SGTB Khalsa College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I chose Delhi University and that too SGTB Khalsa College because of the wholesome experience that the north campus provides you. With the topmost college arround your college, you get to interact with great people attend great sessions and live the actual DU life. That was the reason why I left the other two colleges as one was in South campus and the other i.e IPCW was off campus. Other than that the faculty of Khalsa College is most ly good especially of the political science stream. They also have a hostel but it is only for girls, the boys hostel is under construction. However I'll advise you to explore the PG and private hostels in Vijay Nagar as they are cheap and they usually don't have a deadline ( as in the college hostel it's 7pm which is quite early). The college is one of the costliest in Delhi University. It doesn't have the usual red bricks aesthetics that the other Colleges have. Nearest to the metro. Canteen is just fine, the nearby tapri is better. There are some good societies like the theatre society, the MUN society, civil services society, debating society, gidda society and many more. The diversity is a little less as it is a Sikh minority college. Other than that a bonus point is that it is fully air-conditioned.

placements starts in 5th semester companies visited- KPMG (near 45 offers), BDO(only for CA articleship) Delloite (26offers), TresVista(10-15 offers), Bain (near 10 offers) and 4-5 other small comapnies 40% got placements my plans are to pursue CA after getting the degree but placement cell is very rude and strict

Students become eligible for campus placement in the fifth semester. From what I know placements will be provided mostly to the brightest of students since those are the people companies would most probably be looking for and will entertain.

The placements of the college are good. The average placement is somewhere around 4-5 lacs p.a., whereas the highest placement for the last year was 16 lacs p.a. The top 4 consulting companies do visit the college every year, thereby recruiting a decent number of students. While most of the students go for a post graduation or a masters, some also prefer getting placed in the final year.

Campus Placement is for commerce background students. Many companies visit and a no of offers and they have a nice package as far as I know. Many students get placed in companies. I don't have much knowledge regarding it. My plan is to go for Masters's after getting my degree.

The students become eligible from the 2nd year itself. The average package ranges from 3-3.5 lakh per annum. I plan on going for my master's after some time. Companies ranging from Big4 to Bain to Tresvista, all visit the campus and offer competitive packages.

The college brings out Internship Opportunities daily along with monthly career development workshops which aims towards enhancing the placements of the college. In academic session 2020-21, the college witnessed 44 Companies including names such as EY, Bain and Company, KPMG Global, Deloitte, PwC, Wills Tower Watson, Apollo Tyres, etc. The highest package reached the height of 12 LPA while the average package is around 5.4 LPA. Also, throughout the year over 221 offer letters were issued to the third-year students. Most of the students after pursuing BA (H) Business Economics go for their higher studies- MBA, Masters, etc.

I plan on pursuing my masters from Delhi University in Literature. My college has its own placement cell, which aims at providing the maximum number of students with placement. The average package offered is around 2-3 lacs.

The BA Hons History faculty is amazing, you'll not lack good quality education at any moment in this college, teachers are ready to help you, you can call or text them. Well, make sure you ask your teacher first before calling. They will surely help you. I am studying in this college and yes, I completely agree with the fact that teaches are very helpful whether you want a suggestion for accommodation in hostel, studies, career, etc. Teachers are very cool too. I'll not mention their name but my teachers are very cool and friendly.

SGTB Khalsa College is one of the most prestigious college located in north campus of University of Delhi. The mathematics program in this college is of a very high standard. The faculty is pretty good. The teachers of this college are very helpful from the start. Being in the north campus, the college is surrounded by other colleges. This is very helpful as you may get to meet more people and you can make friends with students of different colleges and can expand your social circle
