It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.

Dislikes

The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

A Brief Introduction of NIT Rourkela

Likes

Campus life is very vibrant and pretty good in NIT Rourkela
Infrastructure is in the developing phase but still students will enjoy the enviroment in NIT Rourkela
The placement of NIT Rourkela is also pretty good.Most of the students get placed and the average package is 12.5Lpa

Dislikes

The course in not properly designed and some of the courses are irrelevant

1)In 5th Semseter campus student are eligible for intership and campus placements 2)The number of offers made where close to 1500 3)HIghest package recieved is 83Lpa and average package 12.5Lpa 4)There are close to 98% of students getting placed

All About NIT Rourkela

Likes

Great campus, amazing club culture and Grand Fests.
Supportive faculty, Good and experienced professors
Good accommodation,best hostel facility and best menu.

Dislikes

Some powercut during exam time and distance of hostel to departments.
The cost of eatables near or around nit is quite high.
There no interaction between juniors and seniors, hence a gap is created.

The placement ratio of nitrkl is improving year by year , students are eligible to sit in placement from the starting of 4th year, The highest package this year 2023 is around 80 lacs per annum. The avg package of mining branch is 9 lacs per annum for the year 2023, the percentage of students gets placed is around 80.

Likes

Regular Fests and Celebrations are great about the campus life.
High number of Companies visit the college and more than 1500+ Offers were made last year. Placements are good.
The infrastructure is standard. Overall Good.

Dislikes

The faculty are lazy and not interested to teach. The teaching methodology is boring.
The rules are bit strict for first year. Most won't listen to your request. The faculty have a bad attitude problem.
Same age old course being followed. I think more opportunities should be given to students in other branches to pursue career in tech.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships from 2nd year onwards. Campus placements occur in 4th year. Companies visiting include Top Tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Samsung, Qualcom, etc. Highest package was 86 LPA from CSE branch and Average package overall 12-13 LPA. More than 90% students get placed.

Campus Life is so good there nature are very good and all the things that we need almost there
Clubs culture are good most of the clubs are famous like Monday morning,Mavericks ,heartbeats , synergy,euphony etc in tech clubs aps ,cyborg etc are famous
Fest are also good many celebrations had came there and in fest many activities are there for students

No I am not dislike anything in campus almost all things are good according to me

No when the student having backlog he cannot sit in placement companies visited like Google mercides etc average package is 1295000 and highest package is 250000 100% placements is there after getting the degree I have placed and continue with the job

I mostly like the greenery campus here having a much space for the students.
Like the fests in the year having 2 big fests . We enjoyed much during the fests .
The mess food is very good . And we don't have to wash clothes or wash utensils after eating .

Dislikes

Semester exam timing is not good . It is between 2 months .
The morning class timing is from 8 that I don't like at all.
Holidays are very much less in number that infact disliked me .

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies visited are Microsoft, Google , Amazon , Accenture and many different big companies. The highest package in campus is 1 cr . The average package is about 13.5 lakhs per annum . About 95.6 percentage of students get placements . After the completion of degree I want to join a big company like Microsoft.

NIT-A Life of dreams

I mostly liked the campus life very much .
Faculties and teacher assistant are very good and their teaching are very good .
Placements are high and average package is also very good here about 14 lakhs .

Dislikes

I disliked most about the time of entry to the campus.
I also disliked about the class timing and it is from morning 8'o clock
I also disliked the system of examination time that is between 2 months .

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies visited are Microsoft, Google , TCS , Infosis , Amazon , Accenture. Students got highest package of 1 CR per year . Average package is 14 lakhs per annum . Mostly highest packages is from the companies from Microsoft and Google . At an average 95.7 percentage of students get placements from here. After getting the degree I think I will prepare for UPSE .

Awesome internships and placements if you are in nit rourkela

Likes

I liked the greenery of the campus and the environment
The fast food stalls near the campus and tried many new things here
The teaching style was unique here and many memories were made

Dislikes

The mess food quality was very bad and not good for health
The attendance policy here is quite strict
There are quite a restrictions here for the first year

Placement Experience:

After 7th sem the students become eligible for campus placements Microsoft, snapdragon, mediatek Highest package offered is 80 lakhs to a cse dept pupil avg package is 20 lakh for cse dept Almost 70 percent students gets placed successfully Becoming an alumni

Weather is very comfortable here nd its very refreshing
The behavior of all the people towards each other is very polite
The vast campus is like a big park for us to get our minds refreshed

Dislikes

We have to do a lot of cycling inside the campus as it is built in hilly areas
Food ordered through online is not allowed to enter the campus. One has to go to the gate to get it
We are not allowed to remain outside the hostel after 1 AM

From 6th semester onwards they become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like microsoft, cognizent etc visited and made several offers , the exact figure I could not recall. Highest package as of now according to my knowledge is 93 lakhs per annum, 70-80% students gets placed if they are sincere. I would live my dream after the degree.

Form 3rs semester onwards a student becomes eligible for campus placements. Many companies like tata,oracle,Google, etc are visited this college,highest package is 83 lakh and average is 12 lakh And low is 2 lakh per annum

THE campus life, the hostels, the environment.

Dislikes

No vehicles allowed to ride inside the campus, restaurants are expensive

Placement Experience:

Campus placements , students are eligible for internships from 2nd year onwards and get placements . Big MNCs have visited here like microsoft Barclays etc . Highest package was 83 lpa for FY2023 and average package was 19 lpa . Minimum 90% placement ratio. Upskilling myself.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience

NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
