First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Dark reality of NITJ

Likes

Some of the teachers except few are pretty supportive, sports is encouraged facilities are given , opportunities are provided to each and every student
Zero ragging exist in the campus which is one of thing which only exist in nitj I guess, senior here are pretty supportive,gym is provided, course curriculum is modified to level the students to the new market , students can explore whatever theywant
u will be given special classes for the things

Dislikes

Mess is pretty average,hostel are mid level
Even the teachers are good but still some exceptions exist
Some teachers don't even care for students emotions

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this course because I wasn't getting CSE in top nits, IT is on par with CSE and nitj is among one of the top 10 nits in india Faculty student ratio is average as our department IT don't have permanent faculties But the faculties taking classes are top notch level in their own field few exceptions exist Exams are rigorous over here as it is continuous evaluation u will have quizzes viva midsem and endem

Things to know about NIT Jalandhar

Likes

First thing I like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Second thing I like is there is no ragging like no ragging at all.
Our director Dr BK Kanojia puts a lot of efforts for growth of departments.

Dislikes

In hostels everything is good but if something get s faulty hostel staff take a lot of time to repair or to change.
In hostels we are not allowed to go after 7:30 in our first master.
It is very difficult to reach the campus if you a new here in Jalandhar.

Placement Experience:

According to me, I think placement starts from the 7th sem in the 4th year. Tata Wipro Microsoft Google search companies also visit the campus. The maximum packet for the IC branch till now is I think 44 and I'm minimum is around 5 lakhs average packages are around 11 lakhs and the median is also good at 9 to 10 lakh and about 80% of students get placed from my branch and for CSE and IT placement are you like up to 95%.

NIT Jalandhar in one shot

Likes

Campus with all around the greenery present there
Snackers is the best canteen in our college it is opened for all the 24 hours in a day

Dislikes

The Food qualities is not so good in mess

Placement Experience:

To achieve the seven CG at 7 semester for the eligible for campus placement. Many companies gives the placements such as Google Samsung Amazon etc. Only 90% students are placed on campus placement. I will start my own startup after the getting degree.

Pros and cons of NITJ

Likes

I liked the placement record of our college
Faculty are very good they help us to get a job
Obviously there are a lot of good clubs and have made a lot of friends here

Dislikes

Sometimes environment is not that good as expected
Mess quality food outlet are very less shops like mobile repair
Unhygienic mess sometimes hostels too and some canteens

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible to get placed, there are a lot of companies visiting our college, some big companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm, etc. and they made a lot of offers the highest package, recently is around 60 lakh, and the average is around 10-12 lakh, almost 90 percent of students are getting placed after degree, I just plan to get a decent job.

NIT A DREAM CAME TRUE

Likes

Like there no sense of ragging which great for healthy college life
The sports and facilities around sports are great
The seniors are very great and helpful here

Dislikes

Transportation:- like you cannot find any sign of signal or any bus stop near the college
It is very outside the city which causes many issues of time and money as student
Particularly there is no swimming pool in the campus which hurts

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because this branch offers highest paying job in my college right now. The faculty:student ratio is greater here.Qualification of the faculty & review teaching method are great here.exams are great here easy to pass

Likes

i like the campus environment how they suppoted at each and every time and the weather of jalandhar is good.
the seniors are very supportive and i found my batchmates are very good in nature.
i am able to explore each and every activity in different clubs.

Dislikes

main problem is hostel accomodation in first year
75% attendance is mandatory and have to attend the classes.
lots of assignment ehich keeps busy whole day.

From 7 th semester you can apply for placements in my college ther almost 218 companies visited last year mainly each one of the big companies reached here like FAANG and many others almost 800-850 placements offered were there the highest package was 64 lakh and the average package was 11 lakh About 93% students were placed My plans after getting the degree is to grab highest placements from college and complete all wishes of my parents.

Placement Experience:

Placement is one of the good things to look at in NIT Jalandhar, the nit tag doesn't just help in the campus but also outside campus. Great companies come to the college for the placement drive. Highest salary was of about 1.25 cr to a guy from ECE branch.

NIT JALANDHAR :- At a glance

Likes

i like college infrastructure and greenery of my college.
i like cute girls of my college and main building is too good.
i like AC availability in classes and canteen food.

Dislikes

there is too much warm in punjab and personally i dont like it.
i don't like my college's campus area it is too small.
i dont like faculty of my college they are like too rude to us.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good. From 4th year students are eligible for placements but there must be an internship done in the past to get eligible.in IPE there was 100% placement in the previous year. My plan is to get placed in a well-decorated software company.

I have keen interest in industrial and production engineering since childhood There are more than 17 faculty Most of the teachers have PhD from IIT and nit Term exams are difficult relative to other branches they can vary depending on the teacher to the teacher.

A honest review by a SOUTH INDIAN

Likes

I liked the fact that there is a wide distribution of culture.
Campus has good infrastructure according to me.
Classrooms are air-conditioned and are best in condition.

Dislikes

Rules and regulations are pretty much stricter than that of other NITs.
The nepotic nature in the campus makes me very sick.
It takes minimum of 40min to get into city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically I didn't choose this course, I got this course and i had to opt it out of no choice. Faculties are extremely nepotic and do not give any kind of importance to the people of South India. Some of the faculties are extremely talented but some doesn't even know what is there in their ppt. Every semester includes 2 examinations. Firstly Mid-sem examination and then End-sem examination.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
