Canteen Place Dosa, Honey Chilly Potato and Thali
Library is very well build and have huge number of books
Teacher and Staff are very polite and try to help students

Dislikes

Sometimes some teacher get rude and also scold
Computer lab is not very well equipped and access is restricted
Food provided by Canteen is not of good quality

Various companies like KPMG, Deloitte, EY, GRANT THORNTON, DE SHAW, BAIN, PWC, Etc. and provided good offers to students. The highest package was about 21 Lakhs and the average package was about 3.5 Lakhs. About 40% of students are placed

Canteen... Which is open and gives amazing vibes
Sports facilities which include every single sport from chess to long tennis,efc
Societies we have every societies no matter it is for dance or singing or social working he have all and they helps in improving our personality

Dislikes

We don't have physical id card 🥲 a and also kabhi college se trip prr bhi nhi gye hai... We want to go on trip agr normally bolu to departmental trip to anywhere
We don't have garden or big sports ground
Auditorium which was closed from many years because of construction work... We need that

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I want to crack upsc and for that, I want to improve in economics and mathematics is my fav subject. Faculty is sufficient acc to student ratio. It's about 5:1 5 teachers per class. Most of the faculty have Ph.D. and they are amazing teachers, And teach very well. Exam once time per semester and if we read well it will be easier to crack exams.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE (VENKY) DU

Likes

Campus is big and it has very good infrastructure.
Canteen is big, you will get good no. Of options and the quality is not that bad
The faculty is really very nice. They focus more on student participation during classes rather then rote learning.

Dislikes

College should treat BA PROGRAMME as equal as other arts courses.
College should take care of its surroundings outside the college as there is sewage problem every month
There are so many stray dogs inside the college which can be dangerous for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have opted Ba program because it provides multiple subjects to study as I am a UPSC aspirant, and we have studied all the subjects, especially social science so I found this course suitable as per my requirement. The student-teacher ratio is fine college has a good number of teachers approximately 200+, so students teacher ratio is good. The faculty of sri venkateswara college is highly good. They now focus more on critical analysis rather than rote learning as I have experienced till now. Exams always happen as per DU guidelines usually after every 4 months and It's not difficult to pass the exam if you have attended classes and revised the concept a few weeks before the exam. You will able to get good marks.

Seperate building for science students..
Cricket ground and library infrastructure

Tennis court noone play but there is 4 court why can't figure it out
Only one entry point for the students in college campus

I choose this course because it provides a broad study of all three subjects botany zoology and chemistry and I also have an interest in research-related things which was the main reason for selecting this course

LIFE IN SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE

situates near durgabai deshmukh metro station
infrastucutre is one of the best in university of delhi
playground is beautiful and clean as it should be

Dislikes

there is always rush at canteen at lunch hour
wifi speed is good but sometimes it drops
you should always carry your i card or any other that shows you are student of college else you can not enter

I have taken admission in Sri venkateswara college, however all the classes for M.Sc. physics of DU regardelss of their college is held in department of physics and astrophysics, north capus of university of delhi . so can tell about the faculty of department of physics I was always fascinated about physics so chose this course there are 380 students in department and half of students attend class at a time

All about venky!

First thing i like in my college is that people from all parts of India are here.
Secondly we can get to know about cultures of all parts of india
Third is that crowd here is too good. Like sex ratio is maintained.

Dislikes

People here are little bit selfish, like they think about their own.
Some faculties don’t reply after the college hours.
There is no other thing which i like, so that’s it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.com hons because it was one of the most reputed course in Delhi university. Sex ratio in this course is i guess equal as i can see in my class. Faculties teach us using presentations and also from some renowned books available in the market. Thanks!

Limites sports equipment. As compared to student the sports equipment and limited

The course curriculum is upto the mark In du the UGCF was first implemented So a student can choose SEC AND VAC according to his own intrest For bcom hons the faculty is great. Supporting teachers who are always ready to help you Exams were conducted on time and with if you are regular in class u can easily pass the test

Faculty - Best faculty of Delhi University.
Sports - Sports committee is very active.

Dislikes

Canteen - Canteen foods are little bit expensive
Accomodation - South Delhi is too expensive
Wifi- Wifi speed is all time slow i don't know why?

Placement Experience:

Each year placement drive is driven by the placement cell of the college. The placement is quite good. The average placement is around 4-5 LPA. The companies coming to the campus are also from their 1 and it's a good opportunity for those who looking for a job just after graduation.

From the 5th semester, students can apply for placements. Around 5-6, companies come to our college every year several offers around 80-90 offers for different courses students. The highest package is 20,00,000 rupees and the average package is 6 lakhs to 7 lakhs rupees. Percentage - 30 - 40% of students got placement. I'm preparing for the BANKING AND INSURANCE exam.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
