First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

for placements they are eligibe in 7 semester or in 4th year various company like trident reliance nttm (atira nitra bitra sitra etc) vardhman minimum cgpa is 7.5 howerver depend upon company to company get place in company

The campus is clean and green with all the basic amenities
Faculty is cooperative and highly qualified which is good
The overall experience is great and everything is provided at genuine

Dislikes

Campus is not large enough to accommodate more gatherings
The campus is located at outskirts of the city
Bus services are limited and on fixed on timings which cannot be accessed by all

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college , as seen are better than the other colleges around here in the locality because of the prestige of the national institutes as old as this . The percentage of students fetching a placement is above 50 percent which is quite decent

Likes

The faculty here is quite supportive and is very regular.
The sports facility is quite good .The grounds are very maintained .
The connectivity of the network is quite good but the range for normal network is very poor .

Dislikes

Their is not any good canteen.The quality and the taste of the food in canteen is very bad.
The curriculum for the students is quite busy.
Far away from the city .So students have difficulty in transport facility.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placement in 8th sem and for internship in 4-5 sem .As I'm in Mechanical engineering and this year ME has 100% placement with the average package of 8 Lakh .The highest package for ME is 18.5 lakh.

I liked friends that I made here who helped in various ways during my hostel stay
Campus facilities is good and gymnasium and GYM are best here.
Clubs and societies are a good things from which. Students can develop their skills and improve in various aspects of life

Dislikes

Mess food have resulted in illness of various students
The way of teaching is not up to the mark
Strictness of 75% attendance is not acceptable

From 6th semester students become eligible for the campus placement Companies like Amazon Microsoft Wipro Flipkart Paytm Byjus etc come here in . Heightst package was 1.2 cr per annum from ECE branch in 2022 passout batch. 90% students get placed My plan after degree Is to appear for gate exam and do M tech from IIT. And average is around 8-9 lapa

An overview about my college-NIT JALANDHAR

Likes

I loved the clubs and interactive activities
I loved the greenery it freshens you up.
I loved the environment it is optimum for studies

Dislikes

I hated the internet facilities the wifi is not up to the mark
I hate the attitude of professors and you'll always feel alone despite so many students around you
I hate the highly competitive environment it's like bots roaming everywhere

Course Curriculum Overview:

I don't like the course at all it's just a waste of time but thankfully companies are visiting for non core roles too like analyst and sde domain so that's a relief.professors are not professors but piranhas ready to bite and in terms of knowledge nobody knows anything

Is NIT JALANDHAR Worth it?

Likes

Canteens are good,clean and are in various parts of college.
Classes are air conditioned,clean and large.
Large campus to roam.Gyms available for excercises.

Dislikes

Sometimes restrictions get a little frustrating
Early morning class timings can be also little frustrating
Minimum 75% attendance is very much difficult to handle and is troublesome.

Placements are good considering there are layoffs. Various companies visit the college like amazon,etc. Highest packages would be 40-50 lakhs and average being that of nearly 10+lakhs. For this year nearly 65% students are placed till now

Placement Experience:

The placemets of the campus are also good. According to the recneg data, For our depart there is good placmets as well as internship opportunity to the students. About 50 present if the student got placed in core as well as in tech from the total eligible candidates. And rest of them choose higher studies as per their interst.

NIT Jalandhar- Pros and Cons

Likes

The weather and vibe and greenery. Its near to my hometown
My friends and colleagues from school are here so they make me feel like home
The placement opportunities and the respect level

Dislikes

Strictness like i mentioned earlier we are not allowed to sit in dark areas and we have to be inside our shitty hostels before 10 pm
Hostel quality and worse canteens also the number of canteens
Building infrastructure. Some classes dont even have AC

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since i am currently in first year and i always had the dream to code something big since the 9th standard. i had developed many bots for instagram and whatsapp which made me crave to be a computer science engineer and hence i opted for this course Till now the curriculum has taught me 2 programming languages along with 2 core subjects. The core subjects have helped me to understand the basic root of how computers work to the best level. It fascinates me that i have learnt the subejct of digital circuits and logic design According to me the curriculum should remove the useless subjects like Workshop Engineering, Engineering drawing, environmental studies, management principles etc also the 75% attendance criteria should also be removed lol the exams are conducted twice per semester and i feel it very genuine

Well there is lots of things which are good in NIT Jalandhar
When you come in second year, one of the awesome faculty(Yes awesome ) allows you to carry one book into that particular subject exam . Again in Last Semester

Placement Experience:

In the college placement are coming in 7th semester on words starting placement. In placement they are no of companies are give opportunity. In 5th and 6th semester some internship are provided college. The students are minimum 6.5CGPA are eligible for compus placement.In compus highest package are 75,00,000 and average package is 15,00,000.

The campus at placement is good. Almost all the students get placed from most of the branches. The branches such as CSE,IT.and ECE have 100% placement records Some famous companies which visit our campus are Microsoft, Amazon, oracle, Salesforce etc. But however the placement for the current batch is suffering due to the recession

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
