Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Likes

the greenary,atmosphere,plants,chechis,chetas in our campus are veryh good

Dislikes

attendance requirement is necessary for writing endsem which will be difficult for some of the students

this year mechanical department has vast number of palcememts compared to cse and ece tvs yamaha mrf companies arevisted for palcements around 90% of students are palced this year after my degree i want to be an automobile engineer

The sorroundings,the people,the culture and friends.

Dislikes

Restrictions for first year students concerning abt the safety.

Placement Experience:

From S6 students can sit for placements in our campus. There were so many companies who visited our campus.Some main companies are Mahindra,Tata,Oracle l, Microsoft etc... Last year highest package was around 55LPA Percentage of students getting placed is over 90. I'll go for Mtech.

The campus life in green environment in campus.
The culture of people stay in campus and out side the campus.
Facilities which are provided by institute.

The faculties behaviour on students. specially in telugu student.

Placement Experience:

Placement offers in NIT CALICUT according to the cutoff CGPA of 7. The biggest companies like microsoft, tech mahendra Google and etc. will also come to our college for recruitment. For our branch the highest package was 38 lac per annum.

LIFE IS MIX OF GOOD AND BAD

Likes

In nit Calicut I liked is malyali girls and good environment here in campus
Fests are best here .. during those days our campus becomes like a carnival
Freedom here is great for students and life is good with meeting people from different states

Dislikes

Attendance... actually we need have 80 % of attendance to write end sem exam
Bad administration and people in high position are currupted
There is language barrier in this college

Actually I'm not into placements because of this physics department and their strict rules and I'm planning to prepare for upsc after my graduation and average package for our department is 12.5 lpa and highest is 38 lpa

I liked the way of teaching faculty and genuine output of every mind set
Cultural festival will be celebrated it was very memorable
Workshop and memes street play will be conducted

Dislikes

There is no particular things to dislikes
This years due to some reasons my collage festivals got cancelled this is one i disliked
Some times strick and disturbance of birds in campus

Campus placements are not bad from semester 3(2) itself Campus internships and placements will be started many software companies will be visited and core company to in civil soba l&t Aditya birla and others Average package is 20lpa After degree iam planning to prepare for government exams

have a good infrastructure for academics and hostels but lacking in sports infrastructure.
having freedom to use the campus at any time.
good support for the sports persons from the campus.

Dislikes

dont have a proper infrastructure for sports.
no proper entrances in to the campus some of the gates are closed.
attendance percentage can be kept 70 instead of 80

Course Curriculum Overview:

there will live sesssion like field works and field trips thats helps in better understanding. for every semester they will collect teacher feedback personally from each student that helps in improvement or change of teacher. there will mid sem and end semester examinations and presentations in between and the difficulty levels will be moderate

College environment is good overall
Infrastructure is also good with greenery and all.
Labs are Air-conditioned and well maintained.

Dislikes

Some of the faculties are more biased sometimes.
No faster response from Registrar for various activities

Placement Experience:

As we are in Recession period,Placements are little bit low right now. As there are many issues now national wide protests and all. It has affected our placements a little bit. But most of the CSE Students will get placed.Average package will be like 21 lakhs before but now it's down to 17 or something due to recession.

NITC - The true life here

FACULTY - Faculty are very much concerned about students they will try to motivate everytime. The quality of content they provide us also very much appreciated.
NATURE - The nature around college is top good. During the may,June, July it is heaven it is too good. I had wet to wayanad, malppuram, Kozhikode they are way too good.
FOODS - There are a lot of foods to try near college. It include Shawarma, Bake house biryani, Broast mandhi,etc which I feel so good.

Dislikes

COST - The cost of foods inside the campus in various canteens is too high. It is better to avoid there and get mess which is 140 per day.
INFRASTRUCTURE - Personally for EEE infrastructure is not good. But quality of studies is good.
RAJPATH - Rajpath is the main way when you enter nit Calicut campus, but the main thing is it is full of crow shits and we don't know when they fall on us. I had got 3-4 times on me it is very sad experience.

Placement Experience:

1) Students of sem 5 are eligible for internships. Students of sem 7 are eligible for job placements. 2) The companies which visited for our internships are: -Oracle -Texas -TVS -Bajaj -Goldman Sachs -Accenture -BIS -Intuit -Trilogy -Deutsche bank -AMWAY -Amazon -Arcesium -Atlassian And many more nearly more than 50 companies visited. 3) Our serious got placements in a lot of companies includin above other companies like Reliance, Carl zeius, Microsoft etc include a lot of big companies. 4) The highest package as of now is 38LPA and average package is around 10 LPA. 5) As per records of last year CSE -100% ECE - 94% EEE - 93% MECH - 93% these will be taken by software and core companies but companies for non core departments such as civil, chemical is less . But there are students who got highest packages from chemical too. 6) I am planning to work in software company because I was personally interested in coding and software development. If not I would also be writing GATE.

Overall college is good.

Likes

Mess food is sometimes good and sometimes it's bad.
Grading is relative so not to worry much about passing marks.
Faculty is so responsible and so much caring about the students..

Dislikes

Thsi year placement percentage decreased to 84 percent
Faculty teaching is not so good but sometimes understandable.
Exams are really tough even internal marks like quizzes are tough.

Placement Experience:

1) From 4 sem students are eligible for campus placement. 2)many companies like Microsoft, Infosys,JP Morgan,Google,Amazon etc. 3)in 2023 highest pakage is 47lakhs per annum.and average pakage is 21 lakhs per annum 4)84 percents students are getting placement 5) waiting for placement.

Nice campus weather and some more places have to construct
Nice library and good scope for the learning
Nice friend there is full divifided campus

I don't like fauctly people targeting the students
There is no security in the campus like locals can come any time

A very nice placements offers are there in my campus in 7 semester more students are getting placed companys like Mahindra bosch and some more company are there there is 70 percentage of students are getting placed in every year

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
