I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

The beautiful life of NITK

Likes

Swimming pool gym tennis court SAC SJA pavilion
Sports complex beach library main building gardens
24 hours electricity and water festivals celebration

Dislikes

It is near beach so moisture content is high
So much rainfall in month if july and august
Snakes are there in campus but they dont bute unless harmed

Placement Experience:

Our college is tier1 college so placements are very good for CSE branch average package is 32 lakh and other branches also have around 20 to 30 lakhs package .95 percent students get placed every year .

Life of NiTk

Likes

Beach in our campus was very nice we can enjoy there
The nature in our was good greenery was also good
We have many facilities we can get everything inside our campus only

Dislikes

Humidity was not good here we feel very hot here
We will have water problem in summer and our water was also not too good
Here there are snakes cats and dogs everywhere

Placement Experience:

We have sufficient opportunities in the campus average package was about 1800000 we will have chances based on our talent here they will encourage new talent they will help us to reach our goal we have many opportunities so that we can surely get a job

Life at NITK

Likes

The campus is soo good. Weather here is decent. We also have good facilities
Speciality of nitk is here we have beach
We enjoy a lot . Here it is so peaceful in beach

Dislikes

Here there are more snackes in the campus
In monsoon there are many insects in the campus
Sometimes here weather is so hot that we also carry umbrella

Placement Experience:

For 7th and 8th semester students usually get placement offers . Placement offers here in nitk is soo good. For core branches placements is comparatively less than non core branches but there are also good placements. Nearly all of them get placements.after getting into 4th year placement I will be working for the company.

Life in Nitk

I like the beach very much in the campus
the fests and club activitys I like very much.
the playground is very big with many facilities

Dislikes

the building are not that good and the infrastructure is not good.
the hostel doesn't have cleaning facilities for cloths
the non technical labs not that much good

placements are okay.placement percentage change from branch to branch .in our institute information technology has highest placement percentage of 99.highest packages aroung 54 la.there many companie offer like google

NITK- The college of dreams

Likes

The campus life in college is a very exciting and fun one
The infrastructure of the college is good
The faculties are highly knowledgable and help u out a lot

Dislikes

The hostel rooms provided are old and the washrooms arent maintaned in a great way
The quality of the mess food isnt that good

Students become eligible for campus placements in their 7th year, there are around 100+ companies that visit the campus, namely, Morgan Stanlet, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and many others. The placement record is almost 95%. The highest package offered is about 58lk and average of 20lk

Our collage has a beautiful Beach, and sea
Collage has a lot of greenery. So many tress and plants are there
Collage infrastructure is also very good, there is a lot of beautiful buildings.

Dislikes

I don't dislike any thing about this college
There is one thing though which are snakes
Snakes and insects are there since our college is situated near forest

Placement Experience:

Overall placement of collage is excellent. Average overall package is 20 lpa. As I am in civil department so for civil department average package is around 13-15 lpa. Highest package is around 24 lpa and for technical branches is it arroud 30-40 lpa.

Climate issues climate is very much humid here

Our college offers good placements to students in reputed companies such as Google Microsoft mindtree Adobe MRFL TCS Infosys etc. Our college also offers intership to students during 2nd 3rd year. If students perform better in intership they can get a pre placement offers before 4th year. Almost 95% of the students get placed and some go for their further studies

The college has more clubs than one can remember every wish or intrest can be fulfilled what sacrifices one has made earlier can be enjoyed
College offers beautiful scenic environment which is leaded by college's private beach and the campus has amazing forest cover with peacocks and other beautiful creatures
College placement is something which attracts the most students of you enter this college placement is something which is assured

Dislikes

The college curriculum consists of constant test which after one point looks irrelevant and unnecessary
The hostel provided for Btech first year students is not upto the mark the hostels are spacious bit other facilities such as bathrooms are no good than public toilets
The weather is something which tough to adapt to . Constant rainfall and high level of humidity is tough to bear for people coming from different environments

Placement Experience:

Placement of college is more that 90 percent with the average package revolving around 15LPA students are eligible for internships in 4 th sem and placement starts from 3rd year itself . There is a wide range of companies will visiting the campus from Microsoft Google Oracle IBM L&T Goldman Sachs College being in the same state as of Bangalore gives an edge for placements Highest package for this year's season is 55LPA which usually for every year is around 50 LPAs My plans after degree is to get work experience for few years then work for my own construction firm .

Very good college,provide nice experience both academically and your personal life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Computer science curriculum is based on practical world and the curriculum has been updated recently and courses here teach you to learn competitive coding. Faculties are good,experienced and from forgien universities ,they teach well and help us to learn course in a usefull manner. Some Faculties doesn't interact much and the corrections of papers,and tests are in hands of respective Faculties. Exams are tough based on our Faculties,generally in 1st year dept sets paper and for everyone paper is the same

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
