Likes

Professors are very good and supportable.
You can develope your skills and go in your interested fields through clubs and societies
We learn mamy things there and it become a important part of our life

Dislikes

Fests never held on time and there is no proper celebration of anything

The Placement Cell, Hansraj College is a student run body, headed by teacher conveners appointed by the college administration, working towards the common goal of getting students placed in various firms. The team consists of diligent individuals ensuring smooth placement drives for recruiters. Among the top recruiters of the college are eminent and distinguished organisations like Bain & Co., Kearney, LEK Consulting, Accenture Strategy, ZS Associates, United Airlines, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC and has attracted recruiters operating in varied industries like Consulting, Investment Banking, Finance, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, etc.

Likes

First think is the faculty , faculty is very good.
Second the campus vibe is outstanding hrc is not a college it's a emotion for me.
The canteen food is good and the mother diary Maggie and sandwich yummy.

Dislikes

The think I really really dislike is to wakeup early for the class of 8:40.
There is only some game's equipment ( bat ball carrom rackets and more ).
The lunch break is only 15 mints please increase that.

Placement Experience:

In 5th semester or last semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Physics wallah, TCS, Wipro, and many more. In my course, there was around 8lac per annum the highest package. In my class in 54 only 1or 2 got the job. I am preparing for given job exams.

Societies and clubs are quite good in college
Food in canteen is good and at reasonable prices

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well-aligned and helpful for students who want to make their career in the physics field. Faculties have great experience in their respective field, all of them are Ph.D. and had done deep research work in their domains.

A brief on my college life.

Likes

Our professors - They are good , supportive and helpful
The prestige of being from HANSRAJ COLLEGE as it is a very old college and is considered a famous and institution.
Our college gave some of the best and very famous and learned alumnis who are practicing in different fields today. different

Dislikes

Non support to ECA societies , they are not given any practice spot or any financial help from the college , everything is managed by the students itself.
There is a gaushala constructed by the college inside the campus itself . The relevance of building that is still unclear to me.
The area outside the college is not kept clean , a prestigious institution like this should worry about how it makes a forst impression to students and people passing by.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I basically chose the combination of History and Economics as I thought its a good humanities mixture. The course is great if you have a thing for both subjects. Economics doesn't include much maths and history if you find it interesting, it certainly is. The teachers are good except our one professor who never shows up lol. But in all the teachers are great and supportive of the students.

Critical Analysis of my college experience .

Likes

Exposure, People, library , societies , internship opportunities and getting a chance to visit other emminent institutions.
Metro facility, DTC bus service, active policing , A chance to meet intellectuals

Dislikes

Pathetic food and inhumane conditions of PGs, unhygienic localities, dingy cells where students live like birds of poultry farm.
Unsafe during night, system of contract based exploitation at PGs.
In the name of seminars or intellectual discussion political agenda is runned. People from specific ideology are invited. Saffronization of college.

Placement Experience:

The placement situation is not satisfactory but most of the students go for higher studies or UPSC. Students become eligible for placement in 2nd year. I wish to become a civil servant. Placement is mostly in Computer Science and Economics honors.

Life In HRC

Likes

The faculties are well trained and educated which makes it easier to ask doubts
The campus is big with beautiful greenery and big playground
My favorite spot would be the library. It was always packed with students that it motivates you to work hard

Dislikes

There is some partialty among students which makes it hard to mingle sometimes
The food in the college canteen can be improved
The desks in the classrooms can be changed as some are damaged

Placement Experience:

The placements start around the month of July for the 3rd year. You need to submit your CV according to the format provided by the placement cell in the college. The placement offers are divided into 3 Tiers. Tier 1 consists of placement offers from 10 LPA and above, Tier 2 consists of offers between 6 LPA and 10 LPA and Tier 3 of 6 LPA and below.

Life at Hansraj College, Delhi University

Likes

The Faculty at Hansraj is amazing and teachers are genuinely trying to help students
Sports activities available and also the sports equipments are well organised and conditioned
The Library is equipped with all the latest books and one can rely on library rather than wasting money on buying readings

Dislikes

The newly inaugurated the matti cafe is so expensive that being students canteen is only in our affordable range
Some of the old classroms are equiped with A/C but they seems not to be working

I think from the final year final semester the students became eligible for campus placements and if you want to know more about the placement scenario at different colleges you must visit ht e college website or the placement cell of that particular college The average package offered at Hansraj is 6LPA and the highest is 20 LPA. Mainly the job profiles are from the finance sector. The BCOM and ECO hons graduates are the most students in demand. As I am doing CMA as well I am not dependent upon college only for the placement however if I didn't get placed through college or CMA then I can approach companies through LinkedIn. It is the skills that matter the most degree is just there to make you eligible.

Philosophising Hansraj College

Likes

The library at the college is well maintained and has nearly all the needful books for students
The students culture at the college is very encouraging and helps us grow as a person
The experienced faculty is very helpful and help in gaining a lot of insights into the subject

Dislikes

The curriculum can be better designed with proper consultation from the students community
The classrooms infrastructure can be better repaired if proper funding is available from the govt and university

Course Curriculum Overview:

Philosophy as a discipline offers a unique way to enhance your understanding and outlook towards the world. It opens up our minds and transforms us into thinking being. Thus, I opted for the course. The faculty is quite experienced and very humble. The ratio of faculty to students is optimum as Philosophy Honours is a relatively newer course at Hansraj College. The curriculum too is well designed, though some absurdities do exist. Examinations do not have a very heavy bearing as the number of papers is at a maximum of 5, thus giving ample time throughout the semester to prepare and develop a good understanding of the subject

I love my beautiful campus of hansraj college and the gardens present here.

Dislikes

I hate the dirty politics done by thw poltical students in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college are done by one of the societies of our college which is Placement cell. They make resumes for the students and make them able to get jobs in campus placements when companies from different parts of the country Visits to the campus. From the 5th semester, students get eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Flipkart, Ekart, myntra, ICICI bank, hdfc bank, etc came to our campus for placements. The highest package received by a student was around 7.5 lakhs per annum and the average package received by students is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum.

Hansraj College- Open for opportunities to grab

Likes

The college library is spacious, clean, and has a huge variety of books to choose from along with a great environment to study.
The various places to eat in college provide great choices that are pocket friendly as well.
The vibe of the LP was great along with the famed Wall of Hansraj Alumni.

Dislikes

The old classes were small and did not have ACs but they are now being renovated.

Placement Experience:

Usually students in the final years become eligible for placements, there are a few cases of second years getting placed as well. There is a dedicated placement cell to handle placements of students. A few companies include Bain & Co., Deloitte, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, ICICI bank etc. The highest package offered last year was 36.5 LPA with the average package being 7.3 LPA. Around 50% of the students get placed as the rest decide to continue with their Masters. I plan to prepare for UPSC examination post my graduation

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
