Placement Experience:
After fifth semester students are eligible for on-campus placement for internship.various companies like Google, Microsoft,stripe,etc visited with good packages.proper placements happen after 7th semester.highest package goes upto 2 crores .I also planned to take a job in high paying company.

- there are soo many clubs to explore in which club you have interest.
- we have freedom we can do what we wanted we can go outside the collage at 2am also.

- Every months exams and prof just give lecture and go.
- Every month exams quiz assignment etc
Placement Experience:
i can say it is iitk so placement is good according to other collages. But also that is not sufficient we give our ass, childhood to get into iit. Like average is around 22lakh but it increases because of some high pakages, so....

- I like the senior here they are very supportive and good and provide full support during time of distress

- The academic curriculum here is very tough as compared to other colleges
- The labs here are very hectic and lenghty
- The hostel has less facilities for tackling winters
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this cource because I was interseted in chemistry and had inclination towards chemical engineering, the faculty is supporting and very good however few of the members are strict.
Most of the facult members have thier PHDs from reputed foreign colleges.

- The professors sometimes dont explain things very clearly
- The weather is pretty bad sometimes. It gets really cold in the winters
- Joining cultural clubs requires prerequisites

IIT Kanpur is renowned for its placements. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook come to IIT Kanpur to recruit the top minds of this country. You are able to take part in campus placements from the 7th semester onwards.

- Social life, having fun with friends and roaming in this huge campus
- Opportunities to learn from many smart people and improving our skills

- Sometimes mess food is so bad that is unavle to eat
- Infrastructure is less good than other iits so it
- Also placement are also less than other iits
Placement Experience:
Placement season at December. Many got but not all. The highest placement this year was 1.7cr. I am from civil engineering and its average package is about 18lacs also campus provides intternship opportunities also.

- Infrastructure and the opportunities IITK provides are incredible. You can explore almost all the hot domains in todays world

- Academic pressure is much more here at IITK as compared to other IITs.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this course as it was the best fit as per my choice filling in Josaa counseling and my rank. Although i don't regret my fate. The faculty to student ratio in our Department is around 1:10.
The teachers here at IITK are highly qualified and passionate individuals with sheer interests and immense knowledge in their respective fields. Teachers in my Department too hold the same attributes. Their way of teaching is marvellous. They make you fall in love with the subject and light up the curiosity within you to divedeep into the field and explore more. Generally we have Mid-semester examinations and End-semester examinations every semester and some quizzes too. Mid-sems starts after 1.5 month of the semester beginning and End-sems are after the other 1.5 month portion. The faculties conduct quizzes on the basis of the convenience of both students and theselves. The core subjects are moderate, neither too difficult nor too easy. But still you need hardwork to get through the exams.

the placements are very good the placement season is conductes in 2 phases. the companies that come to the campus during the placement season are google microsoft samsung quadeye and other renouned companies

- It's academic load during exams and tough academic course
- Single library for all students may create more difficulty to get some seat during exams
- In some areas during night time there are lack of lights
Placement Experience:
IIT KANPUR stands 4th rank among all the engineering colleges in India by NIRF ranking. From 7th semester onwards students becomes eligible for placements . All 1st class company visit our college including Google, Facebook, Ai and all other IT companies. in Last year arround 958 students get placement offers.Our Highest package is arround 2 Cr. Per annum and minimum package of 18 lakhs . Our college have good percentage of placed students of 90% . My future plans are to get into an it software company.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this course because I was interested in engineering and so wanted to pursue my B.tech degree after 12 board. Here all faculty members are quite educated and qualified. Exams are held in two weeks time and it requires hardwork to pass these exams

- Also there is no dress code of college. I generally wake up and go to classes even without bath.
- The timetable of iit kanpur is too good. I don't need to attent all classes continuously one after other.
Dislikes
- I don't like the hostel facilities provided here . Actually there are no washing machines which is in good condition to wash clothes.
- Since I am free to do anything here. I mostly waste my time and not study and then I feel guilty.
Placement Experience:
From the third year starting students become eligible for placements and intern. Large companies like Google , Microsoft ,Jane Street Zomato and many more big companies visit the campus every year . Approximately all students get placed. About 90 percent students get placed. In 2022 the highest domestic package offered was 4 crore rupees approx. I want to become a quant analyst.

The Earth Sciences is a Department imparting education related to the study of Earth and its geological reliefs. The best part about this Department is that every course here overlaps with some or the other course of other departments making it a multifaceted one.
Earth Sciences curriculum overlaps with many courses in Material Science and Physics, Civil and Chemical, and even Electrical and CSE. This provides diversity in the overall learning experience of the course making it very interesting.
The only major issue is that due to common courses, the curriculum is vague and has no well-defined structure and content. We hope that this flaw is taken care of in the near future.
The program provides versatile job prospects even in the field of Satellite Remote Sensing, weather prediction, and geothermal power plants.

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?

Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.
Some points that favor my preference are as follows:
- The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
- The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
- Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.
Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
