The scholarship also grants to good students, their placement training and assistance are brilliant, and our college is always ranked in the highest placement ratio.
Our college gives a huge opportunity to each and every student to get placed in the reputed company and they can a get a good idea of how the interview done
Teachers are really helpful and are passionate about their subject and motivate us to make changes in the learning experience .they provide helpful meaningful notes for students to prepare for exam.they do listen to students suggestions while teaching.

Dislikes

College canteen is not so good. the food they provide its not good
The average package is very low . last placements were not so good .
Hostels are not good there..students prefer more for pg and own flat,as hostels also don't have good mess as there foods are not good.

One of the best engineering colleges in West Bengal !

Likes

The workshop classes are great. We can learn a lot of stuff there and it's definitely fun to learn with all the practical experience with the machineries.
The location of the university is great.
Teachers are very friendly and helpful. Just submit your assignments and practical notebooks in time.

Dislikes

In-campus football ground should have been a little larger.
Cafeteria's menu is not good. Not a lot of healthy options.
Without proper uniform, students face trouble while entering the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teachers are great. They are highly qualified. The library is good. Got a huge collection of books. There are a total of 3 exams in each semester which are term 1, term 2, and semester exam. Study materials are provided by the faculties throughout the semester.

Placement is very good in our college so it's a big chance to get the job
Our library is so good and we are studying in our college library
Our faculties are also good.Faculties help us a lot in studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly engineering is my childhood aim . So I'm studying this course and cse is the best btech course because I love coding like c,c++, python etc. And I also love ethical hacking. Faculty is very good . They are teaches very well . Our term exam and semester is very hard. Our exam is very difficult and questions is also very difficult.

Likes

Placement opportunities is very high in uem
There are many clubs. Sports and others clubs are also good
Faculty members are good and supportive in case of any doubt

Dislikes

There is high student number which increase the competition
There is no hostels inside the campus , all hostels are outside campus
There is very strict environment, you cannot enjoy there except break

Placement for btech students are good enough and Placement eligible is 60 percentage from grade 10 till last semester should be must and for few company more than 60% also required. Eligible Students can sit for Placement from final year of course. My plan to apply for off campus and on campus for job

My College life in UEM Kolkata

Likes

I love the Cafetería and Canteen, the teachers would come in our classes to let us step in a future full of hopes.
I also love my friends in here, everyone is there for me when I need them.
I love the Atmosphere as it's too silent and also discipline of the college is the biggest thing for me.

Dislikes

Not many but some disturbances during class by some kids.
The crowd of cafetería and canteen during lunch time.
The slow speed of the lift, I can climb faster than that.

I choosed this course because I wished to learn more about computers and robots manufacture. Faculty to student ratio is Best since there are multiple professors for each subject like ESP and SDP, Mathematics and etc. They are highly knowledgeable and are too good and supportive. Term exams were in 3 months interval and Semester exam would be held in 6 months.

The faculty members are very much kind to all the students
The Campus is very much hygienic as well as the classrooms are also well ventilated
Our college is very much strict towards discipline

The uniform system is the most disliked thing
The canteen food is not very good for our health
Not having a proper playground where we can practice our sports

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, and many more. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average package as per the last year is 4.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is around 93%.

Way of understanding the college

Likes

Faculties of University of Engineering and Management in the student
Faculties of University of Engineering and Management try their level based on understand the topic to the students
Faculties and other teachers help students of Engineering and Management regarding their place names

Dislikes

Many of this sports and not allowed in the college campus
Students are given much much strict instructions to be in the college
Attendance is very very mandatory to all the students in University of Engineering and Management

Placement Experience:

From the fourth year the students are allowed to apply for the internships and College placements Lawyers from judicial academy and another forms visit our college to select the students of law sector highest packages offered by the companies are around15000 to 25000. Also those students were capable for higher highest abilities are offered the jobs around 50000 to 60000 80% of the students got placement from University of Engineering Management After getting the PhD degree I want to apply for the LLM and also the other UPSC exams

Things I liked in this college was the college faculty and the placement opportunity which was given to students.The campus life was very hectic as there was alot of pressure of studies also.
The exam pattern was very well and good and the placement offered by companies was better in comparison to other colleges.
The course was highly skilled and advanced and our college also provided extra curriculum activities other than education.

Dislikes

The exam schedule of the college is hectic as after term 2 ,we have practicsl exams and semester exams consecutively.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements after the sixth semester and preparations are done right from 1st year itself. The names of the companies visited are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. and the number of offers made is above 1336. The number of companies visited is 79 and the highest package is 72 LPA by a USA-based company the average package is 6 LPA and the number of profiles shared is 1336. The percentage of students getting placed is above the 85 percentile. My plans after getting the degree are to get a high-profile job in a reputed corporate company and also to enhance my skills.

University Of Engineering And Management - One of the best Colleges for Placement in Kolkata

Professors, faculty members, ragging-free campus,
neat and clean classrooms, discipline in the code of conduct.
Ragging free campus, One of the Highest Placement Giver of our State (IEM & UEM)

Dislikes

At times the library is at fault, like we cannot borrow books whenever time we want. Either we need to borrow at the start of the class or in the lunch break or after the last period of the day.

Placement Experience:

We are eligible for campus placement after 3rd year. UEM is certainly doing wonders in the most vital part of an Engineering college i.e. Placement. Last year the highest package from our college was 72.8 lpa from an R&D Company and they took literally 8 of the students each getting 72.8 lpa. The average package of salary ranges between 4 lpa to 4.5 or 5 lpa. In essence in computer science and engineering our college maintains a 95% placement in our domain. And the other domains are really impressive when it comes down to IT or Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication. My plan is to grab a high-paying job offer from this college and I'm really thankful to this college for all the amenities provided by them.

Placement is very good, TCS, CTS, CAPGEMINI, and WIPRO hire huge no of students except KPMG, INFOSYS and many more well-known companies. The highest package is 72lcpa. More than 95 per cent of students are placed in several companies.

Why am I getting so negative reviews about UEM Kolkata?

UEM Kolkata has been the highlight of negative views lately and here are the reasons:

It is fairly new and hasn’t reached any milestone yet which makes it unreliable according to the standards set in society. People don’t trust newly established private universities.
The entrance exam of UEM Kolkata is very easy and people pass it without any problem.
UEM Kolkata is new and therefore has no accomplishments and therefore uses the records of UEM Jaipur which makes parents skeptical.
The Institute has a very strict environment and therefore comes in the way of students who want to enjoy their college life. These students somehow convince their parents that the Institute is not good for them.
UEM Kolkata had issues with UGC(University Grants Commission) and is not recognized by the government and therefore it creates doubts about the degree among students.

These are some of the reasons why some students will be skeptical about joining UEM Kolkata. Talk to the students presently studying there as they can only provide you with the exact information. Try visiting the institute beforehand and decide for yourself.
