The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

COLLEGE DISCUSSION

Likes

I like the big campus and the classroom and also the faculty and professors
I liked the lab faculties and helpful professors and the discipline the college has
The students are talended and intelligent and are well behaved and everything is fine including library canteen

Dislikes

Thrre is no playground and canteen is not so big
There is a lot of discipline around and feels like a school sometimes
Once you enter the college you cannot go out anymore without permission of authorities even if you have no work to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

As it was my interest and my passion and future also I want to proceed with that Faculty is nice and good and students are focused and inspired too and are intelligent That I don't know Every 1 month there were term exams and it was quite difficult and hard to pass so you have to study

My Experience in UEMK campus

Likes

Faculty members are too much friendly . The doesn't live any opportunity to make us feel like home
The canteen is too much good . Food quality is best .
It has a vast library with enough books. We get every books what we need

Dislikes

The college campus is too small if we compare with other colleges
They doesn't give us that much holidays .
The high tuition fees feel unjustified given the subpar infrastructure

Things to know before getting into UEM Kolkata

Likes

In exams they ask only what they teach in their class notes. So if you follow the notes it will be very easy to score good marks.

Dislikes

Fees is too high. Although there are a lot of facilities, still the fees could be a bit lesser.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent....just like most of the other private engineering colleges in the city. Abiut 50-60% students get placed with average package of 3-4 lpa. Some students get 7-8 lpa, some even 15 lpa.

Brief review of uem college.

Likes

I liked the library facilities provided by the college that's good.
I like the facilities for food and canteen.
I liked the ragging free environment in the college.

Dislikes

The fees is to high according to the quality of college.
Student to teacher ratio is very low.
They clam to give 100% placement but in reality it is less than 50-60%

I choose cse(aiml) since this is what I was getting. Faculty student ratio is very poor there are 100 students in one class . But Qualification and quality of faculties are good. There are 3 exam term1, term2 and final semester exam.

Give me some sunshine

Likes

Social life at the college was overall good.
The seniors were very much friendly. Got many friends.
The technical and innovative aspect of the college is excellent.

Dislikes

The exams were a bit tuff. The papers that came for our semester was a bit moderate to lengthy.
Some of the faculty members are worse. They don't even clear our doubts.
The infrastructure is average for such a college that is taking 7 lakhs for 4 years. They should atleast get us a big playground for football or cricket.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose to study B.Tech in ECE from UEM Kolkata. It is a very good course especially when you're not so good in Computer Science. The faculty is overall good and friendly. The exams were a bit tuff because the college is anonymous.

Atleast placement wise the college is somewhat good considering the number of companies it knows and students it can offer. Students become eligible for campus placement and internship from 3rd year. Highest package is 72lpa off campus and average package is 6lpa

Pros and Cons of University Of Engineering & Management KOLKATA

Likes

the faculties are helpful . They will respond in most of the cases
All types of student can be found in the campus from mediocore to Brilliant .
food facilities are quite good . all types of food can be found in the canteen area

Dislikes

some faculties have huge ego . They will taunt you simplest mistakes .
the average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
there is so much pressure in 1st year . Irrelevant subjects are there in the 1st year curriculum

Placement Experience:

after 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements . The average package is quite low . The number of companies are good but mostly are service based companies . Some name of the companies are TCS , ACCENTURE , TECH MAHINDRA , WIPRO etc . I think I might prepare for Civil service after getting the degree

A Brief Look into University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (UEMK)

Likes

Campus life is quite good. The students are very friendly.
Faculty is very good with very vast knowledge of their own field.
The courses offered have great varieties.

Dislikes

The infrastructure can be improved with better cooling system.
The number of holidays offered can be more.
The examination schedule can de organized better.

Placement Experience:

Our college gives out good placements. The average package offered is 4.5 lakhs. The package ranges from 3 to 72 lpa. The annual number of companies that visit is in 20s. One can also go for further studies.

Experience at UEMK

Likes

I liked the infrastructure and the college buildings
I liked the faculty. the teachers are quite supportive.
The library is also very good with lots of books available.

Dislikes

I did not like the location of the college
I did not like canteen food and the ambiance
I did not like the college timings which is followed strictly

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I really wanted to learn about aiml, which is my specialization in this btech cse course. The faculty student ratio is quite good and appropriate. Teachers use modern methods to make us understand stuffs quite well. The term exams were on a really timely basis.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
