It's a beautiful campus and well reputed university and the teaching staff is great with good experience
Every faculty members are not perfect but mostly are enough good with teacher and student bonding mind-blowing i can praise every staff members as well professors whose role is shaping students future wow
The hostels are quite decent and the food quality is also good.

THE 2ND CONS WILL BE ABOUT THE CAMPUS. SMOKING IS BAN IN CAMPUS BUT SOME CANTEENS SELL IT ILLEGALY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. 2. SOME CASES OF RAGING ARE ALSO SHOWN TIME TO TIME
In Jamia there is so many courses but the management for all courses are not enough good. Administration should take action regarding all the courses. Nowadays in jamia the management is going slow down. I mean it not effective in favour of students.
I don't like to Cheers of my university,and there are lots of things which have no importance of using in jamia Millia Islamia University and there are lots of disturbance in reading hall of jamia

environment is quite good....all the people there are friendly and cooperative
professors are great....they r ready to help any student with open heart....they are quite experienced in their respective fields
campus is so beautiful and clean....we can find many places in the campus where we can just sit and take a sigh of relief

Dislikes

hostel food is not very good....it is sometimes very oily sometimes insects are there in the food....
some of the students there do smoking...that smoking culture troubles me the most
hostel fee is increasing per year....its really not affordable for many of the students studying there...

Course Curriculum Overview:

my course is history hons.....talking about the syllabus....it is well maintained..it is divided into three periods....ancient for the first year,medieval for the 2nd year and modern for the 3rd year....the topics choosen are very interesting..besides this syllabus is also helpful for most of the competitive exams....

Likes

The best thing in our college is exposure of brilliant students and college faculty.
Highly qualified professors who shows the right path ad also share their brilliant experience
The infrastructure of college is very nice , college is spread over almost 200acres and transport facilities are also great

Dislikes

The placement cell of my college is very inefficient.
It is not able to bringmany companies for requirement
No more than 5 to 6 students per batch gets the placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course helps me alot to seek more and more knowledge and its background influenced me to choose this course. But their are some improvements which are necessary in this course that are teachers should interact more and more with students because its the course of interaction. The exams and timings of this course are perfect and challenging.

As it is very affordable college compared to other college and it is ranked third in Delhi in Engineering Field and overall third as well in whole india.You will get all the exposure here like you can meet people of different backgrounds and cultures
Teachers and professors are very kind and friendly they teach you with all their efforts and they motivate and make us feel high in every time .Labs are good and lab assistants are also very friendly so you will not feel any discomfort here in any of
There is seperate department and building for Btech and it makes us feel special in University and foreign students also study here and you can interact with them .There are sports tournaments in which you can participate from your department.

Dislikes

As it is cheap you will not get ac in first year .
Sports system is not as good as it would be.There is a separate spots complex in which timing is very bad as it opens during our class.
Boys to girls ratio is very bad here it is of 65:5 .

Placement Experience:

In third year students are eligible to do intern which comes in college every year and they provide PPO and after 7th semester students are eligible to be placed some good companies cone here like amazon and some companies takes students in mass.Average package of my department is over 900000 and about half of students get placed.

What I like about this college is the crowd is very good and there is libraries you can use until 12 am and there is also free high speed wifi
Infrastructure is really good there is greenery every where in every department there is garden in which you can relate after classes it's very soothing
The canteen food is very good and affordable there are like 10 or more canteen in the whole uni

Dislikes

What I dislike about my department is that teacher's behaviour isn't very goodmorning towards students
Teacher's method of teaching can be improved
I think after 12th doing this diploma is irrelevant you should go for graduation but if you are in 10th this is very good for you

This course is of 3 years after 6th sem you are eligible only if u have no back in any subject Companies like TCS Mahindra and indigo comes here for providing placement Highest was 70 lac by a student I don't remember the name and average is around 2.5 lac Around 10 to 15 people get placement in 60 students of one branch But at the end it totally depends on your skills I am thinking of doing BCA after this mostly people do btech but I realised engineering is not my cup of tea In bca I can focus on coding and web development

My experience in Jamia Millia Islamia

Likes

The university provides many courses in almost every field.
It also has labs in every department which are free to use anytime.
The college also conducts workshops and fests.

