A solid experience overall from my side such as the vibrant campus big ground keeping everyone hooked
The library is another big plus huge well stocked good for students who prefer a quiet environment to study in
Excited about the upcoming fests mainly Nexus expecting a lot from it since my seniors talk about it a lot and thats the best part of DU

Dislikes

The canteen even though there are healthy options i personally prefer a huge variety of options even though im a non vegetarian myself i dont mind eating veg food and all just a wider variety sounds good

Placement Experience:

Placements at Venky is decent for a south campus college specially for bcom students who land offers through their active placement cells most students start their internship from 2nd year onwards Top companies such as deloitte, wipro and ey visit so total is quite good highest package if im not mistaken was given to one for 21L and the average package ranges from 5 to 6 lakhs per annum Personally for me im gunning for CAT to crack iimand then fund a masters abroad for global finance exposure

MY HONEST EXPERIENCE AT SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE

Likes

really love the infrastructure and ict labs. Really huge the campus is which also helps in the over all vibe of the college
love the cafeteria of my college and the coffee sold is also banging
seniors are really nice and there are multiple societies you can join for your overall improvement

Dislikes

the staff members can sometimes be really hard to understand and they take completing the syllabus for granted
the canteen food can be really overwhelming and not finger licking
there are places where cleanliness is not maintained

economics is a really great yet difficult course and prepared us really well for the real world scenarios as we learn how to do forecasting in the corporate world. Improvement can be done with us interacting with companies and actually having conversations with experts so that we are familiar abou things actually work. The exams are moderate to difficult and you just cant pass them with one day prior study session.

The fest of svc that is nexus is the best in du
The admin is very cooperative and genuine

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not up to the mark.
The placement companies have been decreasing

My coursebis B.com hons.Rhe coursebis very well structured. All rhe aspects rekated to having a career in management and finance are covered.Would hundred percent recommend everyone who is looking forward to join. The accounts exams are really tough but the theory ones are easy.

Metro station is also just outside the college campus
Availability of PGs and stays are also quite easy to find

Administration is sometimes slow and u might have to wait in lines

Placement set Sri Venkateswara College are moderate but improving. Students become eligible in the final year. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, accenture, PWC, TCS and Genpact etc visit the campus The average package is around 4 to 5LPA, while the highest goes up to 10-12 LPA For top profiles. Around 40 to 50% of students get placed while many prefer higher studies or professional courses.

I liked the ground of the college and canteen's food are affordable so liked that also.

Dislikes

There is an incomplete auditorium that needs to be completed soon
Metro fare for gurgaon to delhi is too much for college students like me. I think this needs to be addressed as soon as possible

I want to go for data analysis job after my graduation and therefore I decided to do Bsc Statistics for the relevant learning before diving deep for the course of data analysis and data science afterwards.

Venkateswara - an amazing journey

Likes

The environment is very amazingly nice .
The ground in very big with ample sapce to hang out
The plants and trees are very lively!!!!

the diversity of the college id very good i met a lot of new people
the statistics faculty is very well educated ans support student
the fest of our college is consider to be one of the best in the university

Dislikes

wifi is very slow and there are a lot of connectivity issue
i don’t like the political parties in our campus during elections
i feel like the timetable should be more flexible sometimes i have classes with 3hrs gap in between

Placement Experience:

i think we have good placement in our college with a 98 percent placement rate which i think is very good thr avergae package is 590000 yearly i except the average package to be a but higher as our college is one of the best . i plan to purse masters in statistics after my degree

My college experience

Likes

I like that the college is well connected to other parts of the city which provides a lot of ease.
The college campus is full of greenery and there is adequate space to hang out with your friends.
The crowd of the college is very good and seniors are very helpful.

Dislikes

There is a lack of proper infrastructure in the classroom .
There is no AC in most college classes and it gets very hot in summers.
The faculty is not very helpful Ann’s doesn’t accommodate your problems.

The curriculum is well balanced and relevant, gradually increasing the difficulty level and working hard on foundational concepts. IT integration could be improved and the VAC courses are quite useless, however, SEC courses are rewarding.

The faculty member are helpfull like for me it wasn't easy to understand the lab work but they helped me a lot
The environment of college is healthy like the senior aren't like i imagined they are really helpful and no ragging happened
We get exposure personalized it was the reason why i choosed venky over local colleges.You get to participate in societies and learn a lot.

The lack of number of hostel and affordable hostels. Personally the monthly living cost is equal to ehole year fees and its disappointing

As a 1st year ,I have a very less idea about the placement but our college do offers placement and further student getting internships around from 5th to 6th semester. Depending on the interest of students . And the highest and average package is around 3 lakhs and the highest 6 lakhs and the number of student of the number of students getting placed depends yearly and my plans after getting this degree would definitely doing research.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
