Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Experiences of NITC

Likes

The campus life here is very new and exciting. We can meet so many new people all across the country which engages us to many people.
The fests conducted here are very good and enjoyable.
The faculty here are highly educated and friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Computer Sciences and Electrical are my top preferred courses in the Bachelors of Technology. I have submitted my preference as CSE followed by ECE in the counselling round. I was alloted a seat in ECE of NIT Calicut.

the campus has very beautiful environment which will give peace
the architecture of the college is very nice
there are many experinced faculties in the campus

Placements for the final year students is excellent
College life is the most satisfying one.
The area of location is also great for nit Calicut.

Dislikes

Water shortage problem is still there here.
Ragging is common for respective languages
Climate is unpredictable for us In college.

Placements in college is quite good enough compared to many nits. The average package is about 8 lpa for nit Calicut. When it comes to ECE branch. The avg package is about 12.5 lpa . Almost 200+ companies visit nit Calicut

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. NITC students secured placements in firms like D. E. Shaw, Salesforce, Google, Goldman Sachs, TI, Qualcomm, Oracle, Cisco, Atlassian, SAP Labs, Micron, Marvell, Samsung, Fastenal, L&T, IBM, TCS, Caterpillar, HCL, Bosch, Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors among a total of 188 companies who visited. The highest offer made this year is Rs. 47 Lakhs Per Annum and the average offer for Computer Science and Engineering students has increased to Rs. 22.03 Lakhs from Rs. 20.54 Lakhs last year. Average offer to ECE students has seen an increase to Rs. 19.29 Lakhs from Rs. 15.34 Lakhs at the same time last year. The overall average this year has risen to Rs. 14.29 Lakhs from Rs. 12.91 Lakhs at the same time last year.84.76% of students got placed. My plans after getting degree is to do job and prepare for higher studies

Student Life in NIT CALICUT

Likes

Here the climate and structure of campus was good.
I like library and computer centre in this college.
I like the faculty because they are experienced and talented.

Dislikes

Here they are charging little bit high fee. They have to think about this issue.
Some buildings are old they have to renovate.
The distance from hostels to classes are little bit far. Although busses are available.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semister you are eligible for internships. And from 7th semister you are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Wipro, Paytm, and tech Mahindra are coming to take interview. Maximum 90 percentage of students will get placement.

My experience in NITC

Likes

Here the climate is very good and peaceful.
All the facilities are good like library, computer centre, and playgrounds.
Here all the people from different states are available so we can learn their culture and different things to live in life

Dislikes

Here the distance from hostel to classes are little bit far. sometimes we are late to classes.
During the summer season water shortage will be there.
Here that are charging little bit more money I think they should think about this.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semister students are eligible for internship. And from 7th semister they eligible for campus placements. Here In this college highest package is 60lpa. Companies like Mahindra, Microsoft, Wipro, paytm, Dell and tata..etc 90 percent students will be placed.

My life in NITC

Likes

The placement statistics is good for this college.
There are more cultural activites and fests
The availability of books and resources in library and other useful websites with college mail

Dislikes

The mess food is not that good and not as expected
The college is way far from the Kozhikode city
The mega hostel for boys is outside the campus and to get out of the hostel we need to climb a hill.

Placement Experience:

At the present situation, there is a recession going on due to which the availability of placements is slightly reduced. The students from 7th semester will become eligible for placement interview. On an average 95 percent of students got placed. In CSE, 100 percent of students got placed.

Well furnished class and labs , greenary in campus
Top class placements and FAANG visiting campus for internship and placement
Talented peer group ,Biggest cultural fest and technical fest

Dislikes

If go outside the campus there you will see many people communicating in malyalam
If you go outside the campus to explore things it will be bit of expensive .
You will face sort of difficulty to get north Indian food

Nit Calicut has well noted placement, average placement of 19 lakhs . During end of your second semester there will be on campus internship. You can see FAANG visiting Nit Calicut. During seventh semester there will be on campus placement drive . There will around 1200 placement opportunities provided by companies every year Average package : 19 lakhs Placement percentage : 98 %

MY JOURNEY IN NITC

Likes

Campus gym as we can get all the equipments and trainer we can need
Cultural events and technical fests like ragam and tathva

Dislikes

Food and hostels are not so good I am not much satisfied

As of now I have heard the more students are not getting the placements but we are trying to get into something by our teachers or faculties help . The placements will be guaranteed it was almost 98 Percentage can get placements so the placements will be good and all will be satisfied with that

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
