Sri Venkateswara College is best College in Delhi university

Different political parties have unit, which made environment hot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Political Science honors because I have deep intrest in Political institutions and its functions. I am also interested in International relations. Faculty of Sri Venkateswara College is really good. All professors are very knowledgeable and cooperative. All the professors have PhD. degree with then having more than 10 years of teaching experience. Due to Covid, there is 4 months semester and it is not that tough to pass the exam.

30 minutes with my college

Likes

Sports ground is very nice and it is very much for sports enthusiasts.
Annual Fest that is Nexus which happens in February month and it is one of the top event in Delhi University.
College Library is much better than other colleges and enough spaces are available which accomodate ample number of students.

Dislikes

No placement for humanities background students.
Canteen does not provide variety of food options.

Placement Experience:

Since I am not from commerce student so i don't have more idea with regards to campus placement. But I know a little bit like students become eligible for placement after 2nd year and companies come like Deloitte, Decathlon etc. Many students got placement offer of almost 12 LPA.

Best days at Beautiful college

Likes

Our Campus is quite good and large with good greenery around and also there is ample space to chill out.
Our Department is one of the best department of our college and that is quite good thing I like about my college.
Infrastructure of our college is very good with proper classroom and all amenities for students.

Dislikes

I usually don't like the functioning of our administration block which function like mess.
Our Auditorium from several years is waiting for renovation and it's still not renovated.

Placement Experience:

Placement of our college is quite good and many courses like B.com and B.A. economics get their on campus placement during Placement fest. One can get Placement usually in their final year from 5th semester and many companies visit during fest for placement like. TATA, Zomato etc. Highest package last year was around 18 lacs and on average 7 to 8 lacs annual package. Around 70 % students from respective courses get their placements. My plan after getting degree is to opt for UPSC Civil services examination.

The faculty here is highly educated and experienced.
Almost all type of sports are played here . Sports facility is good
Library is very massive and all type of books are available here.

Dislikes

Library gets closed a bit early which is disappointing.
ACs are not installed in classrooms which is very needed in summers.
College administration does not provide much holidays even in the festive season.

Placement Experience:

Placements from our college is pretty well. Students become eligible for placements from semester 5. Many companies visit college campus every year. Some of which are- Deloitte, tcs, Infosys, etc. Highest package as per stats was 27.5 lpa and average was around 8 lpa. Around 50 % of students get placed every year. After getting my degree, I'll probably apply for an on-campus placement.

SVC in my view

Likes

I liked the structure of our college. It has three buildings for three defferent streams.
College has graden for students to rest.
Our college has two canteens and both of them are good.

Dislikes

I am living in Delhi for almost whole year and I think pollution is a big problem here even in our college.some time I feel suffocation in classrooms because of pollution
Some times college gate is too crowded but they never open bigger gates for students to enter.
College auditorium is in a very bad condition they haven't repaired it yet.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose physics because I am interested in studying physics and it is my favorite subject. The physics faculty in our college is pretty good that's why I chose this college to begin with and the student ratio is around 8:1. Almost every teacher has done PhD in physics and has good teaching methods. We have to take the exam every three months and every time a chapter is completed.

EXPLORING SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE - A review by a common student

Likes

Locality- it is on a 5 min walking distance from nearest bus and metro stop.
Canteen- Food tastes good and a value for money.
Greenery- college has a lot of greenery and a proper garden and a botanical garden, which is quite peaceful to cheer up the mind

Dislikes

lack of sports equipments is the one thing i hate the mist
the orientation of projector is wrong, which causes neck pain
the teachers don't give that much of guidance for future

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible after completing 3-4 semesters. I don't know much about companies because most companies are for commerce and humanities students, as they meet their requirement criteria. So, the highest and average package, can't be described but for guess around 10,00,000 and 2,50,000 as average. Around 2-3% of students get placement every year. After graduation, I plan for a master's in biotechnology.

There are many societies which help us grow.
There is a separate dog club in the campus run by students.
People are empathetic. They said sorry to you even they touch you by mistake

Dislikes

Competition is very high in the society.i haven't made it to the best societies.
Some people showed South Delhi attitude and very mean.
People do not organise fest good they don't decorate the college well.

This course has so many scopes. I can go in any field. teachers are so friendly and they teach us so well. Some teachers teach us like school teachers and exams are held every 6 months. Exams are so easy to pass. I passed all my exams by studying 4-5 days before.

The course is very fine as I am interested in my course. And the faculties of our college are so vast, all the teachers are highly experienced and have a great vision towards the building of students' character. The course curriculum is the standard one.

Venky - The Best Life at DU South Campus

Likes

The practical experiments conducted were fun and made it easy to visualise the concepts.
Nexus was the best fest I have ever attended. It was 3 days loaded with fun, laughter, prizes, and lots of excitement.
The maggi corner that was newly installed was the new favourite hang out spot for all the students

Dislikes

The college is extremely strict about attendance and we need to maintain an 80% attendance to be able to sit for our semester examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course since the field of physics was a growing field with a lot of scope in the future and I also had a lot of interest in the subject. The faculty were extremely qualified with all of them being PhD holders. The faculty: student ratio was 1:45 since we were all in the same class. The best part of the course was the practical lessons that we had. The pedagogy involved notes, presentations, projects and experiments. The semester exams had a fixed timeline and were always taken according to the mentioned schedule. They included both theoretical and practical examinations. I would say that the difficulty level of these exams was moderate to difficult. If one had focused on the lectures and done some self-study then it would be possible for them to pass. Last-minute study really did not work here.

Distance between my collage and home very far . It tooks 1 hours
Infrastructure, very old building and no proper structure
Hostel facilities was very limited . They gave hostel based on merit

The placement cell handles the placements. The average was around 6.5 lakhs per year and the highest package was 21 lakhs per annum. Companies like EY, HCL, BCG, etc take part in placement season every year.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
