Its highly active student body, the cliche "DU BUZZ" but with more academic strictness, which gives a nice balanced atmosphere
The Campus is very green, open and spacious

Placement Experience:

the college has an active placement cell however we as science kids do not rely on it much as it is majorly commerce dominated. There isnt much placement or internship recognition for science kids but it is acitvely improving with more professionals gracing our college campus with new opporunities every now and then.

True Picture Of Sri Venkateswara College

Likes

I liked the environment and the atmosphere in the college.
The canteen is quite hygienic and provides a good variety of food.
The library has a lot of resources available for use for students.

Dislikes

I dislike the infrastructure in a few classrooms.
The curriculum is a little outdated in a few aspects.
The faculty is quite experienced but classes are a bit irregular.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for sitting in campus placements. After the third semester. I believe and the average package offered is around six lakhs per annum. Companies like Deloitte EY Accenture Bain often visit our college for placements.

Academically, the faculty is one of the strongest pillars of the college. Most professors possess strong subject expertise and are deeply knowledgeable in their respective fields.
Campus life at Sri Venkateswara College is vibrant and engaging. I actively participate in society’s events which enhance my leadership and communication skills.
The quality of social interactions is positive with students from diverse academic and cultural background, which makes it quite impressive because you have a lot of variety of people to talk to

Dislikes

Administrative deals, processes related to paperwork, certificate, and app approvals can be slow and time consuming
Courses, especially in quantitative subjects like statistics are often two theory oriented with few hands on industry experience
During exams, campus, space can feel very congested and hectic

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College does have an active placement cell that engages with the companies to bring the recruitment opportunities to campus for undergraduate classes. Average package has been 5.5 lakhs and the highest package has gone up to 22 lakhs per annum number of Offer as per 2025 is 213 and 44 companies had visited, including Deloitte and Accenture. The college also frequently organises internship, fairs and events where students can connect with companies for short-term and project based roles internship participation tends to be stronger than formal placements, and many student secured internships that later help them in full-time job sectors

The infrastructure of my college is extremely beautiful. We have pretty gardens like the rock garden, the botany garden and a huge field with a view of the metro station. The canteen and the maggi point are also great spots
The faculty is amazing, all our professors have great experience and are experts in their respective fields
The crowd and networking opportunities are great. There is a plethora of societies, clubs and events that take place on campus.

Dislikes

The attendance system of being debarred from exams for not having a certain percentage of attendance bothers students, especially students who are part of electives and societies and have side hustles which they manage alongside college
The classes can be more interactive and could encourage student participation with more activities to learn rather than just lectures

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is extremely relevant to the course, when I chose my course as economics honours this sort of rigour, mathematics and critical thinking is exactly what I expected and also wanted. It prepares me to take on various opportunities and expands my options to more than just economics. It gives me knowledge on how markets work, and deeper insights into topics such as inflation, GDP, balance of payments which are basic but crucial for understanding the subject and looking at the world with the eyes of an economist

The best college

The overall experience in college has been wonderful . The engagement with peers, college infrastructure and everything is wonderful.
The boys and girls ratio is decent with a near 1:1 ratio and enough opportunities for girls present in college.

Dislikes

The only thing I disliked is space. The campus could have been a little big.

Placement Experience:

The placements, as mentioned before, are amazing. We have Alumini from various big firms including BCG, Bain & Company, McKinsey, DE Shaw etc. Companies like these, recruit the students from our campus and offer good packages, with average package being above 6,00,000 and going as high as 21,00,000 with good roles offering high ROI.

Washrooms in old arts block could be better
Better sports equipment could be available to borrow
Not a lot of good food options in canteen

My course bachelor of arts in economics is considered to be quite a rigorous course but it is very well planned as we copy it from the london school of economics which is top tier hence better renown curriculum prepares us well for real world and improvement could be done having more practical experiences timing of exams is very bad at end of year

Experience of a 1st Year, Day scholar Bcom student at SVC

The college is located near the centre of delhi towards the south and every famous spot is close to it
It provides good placement opportunity to the students

Dislikes

It is not located in north campus and lacks that environment
People are not that social and keen to interact
Theirs no AC in classes and are there only in Labs

Likes

There are multiple water coolers places in various areas of college
The ground is very large and even the rock garden

Dislikes

There is no auditorium which makes it difficult to conduct events
The teaching faculty is not the best, teachers do not teach well
The food in canteen is often unhygienic which has lead to health issues

The overall crowd, since its one of the well known colleges of du, the crowd seems great and being the most famous college of south campus the campus life is great
The faculty is well trained since its one of fhe prestigious college of du
The infrastructure is nice, new buildings where our classes take place is good

Dislikes

The time table is very tiering since we have classes from 9-5 3 days a week and rest of the week no classes take place creating no balance
The infrastructure for summers is not nice
The attendance criteria is very rigoureus

The average package is 120000 which is pretty good after bachelors degree and placement is pretty good. Percentage of stidents getting placed is somewhere between 30-60% .companies like BAIN etc visit and hire students. My plans after getting a degree is to apply for masters

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
