Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

The environment of this college is very nice
Academics are tough but it's good for us
Fest of this college are very good and also the clubs are good

Dislikes

There is language Barrier always have a critical role .
The area near this college is not good and not friendly
The attendance thing is not good here there is mandatory 80 percentage attendance

Because I like this course and I found this course is good in this institute so I took this course ,the teacher and student ratio is 1:35 The faculty is very experienced and teaching method is good, there is mid term and endsem exam .

The friends that I have met hear are matured

The fests are not initiated for us It is the worse case
Food is the major problem for me I didn't like it
The culture also I didn't like sometimes

I have choose this course on my interest and more fascinated towards electronics.yeah,the faculty is excellent and provide more information to the students.Student ratio comes to nearly 4:1.the exams will be conducted based on academic schedule.

Real life in Nits

Likes

i like the fests. we have one technical and cultural fests
i like the spoarts facilities, we can indoor auditoriams amd grounds

Dislikes

I dont like the management faculties. dean and other higher faculty
Some buildings are quite old, should need a good infrastructure

the course curriculum is good. faculty are highly qualified, as i choose electrical and electronics branch, some of the core subjects were difficult but our faculty teaches in a way through many self made ppts

Atmosphere and campus scenery also manitainance.
Faculties are quite friendly and give suitable suggestions not only regarding studies also for personal life.
Seniors are best advisors. They give support to stay strong .

Dislikes

Having one mid term and end term becomes hectic for student
Protests which are going to damage the college reputation
Regarding fee infrastructure should provide financial support for single employment

Placement Experience:

In 3 Rd year the college provide internship opportunities and in the final year the placements starts offers high paid job opportunities. In our department the percentage of students gets placed is 97%.the companies visited are oracle, Texas instruments, Bajaj auto etc recruit based on their requirements. My plan after getting degree is to survive as independent women .

Likes

The environment of this college are very good people are very helpful.
The placement ratio is very good here and academical activities is very strict here
The fests and extra corriculum activities always happens in college

Dislikes

Campus is not good as we expected for a national level college
Academic and attendence is very strict as compared to other colleges

This course is very interesting course in this course you learn about physics in microscopic level ,for this course faculty ratio is good because there are only 30 people are in this course,the teachers are very good in teaching and all teachers are PhD completed ,there are midsem and endsem or half yearly exam only conduct and assignments and surprise test also there

I like the atmosphere of the campus and hostel rooms
I like sports facilities and fests that are conducted every semester
Faculty teaching and friends i met are the best

Dislikes

Classroom benches, fights or protests that happen
Poor bus facilities, mess menu, strict schedule of classes
Hostels are very far from campus should walk long distances to reach classes

Placement Experience:

They provide with a good placements. Many companies visit campus every year. They provide placements to many students. Many big companies visit like goldman Sachs, oracle etc. Approximately 90% of EEE students get placed

LIFE AT NIT CALICUT

Tathva it's. An tech fest which is conducted by tatva team
Proshow it will be held and all over india celebrities comes together
Nature there will be mostly friendly environment

Dislikes

Travelling from mega hostel to class is difficult
Securities are always asked for I'd in some emergency cases
No proper classes and benches for department building

In 3rd year there will be an internships and in fourth year we get selected through placements I'm pursuing EEE so for our brach it will approx 12 lakhs per annum 94 percentage of students gets placementmy plan is to start a startup

nice environment,all basic necesities are covered
faculty is nice and are well qualified .
the infrastructure is also very well in terms of facilties.

Dislikes

some basic necesities in some hostels are not upto mark
the maintainace of infrastructure is not upto mark

yeah the placement procedure is quite okay.many big companies like goldamn,linkedin have visited.as far as i know the highest package is around 45lakh per annum.in cse as per now placement percentage is above 80.

campus cleanliness, nature, structural buildings for required department
esports of mobile games are conducted during Tathva fest
Fests and culture are strictly performed in campus

Dislikes

Ragging is the only thing I feel discomfortable
strict faculty who not even try to be friendly with students
institute involving in caste related fights

from 3rd sem students are eligible for placements and internships almost all well placed companies visited like google,microsoft etc.. highest package is 68 lakhs for cse branch and average package is 20 lakhs for cse 80% students are placed

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
