Many companies like microsoft and facebook uber ola simens hero honda visits the campus almost 90 per cent of students get placed my plan is also getting good olacemen6
Students are also provided scholarships and financial assistance to get good cgpa in their respective semester job is also provided on maintaining good cgpa and having good skills
I liked the people here. the teaching method of the teachers here is very good. the campus of the college is very good.

Dislikes

Ffe is scholarship is non governmental scholarship which is missed to apply.
However for our batch the placement season was worst over the last 10 years with less than 50% overall placement.
Some professors are not that helpful and kind they just give us warning on everything

NIT Kurukshetra- Through the eyes of a sophomore

Likes

Interactive and helpful seniors. They are more like our friends and are always ready to boost us.
The workshops conducted provide a great scope for personality development and improving our skills
The green, clean and spacious campus. Our campus is really admirable which looks the most beautiful during monsoon.

Dislikes

2 mid semester examinations.Not all colleges conduct sessionals twice. Hence there is a burden of studies.
Not all people want your good and hence you have to be careful while selecting your companion.
Assignments! We have to submit assignments from almost every unit of all subjects.

Placement Experience:

The students are more oriented towards IT jobs and get placed easily. Some of the companies which recruit from our college are Microsoft, TCS, Airtel and many others. Our campus is often visited by PSUs like BPCL and HPCL. From 7th sem, one becomes eligible to apply for placements. There are many students who pursue higher education from reputed institutes like IIMs, IITs and IISc. The highest package offered was 1.25 cr in the last session.

the thing i liked the most is the campus which is full of greenery and has the best facilities and also one can avail them with ease
second thing is the workshops organised by the institute to motivate and give various information to student which helps them a lot

Dislikes

strict timing rules i.e girls are not allowed to go out of the hostel after 8:30 pm

Placement Experience:

Nit kkr give various opportunity to students regarding placement and intership. students are eligible for incampus intership and placement from 6 th semester only.While nit kkr is famous for its placement the percentage of placed students and average package varry from branch to branch. while the placement rate is around 75-80% , the highest package is around 60lpa while average package is around 14-20 lpa. more than 700 offers were made during 2023 placement .

NIT Kurukshetra: the only guide you need to read

Likes

Quality of students. Everyone has certain motivation and is quite intelligent here.
The number of different clubs and societies and various competitions which are conducted across the year
Labs here are well equipped with latest equipment’s and curriculum focuses more on practical approach rather than theoretical approach

Dislikes

Hostels are a bit old and mess food is not upto mark few days
A lot of mishaps happened recently in college including deaths and suicide and it causes negative impact on students
Kurukshetra as a location is very remote and outside college, you may not get many places to visit

Placement Experience:

Our college has a dedicated placement cell which helps students get placement and internship opportunities. Companies come for variety of roles including software domain, consultant role, data analytics, etc. average placement package is around 8-8.5 Lakhs

Placements are very good,which I think should be a priority for every BTech graduate.
Overall campus environment is nice ,the people here are very nice in nature and supportive.
Teachers and seniors are very supportive and always ready to help you.

Dislikes

Hostel and mess facilities are poor and need to improve a lot.
Fests are not up to the mark and need to improve a lot.
Lack of exposure and remote area location.

Placement Experience:

The placements from my college are above average comparing to many NITs. The average package is around 17 lakhs and for branches like Computer science and Information technology it's even greater than 21 lakhs. Mostly students who are eligible for placement get placed. The minimum package is around 6 lakhs which is not bad comparing to many other private colleges where it's close to 2-3 lakhs. Those who don't sit for placement either go for higher studies from IITs or Foreign colleges or they give GATE or other exams for government jobs.

NIT KURUKSHETRA- A BROAD REVIEW

Likes

Campus and campus life- The campus is spread over 300 acres while most of the area is actually forest still the campus is very beautiful and worth exploring.
Senior culture, coding culture, library - Seniors are very helpful and various events and workshops maintain the coding cultue of institute very well

Dislikes

Infrastructure- most of the buildings are very old and ugly. Also the benches are old and not comfortable.
Hostels - hostel rooms are old and compact. It is difficult for tall ppl to enter room because of small gate size.

Placement Experience:

For placements, students are eligible after 6th sem. Many companies including google flipkart microsoft tcs intel visit the campus for placement and internship opportunities. Highest package till now is 1.25 cr and avg package is around 15 lpa. The typical percentage of students placed is around 86% prior to 2024. My plan is to get good placement.

A complete journey of NIT Kurukshetra.

Likes

Campus of nit kurukshetra is beautiful and small which helps to interact and help to get vibe for study.
End sem process is quite good and help to get the detailed summary of whole course.
The interaction with the seniors is the best experience in the campus.

Dislikes

The decipline of the college is not good, there are much partiality between girls and boys.
The girls gate is closed at 8.30 but boys can still get the permission to roamed around.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good till corona but after corona the placements affected a lot. Because the companies started to layoff . But still the college have 60 percent placements done . The plans to get placement on campus is on and if there will be a risk then will check for the offer campus.

Campus is very good well maintained,with good infra for classes.Decent sports facilities.
Wide variety of cultural and technical societies that provide great opportunities to explore and follow your passion
Placement are decent , cultural diversity is also there you can learn about different cultures there

Dislikes

Food is something that let me down on most of the days

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts 7 semester onwards. Company like microsoft ,Google ,Amazon visit the campus. Highest package offered last year was around 54 lakhs, Placement percentage varies according to branch in CS it was 100 and varies from 90 to 100 among others. Our college also provides internship opportunities by calling companies to campus in the 5th semester. My plan is to get a decent job and get into the industry

Happy moment in NIT KURUKSHETRA

Likes

The infrastructure of classroom is very attractive. Teachers are very helpful.
There are 4 AC'S , 8 Fans and one projector in the classroom.
There is a big library for learning. There is a thought Lab in campus where you can go for meditation.

Dislikes

The course curriculum is very theoretical here.
Industrial visit is not timely here. Students put all efforts for industrial visit .
Few teachers are not in mood for teaching in classroom.

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are eligible for campus placement, but there should be no any backlog in previous semester. There are few companies like centilytics, Tech Mahindra, federal Bank come here for campus hiring. The highest package is 14 Lpa and average placement is 6-7 Lpa. There are total 80 percentage students placed here.

Friends- I have very good friends they are just like me to excited for learning new things
Campus life- one the place called oat(open area theatre) is one of my favourite place
Placement - 100% since last 3 years and it going on

Dislikes

Mess food- the test of food is not that much good what I excepted here before I admission

This is one of the best reason for any one to admission in this institution and also this the reason for me to admission here ,due to it provided 100% placement since last 3 years in specially mca course with average package 11 lpa and median 10.5 lpa

Life at NIT Kurukshetra

You will have an amazing campus life here, and You can capture memories from this institute. Various programs are conducted and have many clubs, crews, magazine festivals, societies, etc.
You can make a lot of friends but make sure to choose wisely for your well-being
The hush-green campus is incredible, giving off a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
The college is well equipped and has good infrastructure. The students have access to playgrounds, swimming pools, etc

The academic structure has entirely changed after the appointment of the new director, which is interesting and beneficial to the students.
This institute has an amazing library with a rich collection of books and periodicals
The faculty support is commendable here and this institute has an abundant alumni network
The new syllabus is good, which ensures full concentration towards internship during the sixth semester and students do not get pressurised by unnecessary exams
