It's a beautiful campus and well reputed university and the teaching staff is great with good experience
Every faculty members are not perfect but mostly are enough good with teacher and student bonding mind-blowing i can praise every staff members as well professors whose role is shaping students future wow
The hostels are quite decent and the food quality is also good.

Dislikes

THE 2ND CONS WILL BE ABOUT THE CAMPUS. SMOKING IS BAN IN CAMPUS BUT SOME CANTEENS SELL IT ILLEGALY WHICH IS NOT GOOD. 2. SOME CASES OF RAGING ARE ALSO SHOWN TIME TO TIME
In Jamia there is so many courses but the management for all courses are not enough good. Administration should take action regarding all the courses. Nowadays in jamia the management is going slow down. I mean it not effective in favour of students.
I don't like to Cheers of my university,and there are lots of things which have no importance of using in jamia Millia Islamia University and there are lots of disturbance in reading hall of jamia

Hostel and Campus Review

Likes

All faculties are PhD holders and very talented
Quality of infrastructure, including campus amenities and learning facilities are excellent
At my time seniors are very polite and helpful in nature

Placement Experience:

Most of the students prefer to go for higher studies instead of doing job. This year placement rate was quite low as compared to previous year in my department because of the recession period, since most of the company was doing layoff

A general view of Engineering in Jamia Millia Islamia

Likes

The University is affordable and has decent labs for the price we pay, the professors are quite knowledgeable about their subjects and have enough experience to teach well.
The University is multi-disciplinary which helps an average students to interact with people of different courses and background which further exemplifies our knowledge.
The library is very well equipped, if books are not available in the Engineering library, you will surely find it in the central library.

Dislikes

The lab assistants are arrogant and often do not allow you to perform experiments well enough.
The general infrastructure is quite run down and it takes days for even basic faults- a faculty fan to get fixed.
The organisation is a beurecratic nightmare, you have to run to various offices to get a simple task done.

Anyone with a good enough SPI is allowed to sit in placements. This year(2024) we had the following placement percentages- CS- 44% ECE- 32.5% Electrical- 52 % Mech- 37% Civil- 55% Average package of 6.5 lpa Highest 18 lpa in campus

I like the building and the architecture of college
I love the staff and faculty members of college
I love the auditorium which is very big and beautiful

Dislikes

I dislike the cafeteria which is unhygienic
I dislike the benches feel uncomfortable
I dislike that they don't have ac in classroom

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is 3 year course and also b.voc which means you you gain more practical knowledge than theoretical, which helps students to secure jobs and make a good career. This course has a good career options for students who are interested in microbiology and hematology

Likes

Teacher focus mostly on practical knowledge instead of theoritical .
Student are not bully the freshers student due to rule regulations of University
Jmi provide very good canteen facilities.

Dislikes

Jmi is islamic university but most of the boys and girl usually have gf and bf which does suit university name.
Sometimes student do fight over girl and other issue which is not acceptable according to university reputation
Teachers comes late and sometimes cancel the class

Placement Experience:

As I early talk that Jamia is a national university which give a very good placement to a university student because one of the reason of student to get admission in Jamia is due to placement of university.so overall campus placement is very good of Jamia

Likes

Affordable college with very low fees as compared to other private colleges
Better environment for studies the campus is full of lush green trees
Better infrastructure facilities available in the campus

Dislikes

The campus is in Delhi which is full of pollution
The faculty is outdated most professor are very experienced with over 30 years of experience
As such placement are very low for this college

Placement Experience:

Our university offer placement support to students who are in final year by helping in preparing their resume and inviting different companies to campus for the recruitment process we have a dedicated placement cell for our department which works hard to get it's students placed

My view of jamia.

Likes

Campus and surroundings are very active and very beautful
The exposure is very good in the campus.
There are so much initiatives to increase productivity of student and to enhance professional soft skills.

Dislikes

The faculty is not supporting and they are not helpful.
Also language is a barrier for me they only use their native language
In outside the campus there is so much rush

Course Curriculum Overview:

As per the nep policy 2020 the new curriculum i feel it is not efficient and also they don't know how to impart the lessons with the students.They don't teach effectively.The new curriculum want to be improved.

A different perspective about JMI

Likes

There is many chances to participate in various societies or groups. Also have different extra curriculam activities like NCC , etc
There is a huge reading space for students. Also it opens in all days. It open at early morning and only close at late night. So it's very useful.
There is a good library which includes a plenty of books. Also University give wifi facility and microsoft access

Dislikes

Some department officials are very strict. So it may makes problems for newly admitted students.
Some time the classes are not taken and it only announce before minutes of that hour. It make problems for some students.
Some department's infrastructure is not modern and also maintenance is do not going properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA program in Jamia Milia Islamiya helps the students to get a detailed view on different disciplines. Also there has many students are in my course are preparing for upsc civil service, so this course is very helpful for them. After completing the course the student get many career opportunities. Also this course not make a big academic load.

My Heart at Jamia

Likes

The college campus is very breathtaking, All over greenry and old aesthetic buildngs.
My college faculty and teachers are very good.
Seniors are very helpful and society is also great it gives you a great exposure.

Dislikes

My timminng for class is evening for self finance so i don't like.
Clubs are not that good buy yeah societies are great.
Food of canteen is average but fast food and all other are great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course curriculum is relevnat to our field as my course is B.Com(hons). We have all relevant subject to ace our skills. I think classes like general urdu and islamiat should be once in a week so we get some time to relax . Classes are also on saturday which i think will be change in future as our facultu said.

Jamia in my eyes

Likes

I liked the exposure and beauty of campus inside the campus we can have a peaceful vibe there are so much canteens surrounded with nature.
Behaviour of staffs and faculties are very good.
Though the university is in delhi we can explore more places.

Dislikes

After exiting the gate of campus there are so many vehicles we cant even cross road. Anybody didnt stop
The air condition is very bad when i get outside i will start to sniffing
The department of commerce is not good as i expected because the teacher's cant teach in english they only know hindi. Though they are the proffesors of central university but they don't know hindi

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very good.As per nep courses are chaneg from three year to four year it is very good.there is minor, major, generic, voc, vac etc we can choose what we want in those, it gave a big opportunity

My dream university

Likes

Jamia is very close to my home and also for other student there is good public transport services like metro and dtc buses
It’s the central university and ranked 3rd in the last nirf ranking
Jamia’s ba llb course ranks 6th in india which is quite good and I cracked the entrance to become the part of this university

Dislikes

There is no swimming pool and sports complex timing is very bad for students
Thy don’t organise events like other universities do. Fests are not so good also

Placement Experience:

See in my course i don't think that there are good placements in other colleges too. Because max. Students go for litigation, for which they join their seniors for internships which makes them a good advocate. Mass communication course of Jmi ranks 1st in India In MBA last year there was a highest package of 33 lacs was given to a student