Dislikes

The lab equipment could be improved as they are a bit outdated.
The faculty is good but needs improvement in terms of classes conducted.
There are many social and cultural activities which might impact studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum provides good theoretical knowledge but it lacks practical experience. I opted for B.Sc. in Computer Science which requires good practical knowledge for coding but the course focuses more on the theoretical aspects.

It has the best return on investment as per my knowledge
There was no ragging and senior junior interaction was if friendly nature
The faculty and staff were very supportive

Dislikes

There was lack of hostel accomodation for students
As it was not residential so lack of interaction with senior

Placement Experience:

Placement is very good in top branches like Computer science electronics and electrical engineering but for core like civil and mechanical it was not so good. I had to look off campus for my placement Highest package as per my knowledge was 44 lpa at my time.

Jamia's Ambience

Likes

I love the faculty. They are very interactive and understanding.
Students are amazing, they're inteligent, they speak their heart out and they force you to study and speak.
Canteens are great and affordable. Hostels are amazing.

Dislikes

The academic procedure is hectic. You need to be very patient.
Hostel procedure is lengthy. They reject your application over smaller issues.
In our department they don't hace AC's or smart boards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love literature and wanted to know more about it and the curriculum and syllabus is great. There's hint of everything. You have poetry, fiction, non-fiction, American Literature, Indian Writing in English. It's a blend of everything you need to know. The curriculum prepares you for competitive exams and real world issues. You come to a better understanding of society and your mind expands to a better level of understanding. I don't find any flaws in the curriculum. Exams take place twice per year. Besides that internal assessment is there. They're not that difficult, they basically want to know your understanding of the problem and how you analyse the situation.

First of all jamia millia islamia is one of the top central universities in india . According to 2024 NIRF ranking jamia placed third position.
Zakir hussain library one of the largest library. We have department library also . We can find every standard books there .
When comes to the professors all are from very good academic backgrounds and everyone have very good research background also

Dislikes

Im from kerala . When it is comes to the dislikes i have to say that i couldn’t find any iclose friends here . I know it is because if my language barrier.
Another thing is that here no programmes or functions for entertainment.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement will strats from fourth semester. Jamia collaborates with multi national companies and provides students best placement. My plans after getting degree do some projects in labs under professors, or joining any biotech companies for internship . After that i will join for phd

The ranking of college is very decent so overall it's known everywhere and the research facilities of the institute is very well.
The faculties are very well and they work really hard for the students and also support students in the lab work
Overall the arena of college is very friendly, the senior's are also very supportive and friendly in nature.

Dislikes

Every coin has two sides, so there are some bug also, in the era of technology, still jamia's documentation is offline
Lot of space is available in the campus, but jamia have few no. Of hostels due to which students have to live nearby locality
The technical fests, societies are very inactive and students just focus on their academics and not on some curriculum activities, fests, society etc.

Placement Experience:

From 6 or 7th semester students get eligible for campus placement. Their are lot of companies visit campus every year such as TCS, atlassian, algessic india, chegg india, zenon analytics, reliance, precision industries (Dubai) and some public sector companies as well and lot more. Their are lot of offers made such as in last year a company named atlassian gives a higest package of 59.91 lpa to a cse student and average package is around 6 lpa.so overall placement is decent and varies year by year. As university doesn't provide the percentage placement list but this year, I've heard that 13% was ece placement, and the civil and electrical placement was very decent compare to others. My plans after degree is for higher studies from abroad or IIT'S .

Should we do diploma engineering from jmi or not.

Likes

Faculty's of jmi is well educated and give proper mentorship
The quality of the infrastructure including campus amenities and learning facilities is also so good.
Jmi provide career advancement services for placement.

Dislikes

Number of students is more.Student should be around 50 but in Mt class there is 72 Student.
Lifts is not in proper condition and sometimes you will be stopped by professors or guard to use the lift.
Placement is not up to the mark.If toh are brilliant student then you got 3lpa.

Placement Experience:

After 2nd year Students become eligible for campus placements. Hcl,TCS etc visit our campus and not so much offers they made. Highest package around 5 lpa and average package around 2.5 lpa. Percentsfe of students getting placement is around 50 50. Mt plans after getting the degree is to persuing btech.
