Remarks:

Overall the college is one of the top 10 NITs of India and has good opportunities as it has given various alumni to the nation which have excelled in various fields of life. Still there is a lot of scope for improvement as administration needs to work hard for proper functioning of the college.

Remarks:

Its better than various colleges in india as its rank is 58th in India. Our placements are good. The location is very nice. We have lots of food places near us. The students are good here. Sebiors do help juniors here.

Good Acedamic Course Content

Remarks:

The content wise the college is good but the college has to increase the expertise in the current trends in the technology and the content of the curriculum has to be modified according. Also college need to provide more research opportunities to the students.

Remarks:

Everything is fine if you want to pursue higher study, other than it all the faculty member are good and very supportive in all aspects. One of good talk about the college is that it is well connected by all types of transportation facilities.

Remarks:

Corruption in the projects sanctioned. And in the developmnt of infrastructure. Pro's are : Ours is a large campus spread across 251 acres With a greenery and bus facility. The mess facilty is too worst But the room maintance is good

SVNIT academic curriculum

Remarks:

Stress to be laid on improving the quality of education. Some faculties are not teaching even close to the academic curriculum. This must be avoided.Also placement scenarios for core branches such as civil branch should be improved.

College Review

Remarks:

I think every college has its own ups and downs and there is not really an answer to this question. There are positive remarks and negative remarks, based on individual experiences of the students. I enjoyed my college life to its best. However, I think the academics were not as strong as I would have liked. I could complain about the outdated curriculum but I dont want to because I was least interested in studies during my bachelors. I have heard about a lot of corruption cases because there is big money involved when you are organizing big fests. I think some of them are based on truth but there are rumours too. I think that part is really saddening because at the end of the day, its people who are involved into selfish acts. But then thats human nature so you can not really do about it. So yeah, thats about it. There can never be a coin with only a single side.

This is one of the best engineering colleges

Remarks:

I guess that being able to take care of all the essentials the college is able to manage a very good name for itself. And being among the top NITS you are always welcomed by TECH. giants to work with them. And the officials at placement sell are doing a fantastic job to lure big companies to the campus thus letting students get full return for their hard work so I would say it's worth being a part of this wonderful family.

SVNIT is present in city SURAT , which is one of the most developing city of India. Everything is available here. Its a perfect place to make your dreams come true. Hardwork is the only way to do so. Also you can develop any of your skills here including singing , dancing acting etc.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
