GCCBA Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I had opted for Bcom Honours in Accounting and Finance from this college. The teachers are good but a Lit bit aged. There are approx 90 students in compared to 1 teacher in this college. The qualification of the teachers is quite good. Term exams were held within 4-5 months.

Our placement cell is pretty much active. Last year it went up to 18 LPA. Though the majority of them are pursuing professional courses, they opt for higher studies. But still, the ones who appear for placement get a decent package. Various companies visit our college like byjus, EY.

The placements are appreciable. From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the prominent companies are Deloitte, Infosys, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is not much high not less.

I selected this course because I want to make a career in finance and this course teaches the required curriculum for the same. Goenka has experienced and professional faculties. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:80. In the curriculum, one internal assessment and semester-end examinations are conducted in every semester.

From the 5th semester, few internships are offered. But if students are looking for placements then they need to wait till the competition of their 6 semester. Then different companies will come for the campus placements. I am going to the grade college so quite renowned companies are coming there for choosing eligible candidates.

I choose b.com(H) as I had developed some interest in the accounting and finance sector. For that, I consider b.com(h) to have a good syllabus. All Faculty have a good experience in their field and they are very humble and polite. The only problem with them is they use a regional language that is Bengali most of the time

Very few students opt for placements as maximum of them continue with professional courses. But last year the highest package was 18LPA. Also recently THE INDIAN ARMY was in discussion to conduct an orientation in college to hire students for a post of an accountant in the Army.

From semester 6, students become eligible for campus placements. All the Big 4 companies visit our campus and many students got placed in E&Y and Deloitte. The highest package offered was 18lpa and the average package is 3.5lpa. I'll appear for the interview next year. Hope for the best.

The College has a well-developed Placement cell which takes care of the placement of the students. In the last 3 years, around 90 students got placed in reputed corporate houses. With a view to preparing the students for the job market, the College maintains a Guidance and Counselling Cell. Around 300 students got the benefit of this cell during the last 3 years.

I took commerce in class 11 so took bcom honors so that I can parallelly do CA. Few of the faculty teachers' stations for internals although there good and the others were average. Classes are not held regularly. Qualification of the faculties was good but the teaching style was not. Term exams were held regularly but they chose difficult queey taught less.
