Likes

Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college

Dislikes

The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

A Journey Through HIT,Haldia

Likes

The college campus is huge including one main administrative block and one main library.
Zero ragging around the whole campus, seniors are very friendly.
The whole area is very clean. The college also offers 100% placements for all students.

Dislikes

The course fees for economically weak students must be reduced a little more.
There should more hostels for students near to the campus .
Availaibility of good food is a very big problem here.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year of your carrier life around after the second semester students are made eligible for campus placements. The companies that very often visits our college for campasing are Coognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Amazon, Google and many more companies. Around majority of students like 75% of students are getting their placements from HIT. My plans after getting the degree are that first I will proceed for an MBA course and then thinking to start my own IT company

A minute for the HIT

Likes

Senior and junior relationship inside college or outside
Fests and clubs are so much active and they provide multiple opportunities
The teachers and the mentors are so much supportive.

Dislikes

A little bit ragging is something which is considerable.

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. There are so many companies who visits our college and provide multiple opportunities for our college students. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, HALDIA PETROCHEMICALS and many more visits our college.

In haldia institute of technology , it provides a decent placement stracture, college invites a good number of companies in campus which hire you according to your capabilities, the average placement of this college in 2023 is around 5 - 6 LPA but candidate also got placement like 10 LPA .

Essence Of HIT form new Flower

College Campus is very large and spacious.
The faculty member of our collage is very good and supportive .
Our collage organises very well fests in every year .

Dislikes

Behaviour of seniors done on juniors students.
Some rudes teacher was there who does not supportstudents who is poor in studies
Locality of collage is not good because it is far away form the main city

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 5th onwards. Companies like Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Haldia Petro Chemicals. All of them offered placements to a total of 150 students. The Highest package offered by the companies here is 10-12LPA. However, the average package of our college is 5LPA. About 70% of all the students get placed from our college. I plan on getting a good placement first. After getting some work experiance, I want to go for higher studies.

I like campus of this college and weather too.
I like faculties and our college because they are very supportive .

Dislikes

There is a min attendance criteria of 75 percent
There is a college uniform system. So we are not free to wear anything that we want.

Campus placement is average here . You will get 5.7 lpa ctc in branches like Cs and it . As There is a best placement of chemical engineering branch here of 9lpa . Mainly mass recruiters come in this college like TCS, Wipro, cognizant etc. 91% of the students get placed every year in this college.

I loved the sports culture of our college.
Infrastructure lf our college is decent looking.
Almost all the faculty is decent with some exception

Dislikes

Holidays are very indecisive and unsure .
Mild ragging occurs mainly with boys of P5 hostel.
Aboult half of the students are involved in alcoholism

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose ECE as it have scope in both core and non core field. There are 60 students per batch in our class. The teachers are having minimum masters degree. A lot of them have phd degree. Semister exams are conductod as per makaut with an average difficulty level

The college placement is average here every year the college averagely give 6 lakhs per annum and it is increasing per year teachers also explain about how to sit in a placement cell. There is extra class held for the placements in which the teacher taught us about how to make a CV and how to interact with others how to be confidence in English and how to approach our seniors for placements

Teachers behaviour is good so we don't hesistate to ask any doubt
Teachers qualification as techers are qualified so they have a experience and good knowledge for teaching
cmapus is so large that you can't see full campus a day we enjoy the campus joyfully

Dislikes

Haldia is a veryu polluted in west Bengal so there are the chance that you cansuffer from respiratoy disease

As i had interest in software field so i chose this branch 64:1 is the faculty:student ratio of the college mostly faculty have msc,phd and mtech degree wxams are according to the college as it is a autonomous college so college decides that whwn to take exams and difficulty of the paper depend on the mood of the college

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC

Courses:

The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.

Placements:

As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.

Fest:

The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
