Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .

Dislikes

In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

Future of NIT Calicut depends on the authority

Likes

The campus atmosphere and facilities provided
Cultural events technical events all student organized events
Transport facility library facilities etc

Dislikes

Authorities decision without the consideration of student heads
Closure of library gates for unknown reasons
Bird shits on the road of rajpath which is not comfortable

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 4th year though they would be open for internships from the 2nd year . Companies like Tata Bajaj jaguar amazon flipkart titan Maruti etc . Last time highest package was 25 lakhs per annum And avg pack was 12 lakhs per annum 70 to 80 percent students got placed last year

Review of a wonderful college.

Likes

Environment, activities, fests and functions, friends, hostel life.

Dislikes

Politics going on between north and south students, like who is going to be branch representative or selections in teams.

Placement Experience:

A variety of companies come for placement to our college. Ater 8th semester, students can apply for placements. I haven't done much research on these matters though, as I am in my 1st year.But as far as i know, the highest salary was 64 lakhs per annum and lowest was 6 lakhs per annum.I plan to try campus placements after getting my degree.

Review on NIT Calicut

Likes

Placements. They are amazing and everyone gets a chance.
Clubs. Super engaging, and they conduct fun activities.
College fests. They give us 3 days of fun experiences, and a month of learning new skills while preparing for the fests.

Dislikes

Hostels, i could have lived in better hostels.
Regionalism. Different state people hang out with other
Location. The college is quite far away from the city

Placement Experience:

As far as i know, students from 3rd year can start getting internships through the campus placement seasons.and there is a high chance that most students get placed, as our college placed 1000+ students into different companies last year.

Review of college

Likes

I liked the studious and ragging free campus ,which keep all students safe and fit
Placement is also good as they offered a good amount
Eee is tough branch as compared to other but some faculties make it easy

Dislikes

Management staff as it's is situated in Kerala there is difficulty in communication
Some of them are very rude they don't even tell how much their attendance percentage
There is so much crowd in our campus and in evening there is 60-70 percentage change that you will be got dirty by their shit

Placement Experience:

After entering in 8 th semester all students which have minimum cgpa of 6or above are eligible to campus placement . Almost all big giants come for campus placement like Oracle , Facebook and Google and approx 90%student got offered from our branch in the campus placement. Highest package is 50 lpa and average is 14lpa . I will opt for mtech or campus placement

Favouritism favours on mallu students state politics
Faculty are strict and no mercy for weak students
Infrastructure is not good and they are not spending enough on fest and all

From 3rd year students get eligibility for placement! Companies like microsoft adobe amazon goldman sachs sprinklr google visits campus for students Highest package is 88lacs Lowest is 5lpa Average 20.4 100 percent student gets placed

Nitc a soulful campus

Likes

Facilities and faculty are excellent in teaching
Library Facilities are amazing and all are upto mark
Also the classrooms with projector and all

Dislikes

Nothing else that I dislike here the campus is nice
But the hostel facilities should be still improved
Also the syllabus coverage is not fine and it's not being done in time

Placement Experience:

Students can be placed after their 7th semester and highest package is 8.1cr till now and the average package is 10 lakh per annum.. Minimum percentage of students to get into companies is 70... atleast 7 cgpa is required for placement

Observation about NITC

Likes

I like the sports meet and clubs organised after making the talent to explore
Regarding studies it very adapative and faculty are very talented to teach students and train them in a systematic way
Hostel and mess are very hygienic and maintained very neat

Dislikes

Very strict rules like only 11.30 is the last time for entering into hostel

In our campus after 6 semister , students can take placements.many companies like L.G,TVS,Dell, Microsoft.will be visiting our campus and highest package of our campus is 48 lpa with an average of 15lpa.in our college nearly 95 percent students gets placed .I am planning for startup after getting degraa

I liked the sports and there are different opportunities for sports

The placements are good and all the students who are having minimum cgpa can participate in placement opportunities so that all the students can maximum get placements every student can get average package of 10 lakhs per annum it's pretty good and all it's one of the most happiest thing in the campus

From 6th semester onwards campus placements are available.there are many colleges which are visted and offered placements.around 50 lakhs per annum is the highest package and around 20 lakhs is average.for people who got cgpa greater than 8 around 95 percentage got placement.my plans are either getting job or doing mtech.

Likes

The things I liked at this college is their culture and their curriculum
One more thing is about the nature in the college
One more thing is admission process in the college

Dislikes

Campus is too old and not having much good infrastructure
Caring is not upto the mark as we expected
They are providing enough internet and blocking every small websites

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason behind choosing this course is that I have given preperence to the college than the respective branch. Faculty are in the correct ration if we get any doughts they will solve if we approach them in time. The qualification of the faculty is good enough but the teaching is not upto their level. Exams are frequent and conducted suddenly as surprise twsts

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-

The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.

NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
