Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Only positive remarks about my college, my college is providing great space for each students. The administrators are really helping minded. College is providing peacefull calm atmosphere everytime. There are a lot of trees and all for mind freshness.

Remarks:

Everything can't be positive and everything can't be negative either, all I can say is it's a mixture of both fun and frustrations. Some times mess food doesn't feel good, it's far from city so even swiggy, zomato not available.

Positives:- 1) absolute academics date. No delay for examinations and results. 2)very good environment of campus. Negatives:- 1)hectic syllabus. More portions in lesser time 2)Management decision is final which sometimes make unfairness to student.

College Review

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE.

One of the best college to gain knowledge and skills

Remarks:

The college is situated apprx 25km from the city. Eventhough buses are available,the time required to reach college from city centre is about 45minutes. The positive remark is that college also have a health centre with doctors and nurses.

Postive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the proffessors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes ae very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

Remarks:

Campus life is wonderful. It is a picturesque campus with lot of greenery and fresh air. The gender ratio is around 4:1 for boys to girls. Opportunities for extra curricular activities are provided by clubs are sports teams. Clubs like Literary and Debating Club, Industrial and Planning Forum, etc has good programmes and conduct events. Basketball, Cricket, Football, etc. go for Inter NIT competitions and has many wins.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
