IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung elc visit the campus every year. Almost 80-85 percent students get placed every year. My plans after getting the degree is to live a normal life with my job.

Placements are good. Top companies like Apple, Microsoft and Google do offer placements and PPOs to students. Students are eligible for placements in their final year. Highest offers go up to as high as Rs. 2 Cr or 4 Cr. About 750+ offers including PPOs were made during first few days of the start of the placement season this year in IIT Kharagpur. Overall placement percentage as been above 85%. Profiles of placements vary, including a good mix of both core companies and tech companies. I intend to pursue MS in Economics or MBA, depending on future interests.

In 7th semester placement are offered.more than 100 companies visit with more than 1200 offers almost every year. Highest this year was 1.68 cr and average was 20 lpa. Percentage of student placed is 80. My plan is to get a suitable job.

From 3rd years students apply for internship and in 4th year students get placed in companies with good package. Companies like Amazon Flipkart JP Morgan Google Microsoft visits our campus for placement. Number off offers made are nearly 200+ . Highest package of IIT Kharagpur is 2.6 crore. Average package of IIT Kharagpur is 18 lakh per annum. Nearly 80% students get placed in companies every year.

Students become eligile for placements in their final year. That is the second to last semister. The placements of our college is pretty good. This year stats are out. According to Awaaz IIT Kgp, 1353 offers were given to 1277 students with the highest on campus placement being a whopping 1.69cr/yr package. There are no details of the overall average package, but details are out for branch wise packages. For Economics, the highest package was 50.7 lakhs/year with the average being 20.6 lakhs/year and median being 17.4 lakhs/year. I currntly have no future plans but I want to stay in India and work for my country.

Campus placements are availed by students in 8th semester. Students of 6th Semester sit for internship during the placement drive too. This year 1353 jobs were offered to 1277 students . Highest was 1.7 crores excluding PPOs.

After 6th semester for B.Tech and 8th semester for Dual degree ,students become eligible for campus placement. Compaines like Google,Apple,Microsoft,IBM,Aditya Birla,etc.About 1600 offers IIT KGP got in 2023. Highest package is 2.68 crore per year and average is 22.13LPA. Placement percentage is about 90%. I want to do job after getting degree.

For campus internship you will be eligible from fifth semester and for placement you will be eligible from seventh semester. Placement are good , iits are know for their placement only. Talking about package highest may be around 1-3 crore depending upon the year of placement less during current session due to estimation of recession. Average package may vary from 15 -20 lpa.
