I feel so proud to be here and the faculty are just superb and awesome.
Thd placement in my college is pretty good in my branch the average package is ruppees 2500000 per annum many of big companies like microsoft, atlasian, amazon, google, wipro etc visits here for giving good placements
Even if bit mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is very bad they are very rude they don't listen to anyone else.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside
Some faculty members are very educated and experienced but some of them have absolutely no knowledge they have just got the degree are just there to disturb students.

Life in BIT mesra

Likes

Faculties are quite supportive.Ready to help anytime
We have different clubs and activities goes around the year
Lush green campus with all the facilities

Dislikes

Do not have night canteen so it's quite difficult for late night cravings

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is decent in lower branches but quite impressive in higher branches..like in higher branches like Cse or ece we have avg around 16 to 18 lakh ann in lower it's around 9 to 10 lakh which is quite good

BIT MESRA - A BOON OR A BANE

GOOD REPUTATION IN THE COUNTRY , GOOD ALUMNI NETWORK , FACULTY IS NOT VERY GOOD BUT ACCEPTABLE QUALITY.
Hostels for 1st year students are good but later its not very plesant , there are supportive seniors who are there for us whenever we need them and the clubs often have hiring wherein we can enchance our skills .
GSDC Club is a great oppportunity for all CS Enthusiasts. The fests are decent not like the ones in IIT and NIT but still worth it. You will find great freinds but even greater memeories

FACULTY CONSTANTLY TROUBLING FOR ATTENDANCE
SOME FACTULITY TARGET CERTAIN STUDENTS AND MAKE THEIR LIFE MISERABLE
NOT VERY ACTIVE PLACE AS ITS 20KM FROM THE MAIN RANCHI CITY

Placement Experience:

The palcements scenario is decent in our college . Here very good comapnes come for recuritment but they are grenerally for the branches like computer science and IT. Other branches like ECE and EEE also have decent placemnets but othereise all other branches have a pretty dull placemnet scene.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quiet decent here. Tech branches have good placements while the non tech branches sometimes not even got the knternship opportunities. If I don't get the internship then i will go for higher studies

Bit mesra college review

Likes

The most liked thing in this is college is its lush green campus
The classes and lecture halls are up to date and have many advance facilities
Placements are also good then many of the nits and iiits

Dislikes

Administration is the big turn off for this college
Location wise it is not so good located far away from ranchi
Some teachers knowledge is not up to the mark.

Placement here at bit mesra are very much decent almost 300 companies visited last year and the average package was 11.6 lakh rupees per annum. Companies like Microsoft google visit frequently here at bit

So its birla institute of technology and its a quite old college it has its brand value and clearly it has a very beautiful campus .

Dislikes

They lack very basic facilities such as a good cantein a good cafeteria area .college campus is very big but its dead.
Hostel rooms are very basic and administration is the worst to be honest there is no student union .

Placement Experience:

The placement i would say is okaish . For mathematics and computing the avg package was close to 13.5 lakh per annum . Which is okaish if we consider the fees. Many do masters after that . Almost all company visit our campus be it google Microsoft adobe etc etc .highest package was 51 lakh per annum domestic .

Likes

Lush green campus with an area of 700 acres surrounded by rivers on 3 sides. Very asthetically photogenic campus
Good student professor engagement, supportive staff and professors
Good internship and placement opportunities, college makes sure everyone is placed by end of the semester

Dislikes

Good sports facility but less interaction with other institute for inter sports
Budget college fests, poor fest timings.

Placement Experience:

The institute has one of the best campus placements. It invites all the top notch companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Goldman Sachs and many more. Around 128 companies visited our campus for CSE department in 2024 They offer a average package above than the market trend with no bond in the company. Students are not allowed to accept more than one offer at a time. Eligibility criteria for placement in CGPA The highest package was 70L per annum and average CTC was 14L per annum which was less than last 2 years

Lush Green Campus : The campus of BIT Mesra provides a wide variety of natural aesthetics which includes Trees of various kinds
Faculty : The faculty is experienced and well qualified to cater to all the needs of the students.
Sports Facility : At BIT Mesra, we have a state of the art sports facility which is a great stress buster for those who are involved in sports

Dislikes

Library : The library seems pretty outdated and old-fashioned. The library timings are also a huge problem for the students as it closes by 9PM

Placement Experience:

According to the data of 2023, the average package was that of 11.57 lakhs per annum with a highest package of 51.00 lakhs per annum. The average placement percentage over the last few years is around 75% with an average median package of 8.5 lakhs.

24/7 Library not available, Bangali Professors(Specially of my department i.e. Chemical) discrimatory behaviour towards Non Bengalis and Favoritism towards Bengalis.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for internship and from 7th semester they are eligible for placements. Companies visited are around 150 and offers made are around 700-750 Highest Package: 60 LPA Average Package: 7.5-8 LPA Percentage of students places: 75-80% Plan after getting the degree: Appear for GATE.

Campus is good and full of greenery and there is also a river inside it.
There are many food stalls and also of good quality.
The festival celebrations are top notch, be it holi,diwali or anything.

Dislikes

Proffesors are very rude and very bad of ECE and physics department
The administration amd management is worse in this college.
The placements are declining day by day.

Placement Experience:

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

Academically college is too strict that I found as u could focus more on studies instead of any distraction
Faculties are too good and helping and truly supportive
Bit mesra has a very good maths department that helps students to get the maths strong

Dislikes

Hostel are too old need renovation and occupancy should be 1 for small rooms not 2
Gender ratio is not so good college should adapt female quota
Inner campus is so beautiful but outer is average

Bit mesra is opened in 1955 thats why It has a good alumni network they use to take quiz hackathon and many other so that we face real world applications Teachers should try not to use ppt they should try to teach as much as possible mid and end semester exam are difficult but quiz are quite easy about frequency we have exams in each month so it is high and timing are good as time period is enough
