It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

NIT:MIX OF BEAUTY AND CHAOS

Innovation and research is top notch here.
It is more advanced than most engineering institute
Greenery of this institute makes it more beautiful

Dislikes

Large disparity between core branch and tech branch
Some toxic students who ruin the beautiful moments
Large competition in your own branch to score better cgpa

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students start receiving internship and placements eventually.Companies like Google,futures first,Bajaj etc visit our campus in placement season.83 lakh was highest package offered in placement season Normally 80 percent students are placed.my plan is to sit for placement

Faculty are of highly qualified, infrastructure is massive, osm curriculum activities.

Dislikes

The attendance criteria,(85% attendance)

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is only after completing the final year,but the students prepare their intership in the 3rd year itself. The college offers 100 percent placement with the average package upto 16 lpa and the highest goes to 55 lpa in oncampus placement but in offcampus it goes to near 94 lpa.

The placements of NIT ROURKELA is very good with a average package of 1300000 highest package of 4200000 and median package of 600000. Renowned companies visit our college and the percentage of students getting placed is almost 90%

Likes

The environment is very healthy and calm.
The campus is the best place for me .It is the best ever thing that nit Rourkela has given.
The seniors are also very supportive and no ragging is there.

Dislikes

The placements vary each year, so it creates many confusion about future
The curriculum is very old it has to be changed according to the present requirements.
Most of the faculties are supportive but some will just go through the slides.

Placement Experience:

After getting the degree the degree i will go for placements .I will prefer core because the placements are really good in nit rourkela. I wish...my journey gets sucess.Previous year the placements for electrical was 100 percent. So wish this trend continues

Likes

There is very strict laws against ragging.
The campus is very beautiful and very vast.
The sports facilities in the college is very good.

Dislikes

The attendance percentage is very high 85%.
The teachers teach very quickly and with pdf’s only.

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6 sem students are eligible for campus placement. Top companies visited the college with more than 700 offers. Highest package- 83LPA Average Package - 13 LPA Placement percentage is approx 95% To take placement.

I like the maintenance of this campus they maintain this very neatly
The security here is very strict which is very safe for students
The academics and faculty and placements everything regarding studies is good here

Dislikes

As I'm from South I don't like the food provided in mess that much
The attendance percentage required here is 75 percentage which is good for students but somewhat difficult to follow
Some professors will correct exam papers so strictly

Placement Experience:

Campus placements of nit rourkela is very good almost everyone are getting placed with decent packages average package of nit rourkela is around 20 lakhs and highest package is also very good 4th year students are eligible to get campus placements

Good Placement Record with high average package
Lush green campus which is located at side of hills
Senior Junior Relationship is healthy with 0 ragging

Dislikes

Students divided according to their particular zones
Faculties are not much supportive and teaches faster

Highest Package is :-- 83.60 LPA and average package is 12.95 LPA. 95% Students got placed in 2023. And many opt for higher studies. After getting the degree I am planning for a job with decent package.

The thing I liked most is the place allocated for sports. We have a large perimeter of area for playing different kinds of sports such as cricket, football, handball, khoo khoo.
We have a very much dedicated faculty members for providing students what they need.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.

Dislikes

The attendance percentage required to clear a semester is high.
Major area of the college is left unused, which may be better if used.
There are a huge number of street dogs wandering in the campus

Placement Experience:

We have a well established placement committee for monitoring placements of students. We also have another committee for the training process required for placement session named training committee. The students of final year are eligible for placement session and students of pre final year are eligible for internship sessions.

My campus life was running very smoothly and happily
We got the best faculties who not only focus on study but also motivate to do invention for society
I live in the asia's second largest hostel and my institute is good looking in whole india

Dislikes

Due to very huge campus it is difficult to walk for doing something
Some faculties dont cope up with students

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year onward students become eligible for campus placements if they have skill There very many company visits and last year 1500 offers made 56 lpa is the highest package with 18lpa as an average package As per last year 100% of students placed After getting my degree I do a job for 2-3 yrs and did a startup

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
