Likes

Exposure is great of this college as compared to other South campus colleges and professors are also knowledgeable
Connectivity of Sri Venkateswara College is pretty good it has a metro station just touching boundary
Teaching facilities are decent and also great extra curricular activities like societies

Dislikes

Infrastructure and reading room facilities could have been better

Placement Experience:

Many students get decent placement if they were from courses like Economics honours or bcom honours and BA program with an Economics degree, Maths, Statistics etc. overall the placement scenario in Sri Venkateswara College is of decent quality as compared to other DU colleges. Companies like Deloitte, Bain and Company etc. offer jobs and internships to students in Sri Venkateswara College University of Delhi. Not many students apply for placements so the percentage of students getting accepted for placements is great.

From classes to cafes my DU experience

Likes

The campus vibe and infrastructure of the campus
The teachers are so cooperative and understandable.
Obviously the canteen is so hygienic and offer a good variety of food.

Dislikes

The poor admin of the college that student need to wait for hours for a very small work
The road outside the college is broken and the water stuck there and lot of smell and mosquitos enters in college
No Air conditioner facility at classroom which makes classroom very humid and difficult for student to study.

The fee structure of my cource BA Program ( Economics and English) is approx 20000 for year and there is a additional examination fee which is supposed to be pay by end of every semister to sit in the examination.No I am not enrolled in any type of schlorship

Venky:The best one out there!

College has good infrastructure and exposure to recent discoveries and innovations is very much there. Lush green Campus
participation in co-curriculars to enhance your skills are present. Active societies and fests.
Strong academics in science in particular. supportive staff and faculty.

Dislikes

Limited Infrastructure in some areas like auditorium.

Placement Experience:

There are College placements through the placement fair. Last semester, students of any course became eligible. 1. Consulting/ed-tech firms/finance companies come to this fair: like- Wipro, TCS, Accenture, Byjus, TFI, Genpact, Deloitte, Chegg Technology, etc. Placement: High Package- 6- 8lpa (Rare) Average Package: 3-4 LPA Future plans for Biochemistry : Higher studies or research.

Life at Sri Venkateswara college

Likes

1. Sri Venkateswara's infrastructure is one the best out of the Delhi University South Campus
2. There is the temple at the entrance of lord Venkateswara, which I personally love alot.
3. College's societies are very active and doing really good among the Delhi University circuit.

Dislikes

1. One thing which irritated me alot was the attendance issues as we are supposed to maintain our 66.7 percent attendance, due to this we aren't able to do on site internships and missed a lot of opportunities outside class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a commerce high schooler, I wasn't aware much about the English hons at first even I was not a reader but this course made me one of them, I started reading and even completed one of my novels in one night. So that was the effect of this course on me. I'm liking it now and very grateful to be here in one of the best colleges pursuing this course.

"Is Venky Truly the SRCC of South Campus?"

To be honest the crowd of the college is really good so if you like networking and all so will find yourself in a much better position .
The college do have a beautiful botanical garden and the main ground is also really good.
If I talk about the academics and placements then Venky stands above from several colleges , the faculty of Venky is very experienced and good.

Dislikes

Sometimes you'll find yourself in trouble because of attendance so it will be better if you take classes regularly.

Placement Experience:

The percentage of getting placed are very high if you are studying in Venky. The student who are studying in third year are eligible for placements. Companies like EY , PWC , KPMG , DELOITTE,BAIN, ACCENTURE hire students from our college the average package is around 6LPA AND the highest package may go up to 20LPA

I loved the infrastructure of this college.
The social interactions which is encouraged by number of societies and clubs being run in the college campus is awesome.
Placement opportunities offered by the placement cell of the college is also great.

Dislikes

Due to NEP, students are overburdened of so many subjects.
There is no semester break or less semester break than our expectations.
We don't get enough time to prepare for all seven subjects.

Placement Experience:

The college placements of my college are good. From 5th semester, a student become eligible to apply for campus placements. Highest package is 24,00,000 and lowest is 4,00,000. Many companies visit our campus for placements including big fours.

The college event that is nexus is one of the most top rated event of delhi university.
Faculties are very good and help students.
You can get a good exposure and the college don't have any ragging issues.

Dislikes

Rooms are not air conditioned and infrastructure is not so good.
Proper Sports gear are not provided by the college
Cricket nets are teared and not maintained properly.

The course is good and due to diversity in this course as it contain three different subjects chemistry, zoology and botany due to which you have options further to take part in any course and in MSC you have multiple options to participate.

Event Nexus is one of the top most event in whole of the delhi university.
College library contains all the books you required to study.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is little bit low need some maintanence
Rooms are not air conditioned which is not good in summers.
Cricket nets need to be maintained the are teared

The course of BSC (prog) Life science is one of the most opted course by students as it does not provide specialisation in any particular field. It opens many different paths in your future and help you decide in which field you want to go. The main three subjects are botany, chemistry and zoology.

the thing which i liked the most about the college is the location of the college. It is located in the heart of the city, where students have access to the markets and all the cafes.
the college is just opposite to the metro station, making it easier for the students to commute
also the professors at the college are highly qualified and supportive

Placement Experience:

in the final year of the undergraduation, students become eligible for the campus placements.if you upskill yourself with relevant skills required in the industry, you can manage to get a campus placement. but only the course curriculum wont help you get a corporate job, except for a teaching job.

the college ground is very vast and beautiful
the college canteen have quite good food options which also tastes good and are affordable fo the students
college labs are very well maitained ,lab staffs are very helful

Dislikes

the infrastructure needs improvement ,its good but not upto par
the college auditorium is not not well maintained
the sports is very small and does not have much space

from 5th semester students gets elligible for campus placement . my plans after graduation is to do my masters after giving either cuet pg or iit jam exam .or i can to do my 4 year graduation and then do phd degree

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
