- Courses and faculty - course are interesting and faculty is very enthusiastic and have great knowledge and have helping nature polite

Dislikes
- Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
- Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
- The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

- The scenery around here is quite peaceful.
- There are lots of sports facilities and good coaches for training the students.
Dislikes
- As the Campus is big, it takes some time to reach different buildings.
- The canteen is not open all the 24 hours.
Placement Experience:
The students recieve Pre placement offers in their third year and the campus placements begin in the fourth year. Almost all the students get placed and those who don't are the students applying for higher studies.

- I liked the fest culture and the extra curricular activities of the campus. I am also pleased to have a high internet connection in my room.
- I also liked the way of professor teaching us and the smart ckassrooms. I liked the library of the campus as all required resources are available there.
- I liked the placement season of the campus as a lot of the big companies visit our campus for placement and those who do well get a good package
Dislikes
- I disliked the grading policy of the professors. Sometimes grades are given absolutely rather than relative, it is not good.
- I also disliked the maintenance of some of the hostels.
- I disliked the recruitment process of some of the clubs of our institute. It is very rigorous to get into those clubs.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement from the 7th semester. There are around 150 - 200 companies visiting the campus during placement season and around 1500 offers were made last year. There is a good percentage of students getting placed around 82 percent of students were placed last year. My plan is to get a good placement in Google or Microsoft after the degree completion. The average package offered is around 18.5 lakhs and the highest was 2.4 cr for last year.

- There is no things that i dislike but courses are hectic so we have to study hard
- Personally i am from gujrat so it's very far from hometown so i get the very low chance to go back to home
Placement Experience:
Placements on my campus are excellent. We got placement of 2.4 cr abroad the previous year and 1 cr domestic package and many companies visit our campus every year, the average package is 29 lakhs which is very good. My plan for now is to get a good internship and Job. Almost 85 percent of students get placements every year.

- Faculty being rude sometimes. You always have to listen them
Placement Experience:
Placement policies are good here. You can take placement from the third year. May students take PPO. Almost all the companies come here from big to small. You can also do internships here in big companies. You just have to be aware of everything.

Placement Experience:
Students are offered internships in their third year and placements in their fourth year. However, internship opportunities come to students with skills of other years too. Many big companies have come for placements so far like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Wipro, Bajaj, etc. Last year highest international package offered was 2.4 cr annually to a CSE student and in the mechanical branch, it was 51 lakhs. Mechanical branch had a placement percentage of 87 last year.

Placement Experience:
In the 7th or 8th semester students are eligible for their placements and in the 6th semester, they are eligible for internships. Nearly all MMCs visit the campus or on-campus placement and 83% of students overall. And many students don't sit for placements because they want to pursue Higher studies. Ad the lowest offers package is around 7-8 lakhs.

Placement Experience:
Placements are very good in our college as they are in other IITs. The major MNCs like FAANGM companies for eg Facebook, Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, Google etc. visit our campus for placement for students. Almost 90% + of students get placed in these companies. I plan to continue the job which I get after placements.

- Weather - humidity most of the time and in summers evening it become worst
- Street food - not good for vegetarians most of the times only non veg is available
Placement Experience:
Placement - students of IIT GUWAHATI from the 7th semester are eligible for this process and no other competition
always big companies(like Microsoft, google, amazon etc.) come and recruit students in large numbers
students can get packages upto - 2.5 crores outside India and upto 1 crore in India
99% of students get places in CSE department 100% of students get placed with very good packages
after degree, I will get placed and will work for at most 5 years

- The beauty of the campus can't be expressed in words. The campus is awesome. It has 3 hills and 7 lakes inside the campus. The mighty Brahmaputra river flows by the campus and is just 15 metres away.
- The peer group is one of the best in India. The sports and hostel facility is the best among all IITs.
- The professor of the college are highly qualified
Dislikes
- Far from main town. The campus is situated about 20 km from Guwahati station. But you can take ferry which hardly tale 10 minutes to cross the river.

Placement Experience:
After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

Generally, placement takes place in the month of December from semester 7.
According to data more than 500+ companies in different industries have footfall on campus to hire the brightest minds.
About the average package, it is 21 LPA. Highest being 2.04Crpa.
My plans are simple as taking placements in IIT Guwahati.
