FFCS. A study who is facing difficulty to study more, can take less number of credits and it will reduce the burden of the students. And the student can also Complete the entire course in 4 years instead of 5years by taking maximum no of credits. ~ Supriya R Patil, B.Sc + M.Sc

Categorized admission system with a very crowded campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
the course curriculum at vellore institute of technology is generally regarded as relevant industry loved and moderately copmprehensive. Industry oriented courses , flexible credit system, multidisciplinary apporach.
Things I like most about my college is that many events are being conducted here by different clubs which helps freshers or newbies get the required exposure and there are a lot of places to spend time with your friends, the teachers are helpful
Friends can be easily made here as you will meet a lot students here form diffrent parts of India . Diversity is quite good here
Even for north Indians it's not at all difficult to make friends and communicate as many children come from north side here even the staff at the hostel are comfortable in both hindi and english people are quite cooperative. Time passes here so quily
Dislikes
The inn timmings for hostel are quite early as you have to enter the hostel before 9 if you are a boy and if a girl then it's 8 so thats a problem as you can't roam anywhere you want after 9
Some faculties are too inclined towards south indian students . If there will be a fight between northie and south guy they will definitely try and save the south guy . But this kind of thinking is not in every teacher but yes it exit here
The worst thing is that you can't go outside campus for 1 semester and after sometime it will feel like a jail which you want to escape and freshers always wait for diwali as it first time they escape jail in 3 months
Placement Experience:
The campus placements are quite good if you compare with other pvt colleges . Student get eligible for campus placements from 6 th semester and a lot of companies vist every year with good amount of offers including dream super dream offers. The highest package so far was 1.02 cr and average is 20 lakhs per annum. As there is recessions going in the market so percentage of students being placed as dipping a bit . Like it's 89% in 2024 last year it was 91%. So yes it depends upon the market conditions at the time.the main goal after getting the degree would be to get a good job or go for higher studies then like mtech or MBA still figuring it out but first aim will be to take the placement
Campus environment the way they maintain and its very disciplined... The faculty is available all time for doubts and they are very negotiable and friendly
The culturals and events they conduct is simply awesome since they are very distractive amd relaxing from our hectic academis
No ragging system.. ragging is strictly prohibited and there is student care unit in our university
Dislikes
There is nothing like i could dislike because my college is perfect only..
The thing I don't like is ffcs is slight difficult and re registration system is quite difficult
Re registration fee is for 6000 rupees which everyone finds very difficult to do if got... Less marks
Course Curriculum Overview:
Biotechnology has high scope in research field and this course has high opportunities in abroad countries like sweden Switzerland canada and Germany there are 6 subjects for me and the thing is i have to choose the faculty and course
The fact that I got my hostel near my academic block
Effort of the faculties to bring you out of your shell
Dislikes
The food and the cost of the food that you can buy from the shops
The rule which doesn't allow the freshers to go out of the campus for 3 months or so
The students over reacting for a issue which is really nothing
Course Curriculum Overview:
I specially chose this course (chemical engineering)coz I like chemistry from school days. And also the fact that scope for chemical engineering is always considered EVERGREEN. Considering the curriculum for now we are learning nothing more than what we learnt in class 12 Maybe from the upcoming years we learn more . Difficulty of the exams are not too much but just manageable
The campus is very vast and there is no shortage of any supplies inside the campus.
There are a lot of different types of dishes available to buy inside which promotes diversity as the dishes are from all over India.
The scenery and views from hostels are very beautiful and the hostel commodities themselves are very good.
Dislikes
The mess food is a little on the bad side but sufficient food is provided.
The inhouse cooking rules are very bad as you cannot cook food inside your room.
The crowd in vit is very high and it is like a city in its own
Placement Experience:
The placements are average and the highset package is 1cpa+. From 7th semester students become eligible for placements and there are different internship oppurtunities available from 4th semester. The average package is around 9lpa and there is around 99% placement. After getting the degree there are many opputunities available in the industry we can go for.
Research and extra curricular activities are very well supported
The campus is well maintained and has a good infrastructure
The teachers are knowledgeable and approachable
Dislikes
One reviewer said that this college was Irresponsibile in certain things
One reviewer said that the college had 100% placement record but didn't turn up for interviews
Poor maintenance and operation of vit can reverse the results
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible for placements is after completing the program which is a two year course.
The program includes of 12 weeks summer industry internship at the end of the first year.
Vit MBA highest and average packages stood at INR 15 LPA and INR 9.68 LPA
Faculties are really good and help in solving doubts
FFCS in used in our college for the personalised time table
Placements are really good for CSE students
Dislikes
College is situated around 70 far from city
There is so much crowd in the campus due to heavy student intake
Extra activities are not up to the mark compare to other college
Placement Experience:
College is very placement oriented and train students in 4 th year just for the placement. I have no idea about the company which haven't made any offer after coming . Highest package was around 1 cr and average package is around 7 lakhs
I liked mostly girls in the college thier tradition
Dislikes
I disliked about cleaningness of college
I disliked the arrear amount of 6000 for each sub
I disliked college timings from 9-6pm over time
Placement Experience:
For the 6 th semester students are eligible for intership and after that they are eligible for placements name of the companies are TCS, AMAZON, MICROSOFT AND OTHERS highest is 64LPA AND 50 percentage are placed last year
The arrear system, cuz we have to attend classes again from the beginning and write internals, assignments, finals all over again, by paying a fee of ₹6000
Timing restrictions for girls, we can only go out for 2hr on weekdays, and 4 on weekends, and if you extend the timing, they’ll cancel your outing for minimum 1 week to more than a month, but this isn’t the case for boys, they don’t have restriction
Leave approval for going home is insane, they won’t let you go home or anywhere else even when parents approve, again this is only for girls. Also there are many exit gates in the campus, but girls can only use the main gate, whereas boys can use any

Course Curriculum Overview:
VIT vellore is best for biotechnology, however it should be more lab oriented. We are forced to learn CS subjects if we want placements. It could use better curriculum. There aren't any industrial visits
Campus Life in Vit is simply magnificent. All types of facilities are provided inside the campus including sport complex and restaurants. The girls to boys ratio in Mechanical engineering is surprisinly high of about 1:7.
The staff at VIT is cooperative and helping in daily doubts. The labs are well maintained with latest technologies and versions.VIT also provides student license to important softwares which are quite costly
Hostel Life is great at VIT.The crowd here is well mannered, friendly and well educated which helps in increasing moral values.
Dislikes
Freshers at VIT are restricted from going out of campus for the first sem.
Student count at VIT is more than expected which results in unnecessary competition in every sector.
The first year students at VIT are not allowed to take part in the events, clubs and chapters since the beginning and have to wait for the first sem to get over. This restricts us from achieving our goal and turns out to be a setback for some months.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum here is Industrial pattern consisting of practical base knowledge and less of theoretical knowledge which helps us in applications things rather than just learning the theory.Improvements in course are quite minimal and most of it is upto date. The method of teaching is quite systematic in every aspect. The difficulty level is quite moderate to difficult along with the duration of exams and frequency of exams. We are able to enjoy the events and fests along with the ongoing exams.
