SGTB Khalsa College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

2nd year and 3rd-year students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like KPMG, EY, etc. visit the college for hiring every year. An average package stands around 4-5 lacs per annum. More than 90% of students are placed through campus placements. After I got the degree I took a job with Times Internet where I learned new skills and enhanced my personality for the corporate world.

From 5th semester students become eligible for the placement. Khalsa has a very active placement cell which helps students in getting good placement opportunities. Major recruiters are KPMG, deloitte,, PWC, EY, Chegg, etc. About 80+ companies visits college for the placement. It was successful with 2300+ registrations and 8300+ applications. Profile offered are finance, management, consultancy, HR, etc Highest package offered was 80000 per month and the average package range between 4-6 lakhs p. a. Percentage of students getting placed is 70-80%. I will be going for placement after graduation.

Campus placements do happen in our college. Placement cell also conducts internship fair named anubhava for the students of all years .Students from 5th semester become eligible for placements . One should have at least one NGO experience and an internship experience in order to be eligible for a placement. A total of 33 companies have collaborated with the placement cell . The recruiters include McKinsey and co., Deloitte , KPMG, Ernst, etc. For article ship 6 companies have disseminated opportunities to the students namely- Grand Thornton, shine wing India, Mazars, KGS advisors, Aggarwal and saxena, sand martin . A total no. Of 104 offer letters have been extended to students. Profiles pertaining to the fields of audit and internal risk, knowledge, products consultancy , taxation ,finance, assurance etc. Average CTC is 5.22 lakhs . Highest remuneration offered is 15LPA.

Students become eligible for placement in the 3rd year. Placement cell named Ignite run by the monopoly of BCom Hons students do not cover many internships and placements for computer science and sciences students. Most of the jobs are for commerce students and one of my friend named Vanmit Kaur is in the core team of the Placement Cell. She is doing a really bad job and is not giving good placements. Really this college is not having a good placement cell and yes there are many big names that come for the placement but not at all up to the marked income they provide. I would not recommend placement cell as it's real shit and fake placement cell and one should upgrade their skills to get a placement not depend on these people.

3rd-year students are eligible for placements. The highest package of 2020 was of Mc Kinsey with 8lpa and average package of SGTB Khalsa 3 to 4 LPA. The students are mostly places from commerce courses as the big fours come for them. The percentage of students getting placed is 60% and I feel, I might opt for a job after a degree which is suitable as everything is work from home for now.

The college provides decent placements and there is a placement cell to manage all the requirements of the students. The best package is offered to a graduate is 4 lakh rupees. Most of the degree courses are available for 3 years and the diploma courses for 1 year. The college provides placement to all the courses.

The placement cell is primarily focused on the Commerce Department. The students are eligible for campus placements only in the final year, but internship fairs for other students were organized. Companies like the Big4, Bain, DE Shaw visited. The highest package was by DE Shaw around 12-13L, then Bain around 9L.

Students become eligible for campus placement after the 5th semester I haven't got in for any campus placement but I know that the average campus placement offered is 5.5 lakhs and the highest was like 12lakhs. Around 40-50% of students get campus placement.

Fifth-semester students become eligible for placements. There is a number of big companies that visit the college including the big 4 firms like KPMG, EY etc. KPMG and EY were the biggest recruiters the visited the campus.
