VNIT Nagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

VNIT Nagpur is a reputed college, It is near to my hometown (this was one criteria i used to choose the college), materials eng. dept. is good and reputed(the branch i wanted to do M. Tech), my gate score fetch me this college , I couldn't get IIT at this score

Good thing is infrastructure, vast area for playgrounds and good exposure for students, the teachers and Professors come under world's top 4% of scientists. There is a variety of clubs and societies which enhance the personality of any individual.

It's nirf rank, reviews, nit tag, good spot, healthy environment, vivid range of courses , faculties, students. Good campus reach. I used Shiksha.com while selecting, comparing colleges. Admission is through JOSSA, everything was online, even fee payment. JOSSA made things very clear & easy. Preparing list of colleges in proper sequence is really important.

VNIT is situated in Nagpur, which is full of core industries. So it is better to find internships and jobs for core students. Admission process is simple. CCMT is the portal where you register and upload details of GATE score and fill up the college preferences. Then cap rounds are held and seats are allotted.

Main Factors - Course, Placements, Research, opportunities. I appeared for GATE Mechanical and based on my score I was allotted VNIT in Cap round. Since this college is in Nagpur, which has good number of industries and is a big city in terms of opportunities, I decided to go with it.

First of all it is an institue of National Importance and students who come here are those who clear jee with good ranks.So i thought that will help me as a person to grow and develop.As we know that NITs are top engineering institues in our country, i always wanted to be there.Moreover i was able to get into CSE branch in VNIT.

I selected this college because of its reputation and decent career opportunities. Secondly it was in my home state. I saw many reviews from careers 360, shine, collegedunia websites which mentioned about course, campus experience, infrastructure etc.

Companies like D.E.Shaw India Pvt. Ltd., AppDynamics India Pvt. Ltd., Goldman Sachs, Sling Media Pvt. Ltd., J.P.Morgan Services, L&T Group, Bajaj Auto, Box8, Lowe's India, Godrej Industries, BrahMos Aerospace, HPCL, Fidelity Investments, NXP Semiconductors and many more visits VNIT. Student's in the final year of BTech are eligible for campus placements (after their 7th sem). Cgpa must be approximately above 7.7 to get placements chances.

campus placement is generally eligible in the last year. for architecture, the term campus placement is not fitting in this college. there is only a single company taking students from here in the name of campus placement. the intake is less than 5 students out of 80. more students go for starting a firm by their own or do post-graduation. i think ill do the post graduation after my degree.

For Mtect from the second semester on board, we are allowed to sit in Internship drives. The most special thing about the ECE department is they allow student for 12 month internship, which says in the 2 years of MTech degree one will be for theoretical knowledge and another one for projects or internship both options are available for every student. The minimum package is around 5-6 lakhs per annum and the average is around 8 to 10 lakhs annually.
