The faculty is very knowledgeable and enhances individuals personality and growth they tried really there best to reach out the best potential of students.
The institution not only offers competitive tuition fees but also provides opportunities for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus jobs, ensuring affordability while promoting academic excellence.
I am a first-year student i don't have much knowledge about the placements but according to the website the average placement is 7,20,000 which quite good for a beginner, the college provides many internship opportunities as well.

Dislikes

Actually fee i decent but i guess scholarship and financial assistance facilities should be given but it's very difficult to avail here.
The college canteen is very bad . food tastes like hell
Student teacher ratio is also bad and not upto the mark

Pros and Cons of Ramjas

Likes

My college is Inclusive with diverse opportunity
Faculty is great with history department with a legacy
The annual fest of our college is upto the mark

Dislikes

The infrastructure for some of the department is not fine
Classrooms in the old building are very small
The college is bounded by politics and is a hub for it

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is informative and is relevant for competitive exams.. We start our course with the history or evolution of human beings till the modern day. We study modern west, history of india and other subjects.

One of the best college of north campus,DU

Likes

Faculty is trained and experienced and highly reputed
Curriculum is as per national education policy with variety of subjects
Various societies and clubs available in college to provide exposure

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old mainly in old block
Canteen facility is poor with awful food
Hostel is not available for most of the students

Placement Experience:

College provide placement opportunities but most of them are for commerce students. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, HdFC recruit from college. Average package varies around 12 lacs per annum and highest around 21 lacs

Likes

The social atmosphere of the college is quite good
Location of the college is also near the metro station which is good for transportation
The political awareness is also the reason why i like our college

Dislikes

Outsiders enter the college and create disturbance inside the campus
The auditorium is quite small and can accommodate only few students
NCC is not available in our college. I am interested in joining army forces in future .

Ramjas through my eyes

My college has lot of greenery and clean campus
My department's faculty is highly qualified. Most of the faculty members have done their higher education from prestigious institutes like IIT's and others..
My college has one of the best infrastructure in Delhi University with completely modern classrooms.

Dislikes

The equipments in my lab are either too old or not fuctioning which causes me trouble while performing experiments.
Their is an major issue of internet connectivity in my college campus. It is very difficult to acccess the internet and make phone calls .
Canteen of my college is not so fascinating. It offers mediocre food at relative high price. I usually avoid eating at the canteen.

The curricullum is focussed on providing practical knowledge bout the subject to the students rather then making them cram the books just to gain marks.Their ae lot of subjects that can be opted as additional subjects as on may like according to his interest.Teaching can be improved by more interaction between the teacher and the students.Exams are held at the end of the semester and are of moderate difficulty.

My college has a clean environment with a lot of greenery.
The faculty of my department is highly qualified with years of teaching experience infact my college has one of the largest physics department in whole Delhi University
My college infrastructure is quite commendable. The new block building in my college is of 5 floors which is highest in the north campus and probably highest in whole DU too.

Dislikes

Experiments are the soul of Physics. The equipments in my department lab are mostly old and are not functioning properly. This causes a lot of problems and errors while performing experiments.
Internet connectivity is one of the major problem that is faced by student of every department. The connectivity is very poor in my college. Receiving and making calls is nearly impossible inside the college campus.
Another thing about which i am dissapointed is the hostel intake strength of my college. For boys their are approx 180 seats from all courses which is very less. I have to go for opting pg instead.The fees for hostel is also quite high nearly 48k/sem

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose physics because of my interest in this subject. The curriculum is focussed on making students gain practical knowledge rather then just cramming the books. I can opt for specific courses which are of my interest as addition courses, this illustrates the flexibility of the curriculum.Exams are the end of semester which are of moderate difficulty

The infrastructure of the college and also how it is so clean around there
The society that are so active and fun all along also the inter college tournaments happening every now and then
The teaching method used by teachers and there curriculum also the skill and value additional courses going side by side

Dislikes

Well this college is kinda involved in politics a bit more then it should be election session is just way to chaotic
College management in some of this things like society funding and all is not that good
The girl is to boy ration in my course is not that good its 1:4

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the things like future importance of this course made me choose it and this helps me a lot for my further academic pursuits and for my future goals. About exam frequency there are certain class assessments going on all along like 3 tests per semester and one academic level exam per semester and also they are well focused on the practicals and practical assessment is also included in the the internal of the exam. Well there are few things they can improve in there teaching plans but most of things in curriculum and the teaching methods are already way to good and also we are assigned extra class if class was canceled so we won't lag behind.

Ambience and crowd of the college is desent
The Friends that I made and hangout with is the one reason I love this college

Dislikes

The canteen food they should really improve their menu
The perseption of people that how this college used to be…
Class rooms over here doesn’t have AC’s in summer’s it is really difficult

I really like this course as it's a multidisciplinary course that opens a wide variety of fields for me to pursue and choose my interest.I choose these course on the suggestion of my senior and some google searches. I believe while our curriculum provides a strong base for botany,zoology and chemistry there are areas too where it can be improved: Strengths: 1.Solid theoretical foundation. 2.Laboratories experience 3.Research opportunities Areas for Improvement: 1.More integration of interdisciplinary subjects 2.More empathy on practical skills rather than theoretical 3.Make better suited for industries Teaching methods can be improved by Active learning approach and Real world case studies In this course u will have internal exams before every sem and 2 sem exams every year and its not that much difficult

Dislikes

College canteen which is not good and the food is pretty bad
The classes are not equipped with AC as it is in a good location but this is a downside
Politics is sometimes too much in my college

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placements or internships you could say in the third semester after that companies do come in college for taking students and take them for permanent basis but we could say that the highest package that was offered was around 23 lpa and on on an average the package offer rangers from 6 to 9 lakh and the percentage of students getting placement is around maybe 20% and my plans I prefer to do CA and my own business application my college

The campus is soothing . There is a lot of space in campus where you can just sit quietly and relax.
The college sports ground is pretty huge and it provides all sports facilities such volleyball , basketball, badminton , cricket , football.
The teachers here are very cooperative and really help in clearing doubts.

Dislikes

The election time is a very bad time as there is a lot of nuisance in college campus and because of elections students are not able to study.
There are no air conditioned classrooms in college which is a big demerit during summers.
The lab equipmet needs improvement and they are also less in number as compared to the no of students.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. Mainly students of commerce courses like B.Com. get good placement as compared to students of other courses . The average package of the college is around 5.7 LPA while the highest package last year was 19.75 LPA . Students in 6th semester become eligible for placement. There are 1755 students enrolled in Under Graduate courses but only 74 of them got placed in the year 2023. The top companies that gave placement were Deloitte , Mother Dairy , Walmart , EY , Wipro , Morgan Stanley , Accenture , PwC and De Shaw & Co. My plans after getting degree is to go for Masters.

Campus size and environment is great. We have a big campus full of trees and a big academic block with ample space for classrooms.
Faculty is well experienced and arguably the best in their fields.
Course curriculum is great, especially for students preparing for exams like UPSC or SSC.

Dislikes

The canteen is in shambles and is rather unhygienic, with a lack of seating space and menu variety.
Political environment during Delhi University Student Elections - Ramjas College is famous for that.
Very low amount of seats for hostels, especially for girls.

Placement Experience:

Placements are usually mostly for the Commerce departments and Economics sometimes. Most students from the Science and Humanities, Arts Social Sciences departments prefer to continue their studies or prepare for competitive exams. Many students prepare for UPSC, CA, SSC and CAT while studying. The average package is somewhere around 5 to 7 LPA. The college has multiple societies like the placement cell and consulting society and the civil services society which aids students in such matters.
