There are exams at the end of each semester so twice in every academic year. There are some external subjects which have tests and final exams and 2-3 subjects are internal subjects which dont have finals and have other modes of evaluation, vivas ,class tests etc. There are midterm exams after 2 months of the commencement of the semester. These are of 20 marks. The finals are of 40 marks. The rest 40 marks are divided in projects, writings, research, assignments etc. The faculty student ratio is maintained nicely. Each class has a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 60 students amounting to 190 in the whole batch.

Total number of students that they intake ranges from 100-120. The ratio of women are generally more than boys, might differ with every intake. There are few permanent professors for the core subjects. During the specialisation they might bring in different visiting professors for more insight. The professors are helpful in there own way. Each paper is for 200 marks which is divided between internals 120 and 80 external written exam. And the papers will be as such to test your concept and knowledge.

marking schemes arent that well designed. faculty is not very lineint is giving marks. theres a lot of assignments for very little weightage which leads to overworking and very little outcome and demotivates the students

Faculty is divided into the various economic subjects. But a lot of subjects overlap and so does the faculty. The student to teacher ratio is about 1:40. There are sem ends which are considerably difficult and projects are given all semester round. Class tests are also taken once a semester.

The faculties are approachable . They are helpful but at the same time one or two are not and you cannot find every teacher good. I won't name people The faculties of subjects such as Ethics, Statistics ,Indian Constitution ,Mathematical Economics II teachers were really good in semester 1. The ones not good were from the subjects Principles of Economics . Rest were mid. The exams are difficult.Its not about studying. It's about understanding the subject because what you are reading from your notes and books will not come . The papers are more practical with the new education policy so you need to think and write papers. Memorizing doesn't help everytime. Yes people do face backlogs so the most important thing is concentrate on your class and make notes there and there itself. The course is good and the course is the reason why many people join Symbiosis School of Economics

There's one faculty for each course teaching a batch of 120 students but each division only has 40 students. Me Sumit who taught microeconomics was a very learned professional and catered a good learning experience. The exams are usually difficult and a fair few students get backlogs.

faculty to student ratio is around 1 is to 25. Faculties are helpful and approachable and encorage you to conduct research. Faculty of finance, trade and dvelopment economics are some of the best faculty. Although there are only semester end full lenghth external exams but many quizes and assignments for internal examination happen around the year.

According to me the faculties are well trained and have the right knowledge about their subjects and their no barrier between Students and teachers, students are free to ask any of their doubts to faculty and faculty members are always welcoming them without any hesitation.

We have a hugely dynamic and young faculty base. They ckme from various backgrounds and are well efficient for research work. Most faculties are working on their own research thus friendship with students is very easy.

The faculty is very competent, and the best at what they do. Every faculty is an expert in their own field of the subjects that they teach. Faculty of the institution is very approachable and every teacher goes out of their way to help the students overcome the problems that they might face.
