Remarks

The college management is very good and helpful. Whenever any student has a doubt, extra classes are arranged to address that issue. The management is quite approachable.

The B.Sc (Economics) Honours programme is interdisciplinary. The programme seeks to develop intellectual discipline, critical and analytical thinking with a view to grooming passionate individuals capable of taking up responsibility.

Our college 100% placement opportunity for students. Symbiosis School of Economics has been attached to the majority of companies and industries with a very reputed brand name hence this helps the students to get better opportunities.

There are so many events are celebrated in our college like Suresh Tendulkar Memorial Lecture (STML) Series, Economist of the Year (EOTY), Guest Lectures, Co-Curricular, Student Workshops/Seminars Other Events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the course is Academic Fee (per annum) Rs. 1,92,000a and Institute Deposit (Refundable) Rs. 10,000 and Total Rs.2,02,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

There has been a scholarship offered to the best student of the year after the course has been completed. A college doesn't really provide any internship program. However if so, I have not much knowledge about that.

Campus Life

The hostel rooms are spacious with natural light and ventilation. Each room has an attached toilet and bathroom.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very helpful. There is no sign of ragging in our college. We hang out with our seniors, party with them.

Admission

The college take entrance test before admission Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for admission to SSE. The candidate is required to make a separate non-refundable payment of Rs.1000/-. Based on the SET score, the institute will conduct a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI) for the shortlisted candidates.

Faculty

The faculty is extremely knowledgeable about the subject they also encourage the students to try new methods of studying.

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
