Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

NITC Review

Likes

Campus atmosphere and the greenery of the campus.
Free transport service like institute bus.
Affordable and good canteen food.Nice staff

Dislikes

Unusual class timings (for example:class after 5 pm)
One branch is divided into four batches. Hence, Class capacity is very low.
Eighty percentage attendance is mandatory.

Placement Experience:

197 companies visited and about 1200 students got offers. The highest package of this year was 47 lpa and average was 14 lpa. About 90-95 percent students got placement offers. I would like to enter into the structural engineering field after completing my course.

i liked its my college atmosphere . everywhere there is greenery
i like its culture and its way to handle
i liked my faculty they are very helpful

Dislikes

here we are missing our lovely winter season
due to greenery there are crows and i hate their shit
i have to face some language problem because i am from north and i dont know south knowledge .

Placement Experience:

placcement of my college is appereciable. student from third year started getting placedand obviously 4th year student also . companies like microsft. oracle, google .amazon,OIL, ORACLEvisit my college. HIGHEST PACKAGE GOEST UP TO 60LPA and avearage package goes upto 20lpa. in every depatment of our college about 95+ percentage student got placed. student who dont get placed try for off campus placement.

NITC is worth it

Likes

Academics are good and the faculty is nice. Good classrooms and lab facilities.
Great social life. Lots of fests and cultural programs.
The campus is so scenic. Lots of spots to just relax.

Dislikes

Crows. There are a lot of crows and they shit on you a lot
It rains a lot, like a lot. Prepare to get drenched without an umbrella
Classes can be quite hectic and very packed.

NITC has good placements. The percentage of students getting placed are high. The average is around 15lpa and the highest was 48lpa. The placement statistics are good. NITC students are recruited by top companies.

Campus life is extremely very good in nitc
Study atmosphere also good. Good students and faculties
There is a central library and computer center We can access 24 into 7

Dislikes

College schedule are very rush. 4 month for one semester

Placement Experience:

Students eligible for campus placement 6th semester. Highest packages 65 lakh And average package is six lakh my plan after getting my degree is job. 98% placement rate in nit Calicut. We get 7 CGPA we get 99% placement

Nitc a different experience

Likes

First the infrastructures and the campus are very beautiful.
Campus life at nit calicut is 'awesome'.
Various clubs and other activities are pretty good nit calicut

Dislikes

Food at the hostel mess is bad i my opinion
Institution is situated out of the city. You should travel oe hour to reach calicut city.
Some decisions of collage management are a bit unwanted.

Placement Experience:

Placement are very high nit calicut. From the third year of b.tech you will be eligible for Placements. Lot of multi national companies visit the campus during the Placement time. Google, Microsoft, Tata,oracle are frw of them. Highest package offerd last year was about sixty six lakhs. I plan to get gob at isro after getting this degree

Likes

Cleanliness is maintained every where which was the best part i see.
Faculty is also good and helps you in studies.
Placements are also good.A good average package is maintained.

Dislikes

Food for north indians is not good and lacks in vitamins minerals and protien..

Placement Experience:

From third year people can apply for college internship. Placements of college are good. Comapies like google microsoft orale comes for college placements. 95 percent people geta placed. Highest package is 70lpa. Average package is 14.5 lpa.

NIT calicut- all you need to know in the first year

I like the campus placements . The college provides a very good effort in providing good packages to the students
I like the environment of the campus . Its so natural the college has always tried to maintain the greenary of the campus and is successfull in it.
I also like the social cultural and technical clubs in the nit calicut

Dislikes

I dont like the hostel infrastructure and toilet facilities in the hostel.
Hostel policies rules curfew i dont like those things the hostel rules has to be changed
I am not that satisfied with the infrastructure of the college

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year students may get placements from varous companies .NIT Calicut Placements 2023 has recorded more than 1000 placements. NIT Calicut highest package stood at INR 47 LPA whereas NIT Calicut average package stood at INR 14.29 LPA. The average package stood at INR 22.03 LPA for the Computer Science Engineer & INR 19.29 LPA for the Electronics & Communication Engineering. The summer placement drive for the 2022 graduating batch was conducted recently, with 186 internships offered to the students. NIT Calicut is one of the best engineering colleges in India. The placements percentage in cse department in 100percent which is really good and the avarage is 22 lpa

Likes

I like the environment which is present arond us.
I liked the college itself because of its food.
This is what i liked about the. And there are many other things which i liked about the college.

Dislikes

I disliked the thing about the college is that it is 2500 km far away from my home town.
I strongly disliked the college students which are too selfish.
I strongly dislike the tamil guys which.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had choosen this course because this the best which I am getting through jossa counselling. Faculties are very supportive in national institute of technology calicut. The ratio of Student and teacher is also fine.

The campus placements has been pretty good lately, with highest package going as high as 85LPA for EEE Students. The placement rate as well being high My plans after getting the degree is to do MBA as it gives a good direction to me

Why you should choose NIT Calicut

Likes

Nice clubs: There are various clubs such dance, drama, music, coding and many more
Exotic surruounding: Campus is very nice and there are lots of places to visit in the campus itself
High teaching : Teaching methodology is very efficient

Dislikes

Lack of girls: Number of girls is very less.
Walking distance: You'll have to walk very long distances.
Raining: It rains here almost 6 months. Its very annoying to face it almost every day

Placement Experience:

Almost 90% stuedents are placed. Almost 130 companies visited last year and made almost 998 offers. Highest package offered was 52 lpa and lowest was 6lpa. I'm looking up for placements from this college.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
