Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

REVIEW OF OVERALL NITC

Likes

I like the college environment which is full of greenary having a peaceful environment brings us mor activness
I like staff members who treat the students well and helps them in their studies
I like the facilities provided by the college like library badminton court etcc

Dislikes

This year we had a lot of protests done by students in the campus due to this we suffered much
We had a repair of washrooms in hostels in the academic time due to this we are having some difficulties
Due to protests happened we had online classes for two weeks before the end semester which is not good for the students

Placement Experience:

Students in the third year start getting internships and job opportunities according to their talent. We had different companies offering placements based on our talent and capabilities.we have 14LPA as average package last year.

The main thing i like in nit calicut the placements program. almost 70% of the students get job via campus placements
I like the revise curriculum which enable the students ti explore deeper in to their opted course
I like the variety of fest and events that are conducted almost every month .

Dislikes

there are a ton of stray cat and dogs which has ssome kind of disease which are left untreated and left starved
there is a lot of academic pressure and tension
the curfew timings were reduced to 11:30pm

Placement Experience:

nit calicut has a dedicated placements cell that works with the studenstand companies for placements. these cells train the students for interview and resume writing and onnects the students with potentioal employers.many companies like multinational companies,start ups etc... conduct the campus placements. eg: google and qualcom

Placement Experience:

Each and every year placement programs were conducting.A student must be pass without any supply can sit for placement.There will be placement orientation programs.The placement cell is verey effective.Each year different companies were conducting placements.

4 years of reality of life

Likes

Night life of the campus you can roam around the late night play with friends eat during nights
Hostel Life friends are very chill games movies fighting ipl FIFA evry
Ragam cultural fest where somany events were there it was superb

Dislikes

Record writing for labs which takes long time
So many hours of classes which is very hectic schedule
Difficult of exams it's hard for an average students

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem you are eligible for internship and after 6th sem you are eligible for placement. There are so many companies like Amazon tata Mahindra bosh Google etc... Highest package 47lakhs in 2023 and 84.76 were placed . My cgpa is low so getting placed in very less chance so I will try off campus placement or try upsc or psc .

I like the overall campus life of our college
Technical fest -Tathva and Cultural fest - Ragam
Culture of NITC with different people from different state and countries

Dislikes

The dean student welfare is not considering students need
Curfew rules are again enforced on students
Increment in hostel fee in the name of establishment fee

Placement Experience:

Placement drive is very good.we can apply for internshisps from 3 rd year and placement on the final year . Most of the companies are not open for Civil though companies like L n T, Relience McDermott visited and selected 30+ students. Only 40% placements are there for civil . I am hoping to get placed in one of the construction companies from campus drive itself and pursue MBA from IIM after that

My Journey at NITC

You get to meet a lot of interesting new people. The experiences I shared with them will always be special.
Materials Science and Engineering department has some great faculties. You get to build a relationship with them outside the classroom.
The research facilities, the first class instruments available, the project works happening are all great innovative works which help the students build their aptitude towards research.

Dislikes

Few lectures can be boring and the faculties can seem strict.
Strict attendance maintenance. A minimum of 80% attendance needed to maintained.

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for placements in the final year. The placement drive will begin at the start of the final year and is carried throughout the year. Google, Microsofot, Gameloft, Accenture, Micron are just some of the companies that have come to NITC. The average package at NITC is 10-12 lakh . However students have been offered packages as high as 75 lakhs in my year. NITC had a very high placement percetage of around 90 percentage in my final year. Most of the companies coming will be IT companies. Many core companies do come. For materials science, MRF, Micron, L&T were some of the core companies that had come. I have been in placed in Brillio.

The campus is very green and eco-friendly
The freedom we have here is very enjoyable.
The exposure we get even in our first year

Dislikes

They recently reinforced curfew system, forcing us to stay within our hostel premises after 12 at night
Mandatory 80 percentage attendance leads to hectic schedules

Placement Experience:

We have great placement opportunities here. Almost over 90 percent 9f the fourth years are placed every year. The average package is 13-15 lakhs per anum. The highest package is about 65 lqkhs 0er anum

You wanna know about NITC

Likes

The campus. The campus is very nice as it it ecofriendly. There are lots of place for the rest and nice canteen for food.
The first year classroom. This is my first time to have a class like this and i never had it before.
The freedom. People do not mind on unnecessary business and be serious and stay together if necessary.ssary

Dislikes

The cats and dogs,. There are so many cats in my hostel and dogs in the campus. They do not disturb us. But still i don't like them.

Placement Experience:

The NIT Calicut has 100 percentage placements as per my knowledge. And they deserve that. Students are very innovative. From 6th semester itself students are being placed. And it depends upon the students.

campus - we have a large campus where we are free to roam around and relax after classes or even at night
campus life and freedom- coming from a strict cbse school i feel very free in this canpus
exposure- many students from various backgrounds come here. i like the diversity here

Dislikes

the recent changes made by the administration which is affecting the harmony of the campus
old infrastructure which is not managed properly
80% mandatory attendance can be very tiring sometimes

Course Curriculum Overview:

nitc is highly regarded for it academic accolades amd its curriculum. my course is considered to have a hectic curriculum. the teachers are all highly qualified. we have exams twice per semester- midsems and endsems. the level of difficulty of certain subjects is high, and it requires us to study hard even to pass the subject.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
