Here the faculty is very nice they are ready help when students need there help
Here placements is so good and many top companies are approaching to the college students here having good opportunity for the placements average placements is about 13lakhs per annual combining all branches
Many scholarships like fcc, nsp and others are student welfare related and do help the students alot.

Dislikes

Scholarship are there for weak section of society.. my fees is somewhat between 140000 to 150000 years as i didn't receive any scholarship or anything.
The hostel facility is not that great, there is a food problem in terms of taste and water problem in terms of hygiene, there are some issues with the internet also.
The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good

Overall College Review of NIT Silchar

Likes

Green and beautiful campus with a very large area, presence of more than 20 lakes .
All facilities required by a student are available here.
Football ground, cricket ground, etc. and indoor games playing area are available.

Placement Experience:

Right not ,the placement scenerio is very good in college. Last year ,highest package was 80 lakh per annum and average package was 16 lakh per annum and of my branch average package was 18 lakhs per annum.The top companies such as amazon, atlassion, facebook, myntra etc. visit our campus to give on campus placement and internship. my plan is to take on campus placemnt after getting degree

Likes

The college environment is very good and eco-friendly
The labs are well equipped with instruments..There is also a library which is Asia biggest library
The professors are very qualified and attentive

Dislikes

The administration process is little bit slow
The hostel facility is not good and foods are worst

Placement Experience:

The placement of college is very good ,and it's the second-best placement-giving college in north East. The average package of my college is 18 lpa. There is a training and placement cell in college which helps students to place in. Mostly 95% student of my branch is placed..if to any reason anyone doesn't get on-campus placement then he can also apply for off-campus placement as He is a degree holder from top nit so it will be easy for hime to get placed.

Beautiful campus. lots of greenery. unpredictable weather. good t-point. 625 acres. Tea Garden. 18+ lakes.
clubs of different aspects which helps individuals to groom.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. Companies like Atlassian, Google, Microsft and JP Morgan etc come and give healthy placements. Median salary is alsmost 15LPA. Percentage wise 95% students get placed while 3% go for higher studies.

Likes

The college provides a nurturing environment for me and everyone else to become what they desire in their lives.
Teachers and seniors are very helpful and interactive.
Good infrastructure for sports and other activities.

Dislikes

75% Attendence criteria is followed strictly.
The food in mess is not up to the marks .
The weather here is really unpredictable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from sixth semester onwards. More than ninety percent students were placed from my branch. The highest package was around 52 lakh and average was around 15 lakh. My plan is to get a decent job Or pursue higher studies.

Professor are very co-operative and have a very deep knowledge about the subject . They also create a very interactive class and also give us room to share our thoughts which led to overall development
Nit silchar campus have a very scenic view it can be consider as one of the most beautiful nit in whole india. The campus is complete green and 625 acres of land
Course cirrculum is very good and well designed it contains every aspect for a student including for their both technical and theoretical depth of a particular subject

Dislikes

Academic part is very tough and keep us completely pact with this so exploration new talents is killed
Hostels are not that good it requires improvement room size is also small

Placement Experience:

Placement is decent enough in our college and coming to our branch the highest package was about 52 lpa and avg of 12 lpa and more than 85% student got placed in companies . Various popular mncs are coming for placement and various core companies also recruit and even a few psu also visit our college

Placement here are quite good . Apart from recession and other stuffs, NIT Silchar really provides good placements. Those who want to go for higher studies can also get enough opportunities. If didn't get placement then you can try for off campus placements.

Good placement ...many companies come to our college
academic environment is good....teachers are helpfull
Green campus...many lakes and playgrounds are there

Dislikes

Syllabus is not up to date..it should be improved
Labs are not upto the national standard..shortage of equipments are there
Internet connection is slow in the hostels

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are become eligible for placement...In our campus numerous companies visit for placement including amazon, google..highest and average package vary branch wise...overall highest package is around 88 lakhs and average is around 12 lakhs..around 80-90 percent eligible students get placed ..

The campus is green campus. More than 21 lakes.
The overall facilities are nice. Nice collegem

Hostel food is not good. The taste is not nice.
The college is far from main town. It's a problem
The college is good overall. Hostel room size should be big.

Placement of the college is very good. More than 80 parcent students are placed. Google Microsoft oracle Infosys top companies visit this campus to hire employees. PSUs also come for placement. Highest placement is around 60 lakhs

hostel rooms are good enough. fully painted and well furnished
the campus is full of greenery. trees are located in each and every corner of the campus
food stals are located throughout the campus.

Dislikes

classrooms are not upto the mark. too much dirt in the classes.
internet connectivity is not good. the internet connectivity should be generalised for all the capacity should be increased
mess food is too much unhealthy. should increase the number of staffs in mess and the mess food. should be judged properly.

Placement Experience:

placements in this college is preetymuch good. averagely electrical students gets an package of u14 lpa unofficially. if YOU DONT WANNA opt for college placements, you can lso try for government jobs through GATE.

The campus is large and beautiful and feel so fresh.
The campus has many lakes. More than 20 lakes
Placement here is good study facility is good

Dislikes

Mess food is not nice. Tastes so bad yaak.
Hostels are not so comfortable. Feels old.
Internet facility is not nice here. It should be verified

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 4th year that is 7th sem. More than 80 parcent got placement in this college. I will go for offline that is off campus placement in Bihar board. Overall good college for placement
