IIM Raipur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for placements right from the 4th trimesters. students get a PPO in their SIP which means that they are placed in the 4th term itself but the majority of placements take place during the 6th term. Companies such as Deloitte, Cognizant, L&T visit campus regularly and they usually offer 12-14 LPA to the students. Last year a total of 191 companies visited campus. Last year the average package was 15.10 LPA and the highest domestic package was 27.5 LPA. The profiles offered are mostly marketing and operations profiles and very few general management and consultant roles are offered here. IIM Raipur has a record of 100% placements from the last 10 years.

150+ companies participated in the placement process last year out of which 50 plus were new recruiters. The sales and marketing roles had the maximum share followed by Analytics and Consulting, Financial Management, Operations & IT and General Management. Some of the companies that participated are Accenture, Aditya Birla, Cognizant, Amazon, etc.

Placement season starts from the end of term 5 itself. For Final placements, till now more than 70 companies have visited the campus. More than half the batch is placed. Average package is around 12 LPA. I plan to join an Analytics firm after MBA.

The placement cell works hard to ensure the whole batch gets placed. No. of recruiters for the batch 2018-2020 was 150+ with 50+ first time recruiters, offering coveted roles in Sales and Marketing, Financial Management, Operations and IT, Analytics, and Consulting. Highest CTC offered was Rs 46.00 LPA, the average CTC was 15.20 LPA, median CTC was Rs14.78 LPA. The offers are spread out across diverse sectors.

Final Placements starts from the end of the 4th semester and it has a 100% placement record. For the batch 2018-20, 150+ companies recruited from the institute with 50+ first time recruiters. The average package for this batch was 15.2 LPA with the highest package reaching 46 LPA and the top 25% bagged an average package of 21.28 LPA.

The placements at IIM Raipur is one of the best among the new IIM's. The institute bragged an average of 15.2 LPA and a median of 14.78 LPA for the academic year 2018-2020. The figures of the institute are the best among the new IIMS. The Institute welcomes the best organisation in India for its campus placements including Deloitte, Asian paints, United Breweries, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc. The Institute has a standard record of achieving 100% placements every year.

All the students in the first year have to mandatorily pursue a summer internship program after the end of the third trimester at IIM Raipur. There are plenty of opportunities for students across various domains. The placement activities are overseen by the Career Development and Placement Office. The average stipend offered at IIM Raipur was Rs. 88,139 in the placement season of 2019-20 with the highest offer at Rs. 3,91,000. For final placements, the average CTC offered was Rs. 15.20 LPA with the highest offer being Rs. 46 LPA.

Out of the shortlisted colleges I liked the prospectus of IIM Raipur and also the college had a location preference as it is located in the capital of the state. It also had a brand new campus which was inaugurated with our batch with all facilities like Single rooms, sports complex, swimming pool etc.

Far from the city, we need to travel around 40km to reach the railway station and as we recently shifted to the jew campus, there is very less connectivity from the city, though the college provides college bus f9r around 10km radius, we need more options to connect to the city
