likes

Fests are awesome. Digital library has central A.C.
Our classroom T.V is my favourite because that makes me more concentrated towards the subject.
Onam in NIT Calicut is an excellent one.

Dislikes

More buses from LH and MBH can be provided cuz students are facing much difficulty.
Hostel infrastructure is not as good as expected but they are renovating it now.
More improvement is needed for some department buildings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is a fascinating stream to enter. This is a completely unique stream.We can go to either research or software side through this stream. Faculty here are very talented. And we have a mid and an end exam in a semester

All about NITC

Likes

The placements are very good, promising a good career
The faculty was very nice having very good knowledge
The location of the college is good for a student

Dislikes

Can't get the required food of my native
The administration is becoming more strict and anti student
The messes offer same kind of food and we don't have a mess for Andhra

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students can participate in placements. last year the highest package was 65 lakhs and average was 12 lakhsand almost 90% students were placed and I want to go for a job after getting my degree

College life by bingo

Likes

Our campus is full of greenary, so many trees
Library, ccc and many other which make us study
Many sports activities, clubs and the events of clubs

Dislikes

So much freedom is what i don't like in our campus

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies will come for software, and competition is also more for software side. Very few companies are coming for core, it is difficult to get placed in core.

The picture of NITC

Likes

I liked the people over here, they are very much socialized and interractive and I have good friends here
I liked the comuter networking facilities, the connection is good and the security system is good
I liked the teaching style of faculty here

Dislikes

I didn't like the classrooms and the boards
I didn't like the domination of the homestate people
I didn't like the food here which is made of coconut oil

Placement Experience:

From semester 4 I'll be eligible for placements. Companies like American Express, Carl Zeiss etc. visited us and the offers are like 14L, 15L 18L etc.. the percentage of student placed depends on the department but the overall percentage is around 70. My plan is to get a job and no more study plans.

Likes

I like how sports and extracurriculars are encouraged here at NITC.Any student would find it easy to pursuit their passions.
You get to meet people from different parts of the country and make friens for life.
NITC has beautiful campus filled with lusg greenery.It's always refreshing to be on campus

Dislikes

The food in almost all mess is not to my likability.Despite many complaints there's no improvement
The adminstration is not very supportive to the student body when there are issues on cmapus
The campus doesnot have any resources to support mental health of students

Placement Experience:

NITC has a very good placement drive.Infact students all over the country strive to study here.A third year student is eligible for internships while final year is eligible for placements.ECE deparrment highest package is around 42 lpa while avg package is 16 lpa which in itslef is very high.Last 96% percent students got placed from ECED.

The college I live in

Likes

Sports like cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, football
Events like thatva,ragam,and every festival is celebrated very well
Library facilities and swimming pooland hanging out with different state people

Dislikes

Collage and hostel is too much far and walking that much distance makes upset
A road is there in between college which is some what irritating
More trees and high humidity here in college

Placement Experience:

From 6 sem students are eligible for placement there are lot of companies like Google , Microsoft,ola ,Uber,Oyo,etcand they will hire the top rated students.highest is 54 lakhs and minimum is 5 laks . percentage of getting placed is changed from branch to branch may around 90 to 100 percentage.get a good package and settle in life and get married

Likes

The campus is very beautiful and has good atmosphere..
The fests and cultural events are well managed. Even small events are very well managed.
The faculty are very good and takes care of every individual. They are very well trained.

Dislikes

The infrastructure should be taken more care.
Amenities in the hostels should be improved.
Transportation of students between the hostels and campus should be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electronics and communication offers future in both software and hardware sector. The faculty here are also very well trained and PhD scholars. The teaching methods are also effective. There is one mid term and one end term exams for each semester and the exams are little tough,but you can clear them very comfortably with good preparation.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
