Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

Basic Walkthrough of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

Likes

I like the huge campus as there are lots of things to explore and roam about.
I like the infrastructure as it was one of my dreams to study in such college
I like the fests, seminars and sport activities.

Dislikes

Access to few places are restricted to students.
The school and college are in the same campus
Some faculty members who hesitate to help weak students

From 3rd semester, students are eligible to sit for placements. Many well-known companies give offers like Amazon, Google, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Webel, Cognizant, etc. The highest package was around 36lpa and the average package is around 5lpa. Almost all students get placed over here. I will pursue higher studies after getting the degree.

Worth it college .

Likes

Library and teaching faculty was very good.
There were various opportunities through hackathons and internship to find your interest.
extracurricular activities and programmes are always going out n in the college

Dislikes

Less facilities for indoor games and activities.

Placement Experience:

I would say placements are very good compared to other private colleges. almost 95 percent students gets placed. With100 percent placement in CSE sections. Various companies like Amazon,IBM, cognizant,TcS etc visit our campus.you can sit in placement after your sixth semester. Average package for CSE students is around 12. Lpa. Though I plan on doing mtech after my btech degree

Heritage a good engineering college in West Bengal.

Likes

Placement is very nice in this college almost all cse/it/ece candidates get placed.
Faculty is very nice almost all are graduated from jadavpur university.
Campus of Heritage institute of technology is very nice it has huge campus.

Dislikes

Fees is high so it is almost non affordable for a middle class student.
Hostels are not available and therefore students need to take pg and flat near to college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of Heritage Institute of technology is very nice in comparison to other private colleges in west Bengal. This year Cozeva visited and offered 10 lakh per annum salary. Almost all cs/it candidates get placed here.

Faculty, The overview of campus, the style of studying

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for my personal interest as I liked bioinformatics a lot. The course curriculum is huge but informative and enjoyable and the faculty members are so good and for them, the course gets much easier to understand. Term exam, for the first sem - at 4 months, 2nd sem - at 3 months and 3rd sem onwards - at 6 months. Though the time is less for 1st Yr, the teachers are so much help that it becomes easier to appear in the exams.

Probably the most affordable private college with top class placement
The Great library of HITK and the semester book issuing method

Lack of cultural fests and lack of unity among students

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after 6th semester. Top IT companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant etc. visit every year. And they provide a good number of offers. The highest package was INR 44LPA and the average package about ?10LPA. The highest package on campus placement was ?14LPA. The highest recruiter is TCS. After getting the degree my plan is to get a job in top IT companies like Google or Microsoft with a good internship. It's the of every student. I will also try to attempt GATE.

The campus is awesome. Competition is high among students, AC Library is peaceful for study.

Dislikes

Attendance maintain of 75%. You have to maintain the 75% attendance.

Placement Experience:

The placements at my college are well. Almost 90% of students are placed in several companies like TCS, cognizant, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Microsoft, Amazon, HCL, Dxcorr etc. The highest package was 40 lakh & the average package was 5.5 lakh. After getting the degree I want to go to higher study.

Our college is very good and beautiful for its infrastructure.
Campus life is good as there is 4 canteen .
The faculty members are good , placement is good.

Dislikes

The location of the college is backside of Kolkata
There is no commity to conduct freshers party
In placement time main problem is spoken English.

There are too many company visits in this college like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. The highest package is like 1000000 per year and the average package is 400000 per year. 91% of students placed. My plans after getting this degree are to go for MTech for know too many things.

All the faculty of our college is very good, helpful
Library facility, lab equipment are also good
There is a good coding culture, helpful seniors

Dislikes

Because of autonomous college it gives us to many academic pressure
College campus is very small only 10 acers

As a Tier 3 college not so many big companies came into our college but the placement scenario is the ok type where TCS, Wipro, and cognizant come with mass hiring and the average placement is about 4.5lpa and according to official data 80% of students got placed.

Likes

Infrastructure and campus of heritage institute of technology is very awesome.
Faculty are very nice all are well experienced and educated.
Placements is also very good almos all cse/it candidate get placed.

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
There is no hostel provided by college so accommodation may be a problem.
No fests only tests happens here so you will rarely see any fest here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Information technology is one of the best branches in this college and also it is good in terms of placements. Almost all faculty are graduated from Jadavpur University they are interactive and intelligent. 4 surprise test happens then the final semester exam happens.

Likes

I like about the campus and facilities about the sports
I like the friendly nature of teachers in our college
I also like about the various types of food in main canteen

Dislikes

I don't like the fest not being conducted

CSE and IT and ECE departments get various types of placements compared to core branches like civil but they can go to higher studies like M.tech but non-vore branches If their cgpa is above 8 can get placements surely here. The highest package this year is from Cozeva is 10lpa and avg package is 5 lpa

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
